With a number of care homes located across the north of England, Century Healthcare have become one of the leading providers for healthcare since their establishment in 1998.

All sites offer residential care for a range of differing needs including care for dementia, physical disabilities, elderly care and care for young adults too. Some homes also offer nursing care, specialising in care for residents who require additional medical support.

Century Healthcare are dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care to all residents. They understand that the move to a care home can be difficult, for both the individual and their loved ones, and they aim to make this process as easy as it can be by promising care that maintains safety, independence, and offers the best lifestyle for the individual. To do this, they work closely with families and health professionals, including physiotherapists and occupational therapists, building a picture of the resident and their needs so that care packages are completely bespoke. Care plans are regularly reviewed so that care is consistently reliable and flexible too.

The team of experienced care professionals work hard to keep residents stimulated and engaged, making sure that each home is a happy place to be. There is an activities coordinator at each site who plans purposeful and fun activities for the residents, focusing on both mental and physical health.

The Century Healthcare team is made up of only the most dedicated and experienced people. All staff are qualified to at least NVQ level, and are encouraged to undergo regular training so that they are always improving their practice and delivering the best possible care. This ensures that everybody who wants to join the Century Healthcare family can do so with confidence, knowing that they, or their loved one, will be in the best hands.

Mum has been in Euxton Park Care Home for 3 years now, and although mum's condition has deteriorated we feel she has always been well cared for. All the staff are lovely with her. Mum can't join in with the activities anymore, but still enjoys the company when the staff go to her room to read newspapers
for her, and they are all happy and upbeat with her, which brings a smile to her face.

I have been a resident here for just 2 yrs. In that time I can honestly say I have been happy with the care I have received. There have been only 1 or 2 issues which were promptly addressed and dealt with satisfactorily. All in all I would be happy to recommend Gillibrand Hall if asked.

Just thought I would write a few words regarding my wife Dorothy's stay in Ambleside Bank. I spend over 4 hours a day in the home. The environment is 1st class, each person has different problems and are cared for their individual needs. It is very clean, food is to a good standard. It's comforting
to know that Dorothy is so well looked after.
Reply from Kay Rigby, Manager at Ambleside BankThank you so much for your kind review this truly means a lot to us, as do Dorothy and all her family. It is a pleasure to care for Dorothy and make sure she is comfortable and happy here with us at Ambleside Bank. Thanks again from us all here.

My Nan was moved from another care home which had been providing sub-par service. At Euxton Park she is thriving, she has regained some weight, has her hair and nails done (which she always loved), she is stimulated in her environment and well taken care of by the whole team.
The manager and staff
always greet us when we visit and more importantly engage with my Nan on a daily basis. She always has a smile for Debbie.
We are so glad she made the move.

The nursing home is an amazing place. My Dad spent 4 months in there before he passed away in June 2026. The carers were brilliant and always did their very best for Dad. The nursing was exceptional too. He always had clean clothes. The Activity Coordinators were good fun. He managed to go to a few
activities which he really enjoyed. The home is so clean and tidy. If I could give it 6 stars out of 5 I would have done. Debbie you have a truly amazing team. Thank you for everything.
Reply from Debbie Lewis, Manager at Euxton Park Care HomeThank you Julie for your wonderful feedback. All of us were inspired by your Dad, he was a wonderful character, full of spirit and motivation. My Father-in-law has been in the care of the New Thursby team for the last three weeks. Stefan came out to see him in his home and straight away we knew that he would be well cared for. It was a difficult decision but the right decision. The care of all the team to my father-in-law and us as a family
has been outstanding. Everyone works so hard and we are so grateful that they have been here to support us at end of life. The home is clean. His personal care is outstanding and the nursing care he is receiving superb. Thank you Alina, Romona Zolt and all the team .( Too many people to mention individually) We couldn't ask for more gentle and professional approach to his needs. We are still on a path to the end of his life. But at this moment I just wanted to write a note. To recognise everyone who is supporting us.
Thank you all at the New Thursby

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Since coming to euxton park we have seen significant improvements in my nanny's health and wellbeing. The staff do an amazing job at looking after her, they take such care to ensure that she enjoys her meals and has regular engagement and contact throughout the day. They organise special events for
her and the other residents to be a part of throughout the year and ensure that any entertainment is tailored specifically for them. The team clearly care about her and work really hard to ensure that she feels safe and well looked after. I would absolutely recommend Euxton park to anyone who needed help with caring for an elderly relative.
Reply from Debbie Lewis, Manager at Euxton Park Care HomeThank you Laura for your fantastic feedback, the staff endeavour to support residents and care for them in a way that makes them feel that this is home from home. We welcome feedback and we are always looking to improve what we do, so if you ever have any suggestions them please let me or any of the staff know.

My Aunt was transferred to Mary Rose Manor from hospital and all the staff were so attentive during her stay. Her welfare, comfort and dignity were paramount at all times to the staff who were also compassionate and to the family too which was much appreciated as it was an emotional time for us.
My
Aunt was able to continue enjoying her love of music and dancing through activities and staff taking the time to help her with these favourite things.
I was so pleased and relieved that my Aunt was in Mary Rose Manor to receive such excellent care. Other visitors to my Aunt remarked to me that the home was lovely and they were impressed with the facilities but more importantly how every staff member wanted and did the very best for my Aunt.
Thank you to everyone at Mary Rose Manor for such good care of my Aunt and keeping her safe.

My brother was transferred to this location from another care home due to excellent all round reviews. On my first visit, I was very impressed with the size of the accommodation and the very positive result of cleanliness and tidiness, also the attention of the very friendly staff. On the first floor
was a large common room where the patients could sit during the day and be looked after by numerous staff, again very attentive and helpful, with snacks available. Security was a high priority also. This is an excellent all round home!
