My aunt went into this care home after suffering a stroke in Dec 2025. Because of her stroke she has been left unable to use the left side of her body so her care needs couldn't be met at home. Since the very first phone call with the home to discuss her needs everything has been done in a fantastic caring way. The managers and all staff have made us feel very welcome and all her needs are being met in a kind and respectful way. She is now making friends and is enjoying all the activities that are put on for her. I personally feel so much better and less stressed knowing that my aunt has 24 hour support. The home has good security for the residents, a signing in and out book so they know who is visiting, is clean and the gardens are well kept. They have notice boards with information for you to read and are available for you to ask any questions that you may have. Overall I recommend this care home, both myself and my aunt are happy that she is here.

The Building over the last year has been redecorated and modernized, which it needed. But outside areas do still need work to make safe environment for residents to enjoy. Staff are fantastic at The Beeches, cannot praise them enough. Friendly, professional, caring and understanding. Just not enough of them.

My husband moved to Ashlands recently for respite following a crisis. I phoned Ashlands as it is new and has a good rating, and was immediately impressed by the manager. She obviously cares about the residents and, where possible, enables them to live as they want while being honest about what is possible. Importantly, she confirmed to me that where possible, they will keep residents to end of life if at all possible. The staff are polite and calm, helpful, and caring to residents and visitors. The rooms are light, and residents have a choice of where they sit as there are 4 dining areas. The food is plentiful and looks appetising. Requests are responded to promptly where possible.

My wife has been a resident of Ashlands Care Home for the past four years; she has dementia. The care she receives is excellent. I do feel that since the new management team has been in place, the care she receives has gone up another level. All the staff are pleasant and caring and do an excellent job. She is always clean, and the meals are excellent. I am kept informed of any issues that arrive.

The new manager has made a lot of improvements over the last few months. More robust procedures as required by the CQC, staff training is up to date. A big bonus is the recruitment of an activity coordinator who is encouraging the residents to get involved. Mum seems happy and well looked after by the care staff.

My father went to The Beeches from hospital for rehabilitation but after his 6 weeks, decided that he wanted to stay there. He had always been against living in a care home, so I was amazed that he elected to stay, but also really pleased as he needed to be somewhere with company and 24 hour care. He gained weight (the cook is a marvel and the food delicious)... he loved the staff, who regularly popped in to have a quick chat with him, and he was as clean as he would allow them to help him be (he was not easy to persuade into the shower) but he had thorough washes daily and he never had pressure sores, which for someone who sat in a chair and couldn't turn himself in bed, was a miracle.

The staff accepted his grumpy days which were frequent. If he felt unwell, he would never say, but they got to know him and would notice, and care enough to find out what was wrong and they would always update me if he was unwell between my visits. Highly recommend this home .

We, as a family, are very happy to see our mam so settled and content in this very welcoming home. All staff are wonderful and do all they can for mam, including the chefs, as mum's very fussy.

Couldn't wish for a better place for our mam to stay.

Mum has been a resident for over four years and the care & understanding of all the staff is second to none. I have seen a great deal of improvements over the years which is continuing both in the structure of the home and the care provided. The home is clean and any issues are dealt with in a timely manner. The food is of a very high standard with choices given at each meal time. Daily activities are continuing to improve. Mum being a resident in the home means that I can rest assured that she is safe & being well looked after.

My Nan has not been at Ashland's for long but the staff and management made her move there, very smooth and welcoming.
The care home is immaculate, always smells clean and has a homely feel. The food is fresh and looks great!
Staff have made a huge effort to get to know Nan and they make time for her. She has felt safe and cared for.
Since becoming a resident at Ashland's, Nan had a period of illness. The staff have been kind, attentive and caring. They have gone to great efforts to ensure that she is comfortable and respected. Family members have also been welcomed- offered drinks when visiting and always kept in the loop about Nans care.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Ashland's to others wanting a care home for their loved ones.

My Mum has been a resident of The Beeches Care Home since 2022 and both myself and my family are very happy with the care that Mum receives. The staff in the home are all very friendly and welcoming (from the management down to all other staff), and my Dad is treated like one of the family when he visits Mum.

If there is ever a problem with Mum or her care needs change I am always notified very quickly about what has happened and the action that has been taken. Once a year I am asked to review Mum's care plans and these are always update to date in documenting the care that Mum needs.

Once, when my Dad was taken poorly whilst visiting Mum, they looked after both of my parents, ensuring that Mum was not distressed by what was happening and getting Dad the emergency medical care that he needed. During this time the staff treated my dad with care and dignity as they do with Mum all year round.

My Mum has been at the Beeches for 10 years, and is their longest serving resident. For all that time she has been well looked after, in a safe, caring environment, with excellent staff, food, and facilities. The staff are well trained, thoughtful, and caring. They always respond quickly to any issues arising, and keep relatives informed. The building has undergone a process of continual improvement, and has a very homely feel to it. All food is home made on site, and is tailored to the age of residents, and individuals. Visits can be made at any time, and visitors are always made welcome. All the resident appear happy, and I am confident my Mum is happy living there too.

The resident has been well supported during their time in the home. They have deteriorated since being there that's due to the illness progression. However other conditions they had when first went there have improved. That's down to the good food. Care. And environment.
Staff are very pleasant and friendly and solve any issues that arise.

Have peace of mind
