Dad initially came to Sheridan House for respite after a hospital stay. He was so well cared for that he decided of his own accord that he would like to stay. He has a lovely en-suite room with beautiful views over the garden & the sea. The staff are all so friendly & caring and I have complete confidence
in the care he receives. We are always made welcome when we visit and it is such a relief for us to know Dad is receiving the best level of care.

As a resident of Sheridan House for the past 4 years. I am pleased to give this review, beacuse in my opinion Sheridan House excels in it's care and management.
Everyone is competent, and most of all the care given is tailored to the individual, which in my opinion means a lot.
I would recommend Sherian
House if you are searching for a place - definitely.

I made my customary visit to see my mother. As usual, it was a very pleasant experience. Staff genuinely care about residents and the home is blessed by a low staff turnover. Surroundings are beautiful to view from inside and outside. My mother is very settled and I know she is in good hands. I
would be happy to spend my last few years at Hillside.

My sister and I visited some seven or eight care homes when my wife had to move into a care home. One matched Hillside and one, in an old and smelly building, was so bad I would not have liked to eat a meal there. Hillside is set in several acres, cares also for animals - horses, alpacas, 2 goats and
chickens. Has fantastic views. With just 14 rooms, it's like living with a large family. Various activities are arranged, and weather permitting, outside trips can be taken. All in all, a very pleasant place to live.

My Dad has been in Hillside care home for a year now. We could not be more happy with his care. The staff take the ethos from the owner who is very empathetic, has huge experience with the elderly and was a qualified nurse.
There is a range of activities every morning and afternoon. A chef is on-site
and the food is lovely.
There are only fourteen residents and the rooms are large and en suite with beautiful views over the countryside.
My Dad is settled, content and very well looked after.

Sadly mum passed in January, but the care she received during her last week or so was exemplary. As was indeed the care over her entire 3 years there.
Mum lost the ability to get out of a chair some 6 months previously but the team rose to the challenge admirably despite her needs being beyond those
of a standard residential home.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the family is most grateful to them all and the manager Kat was super efficient but also very human too.

I have spent a month here recuperating after a hip operation. Everyone has been very kind and helpful. I love being in the garden with the views of the sea. An ideal place to recover. The rooms are a good size, and it is good to have a telephone in the room.
I would recommend Sheridan to anyone.

I have told my children that, when I need it, I want to go somewhere as good as Hillside House. We were so fortunate to find such incredible care, warmth and safety for my dad in beautiful location and surroundings. What a view! The staff - and the food - are excellent. He is happy on his own looking
at the hills and the animals but there are activities to keep him engaged too. It was a tricky transition coming from living on his own where we were finding it hard to meet his increasing needs. At Hillside he is enjoying a new norm of being clean, having beautifully laundered clothes, being more sociable, taking medication regularly, eating proper meals, etc. It is such a relief we can focus on being with him, rather than cooking and cleaning. I won't be afraid of needing care in the future if there are places as good as Hillside.

A wonderfull caring home with lovely staff. My father, 97 was looked after with love and care during his last few weeks, and they were there for him right to the end.
Sheridan House is a light, modern, clean home with a wonderful garden and views out to sea.
The Brandon House Group was recommended
to us by a friend who is a retired GP after they had looked after her mother.

Mum moved to Sheridan in Feb 2024 and she flourished in the dedicated, caring, and supportive environment provided by the outstanding and conscientious team there. From the moment of our first contact with the staff, we were impressed by their friendly yet professional efficiency and the way they wanted
to make everything perfect for Mum. Sadly Mum passed away in October and the care they gave to her in her last months was exemplary. She was treated with utmost dignity by all the staff throughout her time there. As visitors, we were always made welcome and we were most grateful for the extent of support we were given as relatives.

Dad moved to Sheridan House in early 2024 from another care home. Immediately it was obvious that the staff truly care and are well organised. The home has an app which enables me to know how he is each day. Dad has formed positive relationships with the staff and other residents. He really enjoys the
keep fit and regular massages. Dad chooses to manage his own medication and the home has supported this independence. Dad and I would wholeheartedly recommend Sheridan House.

From the moment of first contact, I was so impressed with the friendly efficiency of the management who emphasized that this was my home. To the present day, I have received excellent care but I am also given as much privacy as possible. I feel my choices are important. Staff are well trained and efficient
although communication can sometimes be a problem. I feel safe at valued at the home.

We cannot rate Hillside and its staff highly enough. Mum had wonderful care and although mostly in her room, she was comfortable and able to access help whenever she needed it. Her room was light and spotless with a lovely view across the valley from her window. The food was excellent and the carers
looking after her were so kind. Everyone did everything they could for her until her passing.

I gave an excellent rating because I am happy here - other residents and staff are interesting people. A family atmosphere.
"Good" rather than "excellent" for food and drink because it is a bit predictable for each day. But new ideas are being tried. I like new foods - try anything once!

"good" because more speakers coming in and more discussion sessions would be great.

My mother has been a resident of Sheridan House for 1 1/2 years. During this time my wife and I have always been impressed with the level of care she has received. The team are very caring and resolve any needs quickly and efficiently. They are also cheerful, friendly and ready for a chat, encouraging
residents to participate in the many activities they organise. Her sea view is the icing on the cake!
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sheridan to anyone needing a care home facility and are very happy with our decision to choose Sheridan versus the other local care homes we researched.
