Blatchington Manor Care Home

Our mum has now been at Blatchington Manor for about 7 months and she is really thriving there. All the staff are warm and kind and look after her every need. She loves the home cooked meals and cake and has even made friends with the gardener! We couldnt have hoped for a better transition into a care home - theres always activities on and staff to chat to and i can tell that mum feels really loved and respected at Blatchington Manor. The building itself is bright and airy and it has really good air conditioning that was a godsend this summer! Its also very clean and always smells fresh. I would highly recommend this care home, i cant actually fault it, all the staff are so lovely and make us as visitors feel welcome too.

Wonderful calm atmosphere, my mum is very happy and well looked after by the staff. Plenty of activities and good level of care. Very friendly, kind staff. The number of residents in the home is perfect for care to resident ratio.

Blatchington is perfect for our Mum as she is still very sociable despite having mixed dementia. The activities keep her busy every day, whereas other homes we looked at only had sporadic activities. Whenever I visit it is always clean and welcoming (visitors are allowed at any time). The staff really do care here and the home and gardens are beautiful. Mum settled in surprisingly quickly and I think it's because she is well looked after in every sense. The food is good too, as is the 24/7 app so we can read what she is up to every minute of the day and night. I'm so glad we chose Blatchington, Mum couldn't be in a better place.

Nothing is too much for the staff, from walking into the reception area to going to the allocated rooms for my parents. Will definitely be using again.

Mum always wanted to receive full time care after staying at Blatchington Manor on a respite basis during family holidays. Although it was not appropriate for her to move in initially, as her condition progressed and it became unsafe for her to live independently this was the only place she wanted to live. Now that she has been resident for close to a year she is happily settled and looks very well, especially as she has nothing to worry about whatsoever. A couple of minor health concerns have been picked up by staff and resolved through her GP. Seems much easier for her to see the GP than I have experienced.

I had to arrange urgent respite stay for my mum when dad neded a break. Georgie quickly arranged to visit mum.and dad at homeand done an assessment so we could start respite as soon as possible. Mum spent nearly 4 weeks at Blatchingron Manor where she was quickly welcomed and all the staff were so friendly knew her name and were all kind. Mums mobility was our biggest struggle at home but with encouragement within a week i was amazed at the distance mum.could walk within the home. The activity program is non stop and the best in Seaford I've seen, Mum seemed happy and not stressed during her stay. A Big thankyou to Sammi who made mum's time fun and gave us reassurance that we knew mum.was in safe hands.

Everything we have experienced so far is top end. Dad has settled in well. The place is light, airy and the residents seem to be having as good a time as they can. Good value for money too. I would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere for a loved one.

An amazing place with amazing people working there. Lovely, bright and very clean blatchington manor has a very warm friendly and inviting feel to the place as soon as you step inside and has lots of amazing areas for their residents. bedrooms are lovely spacious and high end furnished and very clean as are the residents en suite bathrooms Gardens are very well maintained with some lovely touches like the old telephone booth. The lots of different activities daily are great and the throughout the day updates keep us well informed. My mum has been a resident about a month and I cannot thank everyone enough for the kindness and patience they have shown to my mum. I am so grateful and relieved that my mum is in such a great place with wonderful people looking after her.

I chose Blatchington Manor for my family member because the staff are so kind, efficient and supportive. The vegetarian food is top quality and the gardens are very therapeutic, plus the building is light, cheerfully furnished and very spacious. The cleaning is top quality and the entertainment and activities provided very prolific! Thank you, Blatchington Manor. You are wonderful!

My mum has been at Blatchington for 4 years and the level of care shown has been exceptional. She is treated with dignity and kindness at all times, and I am confident that she is safe and well looked after. All staff are friendly and approachable and do an amazing job - nothing is too much trouble. Visiting is always a joy. The care home is responsive as regards any questions and requests and keeps me up to date with how she is doing. It is an absolute weight off my mind to know that she is happy and peaceful and I cannot recommend Blatchington highly enough.

My husband moved into Blatchington Manor in August 2025. The staff at Blatchington Manor are all very friendly and welcoming and do their very best to care for the residents. I feel my husband is safe and well cared for and am always kept informed about any issues. I'm very happy with my choice of care home for my husband.

Would highly recommend whether it be for respite or permanent living.

Although I have not been able to personally visit Blatchington Manor, I understand from my sister, family and friends who have, that the facilities and care at BM are of a very high standard. My sister really likes her spacious room with its large window that looks out on to the beautiful gardens. She feels at home, appreciating the kindliness of all the staff.

As I live a long way from BM I have been particularly impressed by the caring of my sister; BM staff taking her to several recent hospital appointments and keeping me fully informed regarding her treatment.

My sister also enjoys the monthly in-house activities programme in which she often likes to take part.

I have been so impressed with the friendly care my mother has received and the reassurance that I receive from all the staff.

There is an excellent entertainment programme with visiting performers and daily craft and activities.

Overall I was very satisfied with the care given to my wife during her 2 weeks respite.

From the initial meeting at the home my dad was made to feel very welcome and very safe. Every single member of staff is kind and caring. I knew he was in the best place possible for his respite and the patience and care given was amazing. The home itself is beautifully maintained and looks more like a beautiful hotel. I can't thank them enough for the kindness shown to my dad, myself and my family.
