My husband moved into Blatchington Manor in August 2025. The staff at Blatchington Manor are all very friendly and welcoming and do their very best to care for the residents. I feel my husband is safe and well cared for and am always kept informed about any issues. I'm very happy with my choice of care

Although I have not been able to personally visit Blatchington Manor, I understand from my sister, family and friends who have, that the facilities and care at BM are of a very high standard. My sister really likes her spacious room with its large window that looks out on to the beautiful gardens. She
feels at home, appreciating the kindliness of all the staff.
As I live a long way from BM I have been particularly impressed by the caring of my sister; BM staff taking her to several recent hospital appointments and keeping me fully informed regarding her treatment.
My sister also enjoys the monthly in-house activities programme in which she often likes to take part.

Reception ladies are always friendly and welcoming. The carers who look after Mum are amazing. They are so kind and patient. The way the building is designed is perfect for dementia residents. Sometimes, I can spend ages just walking round and round with Mum, and she is happy and safe. My only comment
would be to advise families about facilities such as kitchen/tea-making area, as I found out by mistake after 2 years! No one had told me!

My mother arrived at Blatchington Manor in October for respite care. Her spacious room with garden outlook made her feel at home. The friendly staff manage the fine balance between encouraging independence while being there to help when needed. She has stayed beyond the respite care because she is happy,
enjoys her food and has help with any health challenges as they arise. Joining in the many activities makes her smile. Having company at meals and in the lounge means that she is not lonely. There was a lovely photo of a her smiling while a visiting singer, sung to her.
I live abroad and have the reassurance that someone will chat with her if she's sad. I can phone her and check on the log to see what she's doing each day. The staff will contact me to share updates and help in anyway they can. Family and friends are welcome to visit and take her out
I have been so impressed with the friendly care my mother has received and the reassurance that I receive from all the staff.

My mother moved to this home last year. I have been very impressed by all aspects of her care. The staff are very responsive to changes in her health. They are trained to take observations and raise concerns early to the GP or emergency services. They have a good relationship with the local GP surgery
and review residents weekly if needed.
They have an app where you can see how your loved one is, photos are uploaded and you can see what they've had to eat and drink.
I am a nurse and have been very impressed by the care my Mum has received.
There are many choices of food. Mum is a fussy eaten at times and she has eater very well.
The care staff are very kind and their standards are very high. They show love and understanding to their residents. Even in challenging situations I have never seen anyone lose their patience or be unkind. Their residents are treated like family members.
There is an excellent entertainment programme with visiting performers and daily craft and activities.

The care at Abundant Grace is extremely kind and consistent. The nurses and care assistants go out of their way to ensure each resident feels listened to, is safe and receives personally-tailored care.
The atmosphere is always calm and welcoming, and my uncle has developed a trusting rapport with
all the staff. As a family, we feel confident that he is in the right place, not just from a practical point of view but from an emotional one. Care here is caring. Thank you.

This is a lovely home set in well cared for grounds. The staff are always welcoming and the residents are well cared for. We feel lucky to have found such a nice home when my mother needed care that we were unable to provide for her in her own home.

From the initial meeting at the home my dad was made to feel very welcome and very safe. Every single member of staff is kind and caring. I knew he was in the best place possible for his respite and the patience and care given was amazing. The home itself is beautifully maintained and looks more like
a beautiful hotel. I can't thank them enough for the kindness shown to my dad, myself and my family.

We were devastated to come to the realisation that our mum couldn't continue to live at home due to advancing dementia. We were recommended Blatchington Manor by a friend whose mum was also there, and from the first difficult and tearful visit the staff have been amazing. Better than many hotels I have
stayed in we couldn't be more pleased with the care, cleanliness, attitude and running of the home. Mum has settled well and enjoys living there - not just because the food is great but also as there is plenty going on, regular activities and friendly staff. The staff deserve high praise - they are professional, fun, kind and attentive and bend over backwards to accommodate mums needs . Mums room is really clean and spacious and they have been supportive of personalisation and additions. Having looked at many other places I really think this is one of the best. We are so relieved to know she is in good hands.

As a 23-year-old who requires care and sometimes having to go to respite, I am always nervous about going somewhere new. I had a two-week respite stay at Abundant Grace, and as soon as I met the staff, my anxiety went away. Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. The staff helped me settle in and unpack.
My medication, which is quite important for managing my conditions, was always given on time by the lovely nurses. I can't praise the carers and nurses enough. During the night, there is always carers on hand when I require assistance. My only slight issue was always feeling during the day like a little bit of a pain when asking for things as the staff were always so busy, but I was never made to feel like this, just a personal feeling. The home is very clean and tidy, the housekeeping staff are attentive to cleaning the bedrooms and communal areas every day of the week. It would have been nice for the manager to pop by and say hello and introduce himself, but this is not a massive issue.

My mother became a resident at Blatchington Manor about a year ago.
I believe she was happy during her time there. She certainly enjoyed the music and the singing.
My experience of staff from every part of the organisation has been extremely positive. They always have a welcoming smile, a supportive
demeanour and a kind word.
The care of my mother during the last two weeks of her life was exemplary. There was huge attention
to detail, excellent communication with myself and the family and a sense that 'nothing was too much trouble'.
It is a great comfort to me to know that my mother was so beautifully looked after at the end of her life.
As a retired nurse I fully appreciate the skilled nature of the work that you do. Not only the practical element of the work, but also the empathy demonstrated by all the staff. The ability to consistently demonstrate such an empathetic attitude is a credit to all those individuals - but also the organisation within which they work.

My mum went into Blatchington Manor Care Home just over 6 months ago. We really didn't want my mum to go into a home but she needed, by then, 24 hour care which we were unable to give her. The staff have been amazing, nothing is too much to look after my mum. Whenever I leave mum, I know she will be
really well looked after and they treat her with the respect and dignity she deserves. The food is lovely, with a varied menu each day, which my mum loves, and now eats foods she would not eat before. The building is always clean and the facilities and activities that my mum does each day are amazing. Every staff member treats my mum like their own mum and also know every resident by their first name and nothing is too much. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Blatchington Manor Care Home for being an amazing support to my mum, myself and my family.

My father went into Blatchington Manor from hospital for 2 months whilst we moved house to enable him to return home again.
We cannot fault the care he received there. Every member of staff was pleasant and helpful. His room was beautiful with a view over the garden. The whole place is kept immaculately
clean. The food was very good.
We viewed several other homes before Blatchington Manor and hated them, we worried we wouldn't find anything suitable but Blatchington Manor restored our faith. We will have no hesitation in arranging respite care there for my father whenever necessary, we know he'll be happy there and we'll be confident in the care he'll receive.
A beautiful home with an excellent team of people.

I visit my mother once a week and take her out to lunch. She is always prepared and dressed, ready to go. On arrival, I am greeted by staff and management, who are polite and courteous and are all well informed about my mother and her needs. This is Mum's second care home, and the difference in the
care, treatment and activities is palpable. It is an hour's travel for me, but it's worth it for Mum's care and happiness.
