I fell and broke my hip at home and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where I was operated on and spent a week recovering. I chose to stay at The Grosvenor Hall Care Home for my rehabilitation. The care that I received here was excellent, and the staff were all very attentive, kind and empathetic.
Thank you all very much.

Being a frequent visitor has been a real eye opener as each visit has seen a patient in tears and so very unhappy with quality of care, sympathy and hygiene issues to name a few.
The buzzers for someone needing some help are going constantly and it often appears as if it's ignored without any idea
as to the problem. Physio is very hit and miss considering you are in for intensive physio and more days than not are even a no show.
Reply from Diane Dunn, Area Manager at Grosvenor Hall Care HomeThank you for your review of Grosvenor Hall. I am sorry that you feel that the service received did not reflect the care and support you expected. The staff at Grosvenor Hall do work hard and endeavour to ensure the stay for all residents is a positive experience. Whilst I am unable to discuss any individual concerns on this platform, I would like to invite you to speak with the Manager so that your concerns can be heard and addressed properly.

This is my second review as my mum just passed away after 16 weeks of Care and nursing at Eastholme Nursing Home. Our family would strongly recommend Eastholme because of the wonderful Staff there. We were visiting every day at completely varied times and once overnight. Every single member of staff
that we encountered was friendly, compassionate, loving, attentive, caring and professional but with a human side and sense of humour. Mum was totally bedridden but they made sure she was happy, clean and fed. They would have a laugh with her and she soon relaxed and was happy there. Nothing was too much trouble and they were there for the family too. On every visit we were asked if we would like a drink by multiple members of staff and told to press the call button if we needed anything. They always showed respect, asked the residents permission and explained what they were going to do. If you are in need of Care for a loved one, Eastholme will look after them like family.
Reply from Toni Harris, Home Manager at Eastholme Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind words, it was our absolute pleasure to look after your mum and get to know you all as a family.

Having regularly visited my mother at Fairhaven over the last 3 years I am always struck how friendly and personal the service is. It is really home from home and everyone is treated as an individual with great respect and kindness. There seem to be constant efforts to brighten and enrich the days
for the residents and any little event warrants a celebration to be enjoyed by all. Many of the staff have been here since I first started visiting and it seems a happy atmosphere, important for staff and residents alike. I am so glad we chose Fairhaven for Mum, she couldn't be in a better or more caring place

Mum was a resident for almost 4 years and during this time received excellent care by all of the staff at Fair Haven. The staff are very kind, considerate and caring. During the last few weeks of her life, their kindness extended to all the family, making us feel welcome and equally cared for with their
empathy and compassion.
We were able to see how hard they all work to ensure the comfort, safety and dignity of residents and are grateful for how much they liked and looked after Mum.

My mum has lived at Fairhaven for several years. I visit regularly and my sister visits daily. My mum is happy and content and always praising the staff saying how wonderful they are and how well she is cared for. The food always looks appetising and the staff are always very welcoming, offering us
refreshments and homemade snacks when visiting. My mums room always feels warm and Cozy. She likes the warm Cozy environment. The manager is always available on site and is friendly, accommodating, and empathetic. I have built a posetive close relationship with Fairhaven staff and the manager. I feel my mums needs are well met. Well done Fairhaven.

Overall I'm very pleased with the care my mum is getting and feel at ease she is in safe hands. Whilst mum is recovering from a broken ankle she has been well looked after and mostly at ease in her room.

This was my first stay in a care home, while I was waiting for brain surgery to treat my condition. At the time, I was living with severe mobility problems, cognitive difficulties and incontinence. I was also frightened and overwhelmed. From the moment I arrived at Grosvenor Hall Care Home the team
made me feel genuinely welcome. Although my days were long and I was often confined to my bed, I never felt forgotten or alone. Staff came by regularly, not just to provide care, but to check on me, reassure me and offer comfort. Those small human moments meant more than they may realise. The team showed patience, kindness and dignity at all times even when my needs were complex and fluctuating. They treated me as a person not a condition. I am deeply grateful everyone at Grosvenor Hall for their compassion, professionalism and warmth during a very vulnerable time in my life. Their care made a difficult person far more bearable and I will always remember their kindness. Thank you.
Reply from Don Thomas, Manager at Grosvenor Hall Care HomeGood Morning , Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. We are truly honoured to have supported you during your time at Grosvenor Hall Care Home, and we wish you continued strength and good health for the future. Thankyou very much

I just wanted to thank the Eastholme team for their support throughout my grandmother's short time with them, and their continued support following her death. It bought me and my brother a great deal of comfort knowing she was being looked after by people who showed her nothing but dignity, compassion
and respect, right till the very end. The team ensured my grandmother was beautifully prepared to rest and have showed us nothing but compassion and support during this difficult time. The team are an absolute credit to the care sector and I cannot thank them enough.
Reply from Toni Harris, Home Manager at Eastholme Nursing HomeThank you so much for this feedback, we always aim to provide dignity, compassion and respect. We are always available to support those who need it and we wish yourself and your brother well for the future, you are both a credit to your grandmother.

I came into the Grosvenor Hall Care Home to top up a stay at another care home - all arranged by community health services.
Before all this, I had spent time in hospital following a couple of strokes.
The initial transitional care was arranged because I needed to be looked after, as well as being
ill, my husband, Mick, had to go into hospital for a bowel cancer operation, so neither of us was available to care for the other. Thankfully provided excellent care in every way. Thank you.

My Mum (94) moved into Sandbeck House last month. The staff made the transition really easy and have looked after her. Mums health and wellbeing is better than is has been for the last years. She is eating better, looking better and more calm and happy than before. The staff are attentive and eager
to look after the residents.
I highly recommend Sandbeck House and the staff there.
