My father who suffers with dementia stayed at York House for a 4 week respite. During his stay he was entertained, stimulated, enjoyed his meals & was treated with courtesy & kindness. The staff were truly lovely. Although the home is undergoing some renovation work, his room was clean & tidy, as were
all the communal areas. I couldn't fault the love & care he received. Many thanks to you all. xxx

Grandma is very happy - I always find the staff warm & welcoming- Millcroft has lots of activities that she enjoys with the added bonus of trips in the minibus - all the other residents seem happy and chatty & the food looks good too - GMa always says how she enjoys it especially as she doesn't need
to cook
Grandma struggled at home with isolation and now has an extended 'family' with all the staff and other residents
My mum is also pleased that Millcroft take such good care of GMa - thank you!!

My experience of Yoak Lodge has been positive from the start! When I looked around on behalf of my father, I felt welcomed and was given all useful information and advice, I was given a choice of rooms and chose one overlooking the garden as my father really enjoyed his garden at home, especially watching
the birds.
I feel that I receive good communication from the staff and the management team keep me included in all changes, updates or decisions regarding my father.
I feel My father is well cared for, he is always clean, appropriately dressed and groomed.
Staff interactions I have seen are positive and when he has struggled or become angry/confused their time and understanding is clear and appreciated.

My husband was admitted here for emergency respite care after I was unexpectedly in hospital. He has dementia. I was extremely pleased with his care, lovely room with en-suite, nice conservatory dining room, outside decking with lovely garden, lots of entertainment, outings etc. He enjoyed the food
and we were always offered a cuppa at visits. Staff friendly and attentive.

York Lodge has given me confidence to leave my husband in their care.
The staff are caring and are always there if I have any concerns.
They are friendly and chatty towards my husband and make him feel safe and cared for.
Although he doesn't participate in the use of the lounge area, or any other
options to keep him involved in the day to day life at York Lodge, the options are there.
Thank you all staff!

The great kindness and care shown to my mother has surpassed my expectations. Mum’s sadly unexpected, rapid decline has not diminished, only increased the care and support both she and I have received at a very difficult and emotional time. The wonderful “family atmosphere “ has contributed to all aspects
of mum’s care, and I couldn’t wish for more. Thank you all.

I was invited to a barbecue at Millcroft by three residents who I visit regularly. It was a brilliant afternoon in every way, a magician entertaining, attentive staff and happy residents. The food which was prepared was fabulous something for everyone and plenty of variety. Nothing was too much trouble
for the staff. It was like one big happy family.
I have visited Millcroft a number pf occasions over the past year and it is one of the loveliest and friendliest homes I have been to.
Well done everyone.

From the first day mum moved into Millcroft Care Home she has been fully supported with kindness and care. This has also extended to the wider family. There is a welcoming family atmosphere which is a credit to all the staff working there. I have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

I can't say enough about the caring staff at Millcroft and, in particular, the care home manager. The support provided during the difficult time of my Dad's passing was Phenomenal. The care home is very well run, it has the feeling of a home where everyone is welcomed + lo loved. All the residents are
happy and well-cared for. I thank all the staff from the bottom of my heart, from the manager to the caregivers to the cleaners & tea/coffee deliverers

I feel very lucky that my mum is being cared for at Millcroft. The staff are kind and caring and are careful to give the residents dignity. I am kept well informed if my mother is unwell or distressed. Staff always go the 'extra mile' to ensure residents are cared for, listened too and are as happy
as they can be. I would have no hesitation in recommending Millcroft to any person requiring care.

Our mother has been a resident now for nearly a year and whilst it was a very hard decision to move Mum from her home into care we knew that for her safety and our peace of mind it was the right thing to do. The manager and her team are always friendly and more than happy to talk to us at any time if
we have any concerns. In the early days when it was difficult for us to accept Mum's decline they were so reassuring to us and helped Mum to settle into her 'new home' and for us to adjust to this new way of life for Mum. Mum is very happy and has made lots of new friends even to the point that she prefers to chat to them when we visit her. In a lovely way Mum has a new family and a new home at York Lodge. We as a family cannot praise the team at York Lodge highly enough for their dedicated care to our mum and for the fun and array of entertainment including Summer and Christmas parties which we as a family are invited to take part in. Sincere thanks to all the team at York Lodge.

My Nan has been a resident here for over a year now and she is very happy and content here. She has a very large room on the top floor overlooking the very pretty rear garden. The manager is always friendly and willing to answer any questions we have to ask and is always very approachable at any time.
The staff are very friendly and ask us if we would like a tea or coffee when we arrive as nothing is ever any hassle. Never had any problems. We as a family are very happy and content with how my nan is being cared for here at York Lodge.

My Dad has been a resident since early 2022 and has been incredibly well looked after from the start. The staff are all very friendly, accommodating and clearly know the different needs of each resident and their families in detail. They have been proactive in arranging everything Dad needs without
even having to be asked like; COVID vaccine injections and boosters, eye tests, medication changes with the GP, haircuts, chiropody etc. etc. From the beginning, it was clear they all have a great deal of specialism in dealing with dementia patients, which for me makes it much easier as someone who for the first time is dealing with a relative diagnosed with dementia.

My father is not the easiest of people to care for but I have utmost faith in the staff and management of York Lodge to ensure that his health and wellbeing are being taken care of to a very high standard. There is always a friendly welcome and a family atmosphere. I have not been able to visit for
a while because of my ill health but I know if there are any problems I will be informed immediately... giving me peace of mind. Thank you York Lodge!

We moved my father to York Lodge in the summer of 2024 and it was the best decision we made. The staff are all so lovely and the home has such a wonderful family feel. Dad took a few weeks to settle but everyone was so patient and understanding and kept me up to date regularly. Dad's move all happened
very quickly and I was apprehensive but we couldn't be happier with York Lodge.

On arrival, there is always a welcoming smile and greeting from the staff. I am always informed as to where my friend can be found. There is always a cup of tea and biscuits on offer. If I am visiting at meal times there is always an offer to join my friend at the table and have been offered soup and
sandwiches, which is very much appreciated. I have offered to pay for them but it has been declined. My friend and other residents always appear clean, dressed nicely and happy. The home is always clean with no apparent odours and there is always someone around if you need help or advice.
