My mother, aged 94, has been a resident since Oct 2023. The care she has received is excellent. All staff(nurses and their assistants, carers, housekeeping, catering, activities, administration, and management) are kind and compassionate and make sure Mum is safe and well. She has a lovely room with
a view that overlooks the fields down to the sea. There are many activities available to residents, and Mum really enjoys the weekly seated exercise session that includes games and memory exercises. The food is excellent, but on the odd occasion, if nothing on the menu takes her fancy, she has the option to request something she chooses herself. The management is very approachable and addresses any issues appropriately that may arise. I have no hesitation in recommending Ashridge Court Care Centre.

Absolutely amazing! Nothing was ever too much. I especially loved the fact that near the end was obvious my dad could not get out of bed, but even when he asked to sit in the chair, he wasn't fobbed off. He was treated with respect as they would bring the 'alds' in probably knowing full well it wasn't
going to happen. I will always be grateful for the dignity and respect my dad was given.

Reply from Rani Raju, Manager at Inglewood Nursing Home

I am relieved that my sister is being so well cared for in her final weeks. She is treated kindly and with respect for her dignity. I am always made to feel welcome by the friendly staff, and I am contacted if there are concerns. As I live at a distance, it is very useful for me to access the App, which
gives constant communication about my sister's condition, her nutrition and detailed nursing care.

Reply from Rani Raju, Manager at Inglewood Nursing Home

Dear Jane,Thank you so much for your kind words. We're truly glad to hear that you feel supported and reassured during this time. It means a lot to us to know that your sister is comfortable and that the care team is meeting your expectations. We're always here for you and your family.Kind regards

Ashridge Court Care Centre

from Caren A (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 May 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum has been at Ashridge Court since February 2023, after we had cause to move her from another care home in the area.
The positive change in her was amazing. She quickly flourished (from being nervous, not talking and wanting to sleep all day) to being confident, chatty and sleeping all night! The
staff, from the lovely Manager, all the way down to the most junior, are wonderful. Always professional and, so importantly, kind and caring. Mum used to be a carer and sometimes she likes to 'help out'. The staff encourage this and allow her to do small tasks, thereby making her feel worthwhile and part of a team again.
Mum also loves the manicures that the staff do. They have a very nice range of nail colours! Ashridge has as much of a 'home from home' feel as it is possible to have and the residents and staff are very much 'one big family'!.

Reply from Juliet Wills, Home Manager at Ashridge Court Care Centre

Thank you so much for your lovely words and we are so pleased that your Mum has settled with us so well. We have an amazing team who work hard to provide the best care and support and we are pleased that your Mum enjoys being part of our team.

My mum has only been at Inglewood a short while but has settled in well. This is down to the kind and caring staff who are truly amazing. They have great empathy and always listen if you have any concerns. They show great kindness towards the residents and genuinely care. The setting is lovely with
beautiful gardens, and the home is kept well and is clean.

Ashridge Court Care Centre

from L W (Son of Resident) published on 23 May 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5

Generally the care home is good, but the ongoing issue of buzzer response time continues, causing distress when needing the toilet often attending when it is too late. The use of agency staff, especially at the weekends is probably the cause as they don't know the residents and their needs that well
and the personal touch is missing. Low staffing means my mother can not be bathed, although she is showered once a week. The carers don't seem to telling the nursing staff of any sores, rashes, pain and feet problems she has.
This seems like a big moan, but generally the carehome is nice and clean, entertainment is good, as is the food, and the full time staff are great.

Reply from Pam McFall, Deputy Manager at Ashridge Court Care Centre

Thank you for your review and your kind comments about the home. However, we are sorry to hear that you are concerned about some aspects of your mother's care. We appreciate honest feedback from our families, and work tirelessly to ensure that our residents' care and wellbeing are the best that they can be. You and I spoke at length earlier this week and, due to the rapid changes in your mother's physical and cognitive health, we will be making the changes that we discussed, and ensure that these are reflected in her care plan. We would like to assure you, too, that her personal care is undertaken daily. We will also put in additional training for staff on how they deal with call bells and undertake handovers. In the meantime, if you have any other queries or concerns, please feel free to come and talk to myself or our home manager.

My mum spent the last six months of her life at Inglewood Nursing Home, after experiences in two other local care homes. The staff across all areas were consistently empathetic, patient, and hardworking. A special mention goes to the activities and housekeeping teams, who maintained a genuine human
connection with my mother - something so important for her mental well-being.

The facilities were always clean and welcoming, and the food was both nutritious and tasty, far better than we had seen elsewhere. We also felt well informed about mum's care plan, with clear communication and a detailed diary tracking her health, which gave us great reassurance. It gave us great comfort to know that mum's final months were spent in a place where she was as happy as her health allowed, and where she was so well cared for. We are very grateful to the whole team.

My husband was transferred from the hospital to Inglewood for palliative end-of-life care and was always treated with the utmost dignity at this stage of his life. From the moment I stepped into the reception, I knew he was in the right place. The management and staff were totally committed to making
sure that he received the best possible treatment despite his frailty. I was able to connect to his personal care records, which I found comforting in the knowledge that he was being so well looked after. I cannot thank you enough.

Both receptionists are very welcoming and respectful. All the staff were very caring, friendly and happy to take the time to listen and be supportive. My father was treated with care and consideration. He was treated as a person, not just a room number. I was contacted regularly if there were any concerns

My family and I cannot thank you enough for the impeccable nursing care offered to my aunt following transfer to Inglewood from hospital over the final 2 weeks of her long life. As a (retired) doctor myself, I am so impressed - absolutely first class, from our first exploratory visit in a state of some
distress with the burden of arranging swift transfer from an acute hospital, through to the transfer itself and subsequent beautiful end of life care for my aunt as well as sympathetic and kind interactions with any visiting family. My aunt's comfort and care was clearly paramount for every staff member. I was particularly grateful be able to remotely access her electronic nursing records which were updated at least 3 times per day and offered regular assurance of her ongoing good quality care, including reports of GP visits - and there were also phone calls to alert me to significant changes so that I could keep her (similarly elderly) sisters updated as necessary. Thank you so much.

When we realised that dad needed to move into a Nursing Home, we felt like rabbits caught in the headlights and it was a very scary time. There were big decisions for us to make, this was all new to us and we found everything really daunting. If you are in that situation rest assured, Inglewood is a
very special nursing home and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your loved one stay there.

The day room is the heart of the home, the TV is amazing and the residents seem to be very happy there. Each day there are activities for the residents to enjoy and the team of experts looking after your loved one 24/7 are all really nice people and highly trained in their area of expertise. The kindness and patience we have seen them show to the residents is second to none.

We know that dad is safe and happy at Inglewood and we are most grateful to everyone for taking such good care of him. There are so many positive things to say but most importantly, we have peace of mind.

Reply from Rani Raju, Manager at Inglewood Nursing Home

It's our privilege to look after him and all our residents with kindness and patience.Your recommendation means the world to us. Please know we're always here for you and your dad. Kind regards.

Most of the regular staff are friendly and caring. However the staff seem stretched at times due to their workload and occasionally need prompting when aspects of personal care are missed. Outside entertainers are good but otherwise hit and miss.
