Glen Tanar is amazing all the staff very friendly and so caring. My dad,sister,neice and I are so happy mum is being so well looked after.Mum settled in very easily because the staff made her feel welcome. We haven't had to go though this before and we have been very thankful for all the help and advise
they have been able to give us.Glen Tanar is outstanding. Thank-you very much you are all real treasures.

I am so happy I got my mum into this care home. The level of care she receives is excellent. The staff are dedicated and supportive. The standard of care is over and above what is expected of a residential home. They cope with my mum's additional needs very well, with strategies in place as soon as
anything changes to make sure she is safe and well at all times.

I honestly can't believe how good the Glen Tanar care home is. From the moment my mum arrived, the care, kindness and support have been outstanding.
A huge reason for this is the manager, Helen - she is absolutely amazing. She truly cares, not only about the residents but also about their families,
and nothing is ever too much trouble for her.
The staff take brilliant care of my mum and always make us feel welcome and supported too. The food is all freshly made and always looks lovely, and there are so many activities and outings to keep residents happy, active and involved.
I genuinely cannot fault this care home in any way and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional care for a loved one.

I can't thank everyone at Glen Tanar enough for there kindness and compassion they've shown to my grandad. From the moment he arrived, he was treated with genuine warmth and respect, which made such a difference to our whole family.
A special mention has to go to Helen, who has been lovely since my
grandad arrived. All of the staff at Glen Tanar deserve recognition as well. They work incredibly hard and always go the extra mile, whether it's through their friendly conversations, their professionalism, or the little things they do each day to make residents feel at home.
It gives me real peace of mind knowing my grandad is in such a supportive and caring environment. We're so grateful for everything you all do, thank you for treating him with such dignity and kindness.

We looked around numerous homes for my mother-in-law on the Fylde coast and couldn't find a home that had 'the right balance' ie felt like home, down to earth caring staff, nice food and a good mixture of residents. Then we found Glen Tanar.
It's a special place; from Helen the manager to all of the
staff, there is just such a caring environment where my mother-in-law felt welcome.
We were worried initially about how things were going to go but Helen assured us that there was flexibility in many aspects of the initial stages, and the needs of my mother-in-law would always be the priority.
There are always things going on from kids from a local nursery visiting, to a Shetland pony, to chicks being hatched in the lounge, to days out etc etc
As the dementia progressed the willingness of the staff to go the extra mile became more and more apparent. This meant so much to our family and was so appreciated.
I would recommend this home.

My mother has been a resident for 7 years at Milton Lodge and they have looked after her so well and she is happy there. They cater for her needs and keep my sister informed of any concerns with health . It's a huge undertaking leaving a loved one in care and a big decision to make but 7 years ago mum
was on palliative care and Milton Lodge staff have kept her here with there care. The home is clean and the food is great. They do wany activities with the residents and you can visit anytime. I highly recommend Milton Lodge.

My Dad came to this home in December. The staff are just amazing here and the care for all the residents is just 100 percent. I am very happy to say I have made the right choice for my Dad and he is very settled. here. And Helen made sure that my Dad settled here and gives everything to make

What I appreciate about the Glen Tanner is the kindness and friendliness of the staff. They're always very engaged with my mother and also give her space when she needs it too. There seems to be little turnover of staff which helps with continuity of care. Admin with Helen is also straight forward and
I've had no issues getting hold of her, whenever I've called the home. I feel confident my mother's getting good care, this brings peace of mind especially as I live a long way away.

Excellent care home. My mother in law sheila has thrived since she became a resident in feb 25. The food is excellent. Sheila loves it. The staff are fantastic you can tell they all love working there. The are constantly looking for things to do with the residents. They have done everything they can
to make sheila happy. I can't recommend enough. 10/10 from me and sheila.

My mum moved to the Glen Tanar care home from another care home. What a difference in my mum the staff are so kind caring and compassionate nothing is to much trouble they go out of there way to support my mum. The food is good my mum's room is homely they have activities for the residents and they
take residents out on outings. When I go and visit my mum I'm always greeted nicely. Well what can I say about the Glen Tanar care home it's fabulous thank you.

We very reluctantly had to put my mum into a care home . We asked around for recommendations and Glen Tanar had the most positive feedback. So she has become a resident there. And what a difference we saw immediately in my mum. The staff without exception are friendly, polite , and give their all
. They have singers,entertainment and daytrips .nothing is too much trouble for them . The food is fantastic. My mum loves it ,and once again they have achieved a 5 star award. What more could you ask for . I can sleep at night knowing she has the best care and attention she deserves. The difference in her is amazing. I feel like I have my mum back . Thank you for everything.

My experience of Glen Tanner continues to be a positive experience. On my visits I find staff to be welcoming and caring towards myself, other residents and families.
Mum's room is beautiful. Care is taken by staff to ensure it is clean and her special belongings and memories are visible which is of
great comfort to us all.
Staff keep us updated and informed on activities and how Mum is. They are fully supportive to us as a family. We truly appreciate all staff's efforts to ensure Mum is very well cared for.

My mother was newly diagnosed with dementia, was at high risk of falls and it became clear she needed 24 hour care. The team at Milton Lodge treat her with dignity and respect. Staff are friendly and always have time to answer any questions I may have about her care. From the moment you walk into the
home, it feels just like home. No bad smells, no strong air fresheners to cover smells and the rooms are always spotlessly clean. All the residents look clean, dressed, men shaved and hair brushed. My mums room, although small, is always spotlessly clean. Her clothes are washed and she always looks presentable. The food, sounds to be tasty and there is lots of choice. The residents are offered lots of brews, jugs of water, in my mums case a jug of lemonade to keep her hydrated. Any concerns, can be discussed with Nicola the manager. She is approachable and seems to lead by example - a good one.
As a retired nurse I had set the bar high and I highly recommend this home. She is now safe.

Our mum has been a resident since April 2025.
The care she receives is absolutely fantastic the staff are all lovely and show mum nothing but respect and care.
They go above and beyond to make sure mum is cared for and comfortable.
It really is the closet thing to a home from home experience and

Mum has been a resident for several years now. She can at times be grumpy and demanding and has higher needs than most of the residents. The care and compassion of the staff is extraordinary. They are unfailingly patient and kind. When my time comes I hope there will be a space for me in the Lodge.

The staff at Milton Lodge are amazing with the residents and also their families nothing is too much trouble. It has such a family feel. The residents are happy and very well looked after and the food always looks very nice. They are currently looking after my nan and previously my grandads and I cant

My mother spent over 4 years at Glen Tanar before she passed away recently. The staff were all amazing throughout her stay, involving in her numerous activities and outings to keep her fully engaged. In her final weeks when her health was failing the team constantly looked after her and could not
have done more for her in the level of care they provided.
Throughout her stay I was confident she was being well looked after and I was always made extremely welcome when I visited.
