I was always kept informed of any changes in his behaviour or health, particularly in the final stages of his condition.
His end of life care was second to none. He was comfortable and a senior carer was with him at the end.

All the staff were very respectful in the way they treated him but also managed to have a laugh with him along the way which made a real difference.
There were some who went above and beyond and I will always be grateful to them.
There were plenty of activities organised and, although they didn't tend to join in, I'm hopeful that he enjoyed watching. He was also taken out, sometimes to the pub, and I can see from photos that it was a popular outing.
Although the home could do with an update, it's always very clean and the food good and well presented.

The staffing levels are noticeably significant ensuring that there is always a carer on hand, to help and encourage the residents. Kindness is the key ingredient and this is delivered 24/7. Residents are often found out and about on outings that suit their own special needs and are not confined to the home environment. I always get the feeling I have been somewhere special when I visit never leaving anxious and steadfast that the decision was made for the very best reasons and in the interest of my dear Mother in Law who continues to thrive and get the most out of her experience.
