I cannot thanks all of the staff enough for the way they look after Mum.
Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are always happy, smiling and helpful to her and her relatives.
If we have any questions, they always have time to help and the food the restaurant provides is great quality and tailored to mum's tastes.

Overall Experience

I have been a resident here for almost a year and have found the management and carers very kind, efficient and thoughtful for my health. Visitors have been struck by the friendly reception, the cleanliness and pleasant appearance of the home. My health has improved due to a hospital diet being observed by the catering. Activities and exercise are enjoyable and useful.

Just thought I would write a few words regarding my wife Dorothy's stay in Ambleside Bank. I spend over 4 hours a day in the home. The environment is 1st class, each person has different problems and are cared for their individual needs. It is very clean, food is to a good standard. It's comforting to know that Dorothy is so well looked after.

Ambleside Bank is a lovely Care Home with friendly, kind and caring staff. It is well managed and the staff are very approachable. In addition to the normal weekly activities staff go out of their way to celebrate special events throughout the year which the residents enjoy.

I am so pleased that my sister got to stay at Ambleside Bank Care Home for the last 15 months of her life. She was so happy there. All the staff are friendly, pleasant, helpful and caring to both residents and visitors.

I would recommend it to anyone.

Both my parents are residents at Ambleside Bank and both are cared for really well and with dignity and compassion. Dad took a while to settle but staff went above and beyond in taking time our of their busy day to pop in at regular intervals for a chat and make sure he was ok. He is now much better. Mum enjoys a chat and little giggle with staff, who she 'loves'. It's comforting to know they are well looked after.

Ambleside Bank is a lovely care home, my friend of over 40 years has been in here for 4 years and settled really well. They really look after the residents and I would definitely recommend. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

My mother in law moved in to Ambleside around three months ago, we tried to care for her for as long as possible at home until we felt we could no longer it was becoming unsafe, this was the best decision as a family we made!
My mother in law loves living in this little safe haven, the manageress & deputy assessed my mother in law in hospital and made her feel at ease instantly, they explained everything and made sure everything was right for her and us as a family.
The care and empathy the staff show is second to none, staff are always happy and smiling and are helpful when we visit. My Mother in law loves living at Ambleside, she said she wishes she had made the move years ago.
The activities and entertainment are fantastic, she has a new lease of life and it's so nice to see her so happy and content, as a family this is all we can ask for.

The home is spotlessly clean and has such a warming friendly atmosphere.

My Grandad was a resident at Ambleside Bank for around 2.5 years, my Grandad was really well cared for, all the staff from the Manager to the Deputy to the care staff and maintenance team are ALL Fantastic!!!
I have always felt the home welcoming and really clean and modern looking (always a lovely clean smell) staff have always been helpful. My Grandad was difficult at times, but staff always seemed to win him over and Cared for him so well, he even went on day trips organized by Joanne the activity staff.

My Grandad had quality life at Ambleside bank and as a family we are grateful.

I can't begin to explain what makes Ambleside Bank stand out. It is everything you would wish for your loved one.
The kindness of every one of the staff, the care given with respect and dignity, the lovely meals served in pleasant surroundings, the activities and outings all go to make Ambleside the amazing place it is.

Ambleside Bank Care Home is a special place. We are so pleased that our mum spent the last year of her life surrounded by such caring and dedicated staff. The carers took time to get to know her individual needs and interests and provided care and support in a professional and friendly manner. They provided a good range of regular activities and experiences including games, pamper days, singers, themed meals and trips out in the minibus. She couldn't have been better looked after. The home was clean and bright and Mum was able to take her own belongings to make her room cosy and familiar.
As a family, we feel we were always welcomed and staff took time to speak to us and explain how she was keeping.

My mother was looked after very well. All staff were sensitive and considerate of her needs. She was made comfortable, and her safety was of paramount importance. I could not have wished for a happier more caring final home for my mother.

My mum has resided at Ambleside for 3 years now and has been extremely happy for all her time there. Our family have always found the management and staff most helpful and a huge support to both my mum and the family. We are really grateful for everything that is done for Mum which continues to be of a high standard. Management and staff are approachable, caring and supportive and the family feel assured Mum is in a safe environment.

My cousin has been a resident at Ambleside Bank for around 4 years and the staff have been excellent in all aspects of care. Due to having medical problems myself, I had been unable to visit recently and was worried but I knew my cousin was in good hands and today's visit proved that all was well and my cousin was happy.

I moved my 90-year-old mother with dementia into Ambleside Bank this week and I have to say I am bowled over by how impressive and amazing all the staff have been. The team are caring and excellent and they instantly made my mum feel at home and special. She already loves it. The facilities are spotless and extensive and lots of activities are in place. It is friendly, spotless and has an amazing atmosphere.

Mum is really happy here and she enjoys the food. The staff are excellent, should be more on the weekends. It always seems to be a happy place to work and live there, what I have seen. Staff should be paid more, it's a hard job to do. Don't understand why private pays more than council if it's not a lot because she is losing her house money already living here.

The atmosphere when you walk into Ambleside Bank is very welcoming and the staff are very friendly and always on hand for a chat. The day trips they have taken the residents out are brilliant and the events coordinator is a diamond. The manager and her deputy are a great team and with their leadership, they have brought Ambleside Bank on so much. Well done everyone in the team, needs a pat on the back from the girls in reception to the maintenance man to the chefs. Well done.

Since my auntie has been a resident at Ambleside Bank since around July last year, I have nothing but praise for the home. They really care for the residents, and they treat them like their own family. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the home is spotlessly clean, and the food really is good. Cannot praise the home enough; it really is first class, and my auntie is so happy there.
