Our home has beautiful gardens, we have a number of ground floor rooms that lead out directly into the gardens. We do have a few large rooms on our first floor, which are suitable for married couples to share, or for those who require more space. Our pre-admission process will determine the needs of a individual and this will then detail the fee we charge. Some rooms have a higher price, for example for garden rooms and larger rooms.

My mother has been in Corner House for over two months and from my initial meeting with Jack and subsequent meeting with Kate I felt that Corner House was the right place for my mother and I am pleased to say that this proved to be right. From her arrival when members of the team came in to introduce themselves to her and to welcome her their warmth and care has been exemplary. They are encouraging, engaging and warm, with nothing being too much trouble. As a regular visitor I have been made welcome and involved in all aspects of mum's care. They are diligent in her medical needs and well being. Food is excellent and well presented. The home is clean and without smells as may be associated with some other care homes. Mum is very comfortable and happy there. Their activities and initiatives to promote well being and understanding are excellent, recent initiatives include dementia awareness and falls prevention. My thanks go to every member of the team for all they do.

I am a bit sensitive to smells though!!

Mum and dad went to live in Corner House residential home in 2024. I was very anxious at first because I live so far away I could only see them occasionally. I needn't have worried they were looked after very well. Dad passed last year and his care was exemplary and everyone missed him with some of the carers coming to his funeral. Mum has dementia and when she went to live in corner house she was a meer shell of herself. Since then she has become more alert, she eats well and really enjoys some of the activities. The staff put pictures and little videos of the residents taking part in the activities on their social media page. I go on every day to see if I can see Mum and its such a joy to see her joining in. When I go to see mum she always looks happy and well cared for. The staff really care about the residents and are always planning activities and little outings. I don't get anxious anymore because there really is no need to.

The weekly activities are amazing, even the option to get your nails painted makes it feel like a home not just a care home, which was one of the things that was really important to my family and one of the reasons we chose this home.
