Mum moved into Eastholme following a fall and massive bleed on the brain that left her very confused and unsteady on her feet. She has been very well looked after by all staff at the home. They really care for their residents, spend time with them and make sure they are happy and feel loved.
The activity
programme allows residents to get out and about as well as taking part in a range arts and crafts. Residents can also meet four legged friends who come to visit as well as taking part in the occasional singalong!
Food is also good and the chef will go round in the morning to see what residents would like for lunch and dinner, which is thoughtful.
The staff at Eastholme have also been a massive support to us as a family, navigating this new normal. They are genuinely kind and have been there for us when events have been challenging - even inviting me to have Christmas lunch with mum.
Would recommend without hesitation.

In the two and a half months that my mum has been resident at Eastholme I have been totally happy with the care she has been receiving. The staff are very considerate and friendly in their approach. My regular visits are always welcomed and I am informed of any changes by phone call in between visits
if necessary. I could definitely recommend this nursing home!

All the staff are friendly and caring, treating my wife with dignity and compassion. Accommodation is comfortable but not luxurious although the fabric could do with some local refurbishment in certain areas. Furniture is basic but functional. Visitors are welcomed.

My mum has improved massively since staying at Sandbeck House. She's made friends, taken part in activities and generally seems much happier. The carers and staff are all lovely and nothing is too much trouble. So helpful. She was falling a lot at home and wandering at night. None of this since she's
been here. It's a weight off my and the family's minds knowing she's being looked after so well.

We are so fortunate that our mum lives in this care home, and the staff are so kind. When we arrive to visit mum, it feels like we walk into a warm, loving and welcoming home. We are always kept up to date with any changes to mum's care. No matter how busy the staff are, the standard of care is always
outstanding.

Mum has severe dementia, unable to walk, talk coherently or carry out any tasks for herself. Living in fear and confusion and regularly having frightening hallucinations. No longer able to cope alone but feeling guilty about handing day to day support to strangers. We needed help.
Despite Mum being
very difficult to manage Eastholme Care Home offered to take her in, providing reassurance to both Mum and her family that she would receive the care, compassion and love that she deserves. Well ten months on and I can say that the Eastholme team are brilliant, they are part of our family now and we theirs, nothing is too much trouble and Mum is indeed receiving all the care, love and attention she needs. We are free to visit anytime and we are kept fully informed of any problems, changes or developments as they occur. The home is always very clean and tidy with no smells, Mum is treated with respect in a happy, calm environment. I can't thank them enough but I can highly recommend them!

I have had dealings with the care home for the last 3 years with 2 of my family members now in there. The staff are always lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My Dad said he would never go in a care home but when the time came he was happy to join his wife there. They take them out
into town for coffee and lunch and they do lots of activities and celebration days.
I am very happy with the care that is received and the meals always love lovely and Dad says they are nice and he always has plenty of choices.

My brother lives at Sandbeck House and like many people he wanted to remain in his own little home for the rest of his days. In truth though he was not coping and that little home had become a bit of a prison. My brother was no longer able to venture far and he did not have a network of friends or
family nearby. I think he knows that now he has a home where he is safe, warm and very well cared for.
Sandbeck staff are great, friendly, patient, positive and hard working. My brother has mental illness, dementia and lots of physical issues so he is not an easy person to deal with but Sandbeck finds a way through all that. They understand him and that although he does like companionship, he often just needs some quiet time in his room.
Thank you Sandbeck for all your care.

Dad have developed a great relationship with his carers, who I feel care for him greatly. His wellbeing is paramount to their day-to-day activities, and nothing is a bother for Dad when he asks for help. Dad is always clean, warm and safe which puts my mind at ease. His meals are well prepared, plentiful
with wholesome ingredients and if he misses a meal due to resting he is always provided with a meal on waking. The rooms are basic but once you add your loved one's possessions, they are homely. Activities are available for those who wish to participate these are weekly and at special events (Chrismtas, Easter). The library is well stocked. As a visitor I am always made to feel welcome and any concerns we have as a family are listened to. We are always made aware of any concerns/issues.
No one wants their loved one to become a care home resident but here at St Clare's Dad is part of a new loving family but still part of our family.
