Avon Manor is an excellent care home in every way. The way the staff love and care for the residents is outstanding, always going above and beyond. The activities are amazing with a great variety to keep the residents busy. My aunt is always amazingly looked after when she is on respite here, always
has a great time and always eager to return. It's also reassuring to see everything the residents are getting up to on social media too.

We couldn't have found a more friendlier home for mum, Avon House is a place you would want for any member of your family. The staff go above and beyond their duties, nothing is too much trouble, they're so helpful. Very attentive to mum's every need. Would highly recommend this home to anyone, the

My dearest friend was placed in Avon House in early November 2025, as he has dementia. From a wonderful, warm welcome from the start, this home is wonderful, warm and friendly, with very caring staff.
So clean and nicely decorated, great food and nothing too much trouble, even for visitors!

Avon Manor truly cares for the well being of their residents, going above and beyond to ensure that their residents are comfortable and happy. They have given Mum budgies in her room, as Mum had birds growing up. Mum has had to spend a long time in her bed recently and they have provided great joy
and comfort to her. Although Mum had been in her room the staff ensure that Mum is included in any activities or visits. One recent visit saw Mum singing along to a clarinet player. The love, care and attention Mum has received here is exemplary.

I cannot praise Avon House highly enough for their ability to make residents and family members feel safe, comfortable and part of a family.
The building is cosy and decorated with familiar, age appropriate pictures to promote memories and conversations.
The care is resident centred and kind, with
individual needs and interests at the forefront.
My husband was gently encouraged to engage in activities, but allowed to pursue his own interests without being pressured.
I was always kept informed of any changes in his behaviour or health, particularly in the final stages of his condition.
His end of life care was second to none. He was comfortable and a senior carer was with him at the end.
I will always be grateful to the staff at Avon House for their kindness and support to my husband and to me.

Since my mum has been in Avon House, she has drastically improved. The staff and management are absolutely amazing, it is like a home from home, and my mum, who has dementia, is so happy, it is heartwarming to see her like this and it is total peace of mind for me knowing she is receiving this top level
of care.

At a time of utter chaos and bleakness, my wife went into Avon Manor. She has now been there for 5 years. I am unable to adequately put into words my feelings about the home, as I do not have any criticisms of the way she has been treated and looked after. It is the complete package in every way with
superb care and mental stimulation, and it leaves me knowing that she is in the best possible place. Thank you all at Avon Manor for what you do and achieve.

My Mother has been in Avon House as a resident for about 16 months. We were very impressed from the outset when we met the Team. We are really glad that Mum is staying at Avon House. Everyone has been exceptionally supportive and professional. The Teams knowledge surrounding Dementia is excellent with
the handling of different situations always being dealt with compassion and understanding. A great Team, well managed and a pleasure to see them regularly.

Putting my husband in care was the most difficult choice I've ever had to make but choosing Avon House was totally the right decision.
The care coordinator was really professional in explaining things on my initial visit but very reassuring that I was doing the right thing for both of us. When the
care manager made the home visit she new exactly how to talk to my husband and soon had him agreeing to
"give it a go".
All the staff were very respectful in the way they treated him but also managed to have a laugh with him along the way which made a real difference.
There were some who went above and beyond and I will always be grateful to them.
There were plenty of activities organised and, although they didn't tend to join in, I'm hopeful that he enjoyed watching. He was also taken out, sometimes to the pub, and I can see from photos that it was a popular outing.
Although the home could do with an update, it's always very clean and the food good and well presented.
Keep up the good work. You're all doing great.

This is a wonderful care home. The home is very clean and well presented. The staff are very kind, helpful and great with my Mum. My Mum is well settled here, well cared for and there is very good entertainment provided by entertainers who come to the home. The staff also provide a lot of activities
for the residents too. They do their best to make every resident feel at home.

We are so pleased with the level of care, compassion and support given to our Mum. She arrived at Avon Manor in December 2024 and has settled into her new home so well. Avon Manor is a wonderful place should you be trying to make the oh so difficult decision to move a loved one into care. 'The Manor' is a real Family, providing love , laughter and entertainment every day. It is such a stimulating environment and I am convinced helps keep all the residents on an even
plane, ensuring they retain both dignity and a precious piece what makes them the person you know and love. The staffing levels are noticeably significant ensuring that there is always a carer on hand, to help and encourage the residents. Kindness is the key ingredient and this is delivered 24/7. Residents are often found out and about on outings that suit their own special needs and are not confined to the home environment. I always get the feeling I have been somewhere special when I visit never leaving anxious and steadfast that the decision was made for the very best reasons and in the interest of my dear Mother in Law who continues to thrive and get the most out of her experience.
