The Beeches Care Home

My father went to The Beeches from hospital for rehabilitation but after his 6 weeks, decided that he wanted to stay there. He had always been against living in a care home, so I was amazed that he elected to stay, but also really pleased as he needed to be somewhere with company and 24 hour care.
He gained weight (the cook is a marvel and the food delicious)... he loved the staff, who regularly popped in to have a quick chat with him, and he was as clean as he would allow them to help him be (he was not easy to persuade into the shower) but he had thorough washes daily and he never had pressure sores, which for someone who sat in a chair and couldn't turn himself in bed, was a miracle.
The staff accepted his grumpy days which were frequent. If he felt unwell, he would never say, but they got to know him and would notice, and care enough to find out what was wrong and they would always update me if he was unwell between my visits. Highly recommend this home .

My Mum has been a resident of The Beeches Care Home since 2022 and both myself and my family are very happy with the care that Mum receives. The staff in the home are all very friendly and welcoming (from the management down to all other staff), and my Dad is treated like one of the family when he visits
Mum.

If there is ever a problem with Mum or her care needs change I am always notified very quickly about what has happened and the action that has been taken. Once a year I am asked to review Mum's care plans and these are always update to date in documenting the care that Mum needs.

Once, when my Dad was taken poorly whilst visiting Mum, they looked after both of my parents, ensuring that Mum was not distressed by what was happening and getting Dad the emergency medical care that he needed. During this time the staff treated my dad with care and dignity as they do with Mum all year round.

My Mum has been at the Beeches for 10 years, and is their longest serving resident. For all that time she has been well looked after, in a safe, caring environment, with excellent staff, food, and facilities. The staff are well trained, thoughtful, and caring. They always respond quickly to any issues
arising, and keep relatives informed. The building has undergone a process of continual improvement, and has a very homely feel to it. All food is home made on site, and is tailored to the age of residents, and individuals. Visits can be made at any time, and visitors are always made welcome. All the resident appear happy, and I am confident my Mum is happy living there too.

My mum was initially sent here for respite and the team could not be any more helpful and friendly than they are, nothing is too much trouble and I feel my mum is looked after very well. She is now a permanent resident and she feels like she is cared for in the best way possible. Thank you to all the
staff

The resident has been well supported during their time in the home. They have deteriorated since being there that's due to the illness progression. However other conditions they had when first went there have improved. That's down to the good food. Care. And environment.
Staff are very pleasant and
friendly and solve any issues that arise.
Have peace of mind

My mother was sent here for respite and she’s loved every minute.
The carers and management are wonderful and every day they would go and sit with Mum even just for a chat.
The food is all home cooked on the premises by a lovely lady and everyone enjoys the meals.
Mum's had her nails cut filed and
even painted, and they have a lovely lady that does their hair.
I must say we have been so happy with the excellent care that Mum has received
There’s even a lady that goes in and sings to everyone and plays a guitar.
Everyone that can gets up and dances, even the carers dance with everyone.
We just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the carers and management that have looked after my mum.
They will always be in our hearts as she was treated like family.

My friend was a resident for nearly 2 years. While at The Beeches, she received excellent care. The food was first class with plenty of choice. The care was from kind and caring staff. As next of kin, I was always kept informed of any problems or medication change and my views respected. In December
my friend became poorly and she was cared for with real care and dignity. My family and I where made welcome at any time to sit with her. Sadly she passed away on Christmas day. I know she was well cared for in her last hours and was not alone which is great comfort to us. I will miss the friendships I made there with the staff.
