My mum has lived here for about 4 years now. What I particularly like is that there are a good core of carers who have been here since she came. They are friendly and kind to mum and others. The home is always presented well, the food exceptional. Entertainment is great, always some one coming in be it singers, petting zoo, keep fit or arts & crafts. Constant stimulation for all. The staff go out of their way to celebrate big occasions, such as Christmas etc. getting all the residents presents, making it lovely for them. I wouldnt want mum anywhere else.

Avon House always have lots of activities whether it's singers, chair fitness ,dancing, musicians or arts and crafts they always have something for mum to do .. if she wants to . The food is excellent and a great variation and choices . I couldn't have picked a better home for my mum, I highly recommend

This is an amazing care home. Lovely staff. Great activities. Food excellent. So welcoming. Always offered a drink. Would definitely recommend. Residents are so warmly cared for. Every need is attended to.

My grandma has been here since 2021 and I think she's well cared for by the staff and lives the activities that take place especially Remembrance Day as she loves all the poppies. She's known by all of the staff as the resident poppy queen.

I honestly cannot praise Avon House and all of the staff enough. From the moment my dad came to the home, the care and compassion they have shown him has been absolutely amazing.

The staff are incredibly patient and caring, and it's clear that they genuinely care about the residents rather than simply doing a job. They treat my dad with dignity, respect and kindness, and it gives my brother and I such peace of mind knowing that he is being looked after by people who truly care.

The communication has also been excellent, and whenever I have questions or concerns, the staff have always been approachable and supportive. They have gone above and beyond on many occasions, and we are so grateful for everything they do.

Choosing a care home for a parent is one of the hardest things a family can go through, but knowing my dad is somewhere he is safe, cared for and treated with genuine compassion means the world to us.

My uncle was moved to Avon House a year ago and he is very happy there. He was struggling to live on his own in the community and was very weak and frail. Since being at Avon House he looks fit and well and is thriving. The staff are wonderful. I would highly recommend this care home.

I visit my friend Janet on a regular basis and Im always impressed by the level of care & attention the staff show. my friend has flourished in the time spent there, residents are stimulated + staff seem to know each resident well ie. favourite songs, past hobbies. All events are celebrated, birthdays, calendar occasions ie. pancake day, Easter, VE day to name just a few. The rooms are always spotless and all staff are friendly and approachable. Overall I'm very impressed & happy that Janet is being taken care of.

Amazing care home , my sister has now been there a year , best care home by far . The staff make you feel so at home when you visit . The activities they do are second to none , The volume of staff is fantastic . The staff are so friendly , you would never know when they are having a bad day , they are all exceptional, the residents are all made to feel very special .

A welcoming and well run care home with a calm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are patient, kind and understanding, and provide good support and care for residents living with dementia. It is reassuring to know that our loved one is treated with dignity and respect and is well looked after. We appreciate the care and support provided to both our loved one and our family.

The staff look after the ladies and gentlemen in their care with good humour and lots of patience. The care home is always doing lots of activities to keep everyone involved.

Amazing care given to our auntie. She has high needs and was welcomed by all. The kind staff even went above and beyond to decorate her room ready for her arrival. She has had so much fun during her respite is already planning her next stay.

Avon manor has taken superb care of my partner's aunt, the home has provided respite support and wonderful personalised care, the team are incredibly professional and couldn't do more to make her feel truly at home.

This is the best place I could wish my mum to be. All the staff are so amazing and caring. Barbie who arranged events is very special. The residents have a better social life than me. My mum has been here for 5 years and there are no bad points to say about Avon Manor. If I am ever poorly I hope to end up here. 5 Staff is not nearly enough.

There is always a lot of activities for residents to get involved in and I'm happy in the knowledge that my mum is very well looked after.

This is such a friendly, happy care home that I would thoroughly recommend to anyone and am so happy that this home was chosen for my dad. He loves the chicks too!
