I visit regularly with my dog as part of the Pets as Therapy Charity. I have always found the staff helpful and polite. The residents I have come in contact with all appear to be well cared for and happy at the home. It is clear from the renovations taking place that the facilities will be of good standard.

i have been volunteering as a befriend ler to the residents of Oorchard Views. I come twice a week to socialise and play games. the residents are very happy here and the staff are so kind and amazing. the manager is really genuine and really cares abiut her residents and team. it really is a happy place
to be.

Been here for 20 years, it was the last place placement that I had at college and been here ever since, there's nowhere else I'd rather be. I feel like we are all a family all trying to do the residents which is our number one goal. Another positive for me is that I only live down the road from here.

I do not have a bad word to say about this home. The staff are all amazing, always smiling, attentive and really do ensure the residents are happy. The cleanliness is excellent, as are the facilities. From what I have witnessed, residents are treated with dignity and I couldn't ask any more from a home.

My grandma stayed at Orchard Views in march this year for a short period of respite. We were both somewhat apprehensive as this was her first time staying in a care home. I can say this place far surpassed our expectations!
The manager Lindsay was there to welcome us & she was extremely knowledgeable
& empathetic towards my grandmas needs & showed a genuine caring interest towards our situation, this put my grandma immediately at ease.
The home is immaculately clean & has great facilities & regular social events organised for the residents. The staff are friendly & professional & the residents are interactive & appear happy in their environment.
My grandma thoroughly enjoyed her stay & she said the food was excellent! She is looking forward to her next visit. Thank you to all the staff for making her stay so special.

I came to visit my grandma and was greeted by happy staff that made me feel very welcome. I was offered to have lunch with my grandma and the dos was first class and was freshly cooked in site. The kitchen assistant is also a fantastic baker. The main lounge is comfortable and cosy. My gram has a freshly
decorated room and the care she receives is outstanding. I have even been invited to their summer BBQ next month which I didn't expect. The owner and the manager are very passionate about their community

Couldn't wish for a better place for my dad. Lyndsey and all the staff are just amazing. Dad has received the best care whilst at Orchard Mews. They have dedicated time and effort into getting to know all about dad's life (and also the family); so that they could best support dad's needs and his dementia.
But more than that, they genuinely care about their residents and families. You can see it in the way that residents are presented, the interactions and communication, the cleanliness of the home and the beautiful food provided. Thanks everyone for all that you do. I'd highly recommend the nursing home to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved one.

What a wonderful place . The welcome and care not only my Father but our family as a whole has received has been outstanding. Lindsay and the team go above and beyond and nothing is too much trouble .
My Fathers needs are tended to promptly and we are always kept informed if there are any problems.
The
home is inviting and the care team are so friendly and my father speaks highly of his stays . He loves the food and the care team keep him entertained with various activities which is exactly what we were looking for .

My mum moved into Dearnlea in February 2026. She has settled very well due to the care and attention given to her by all the staff. I am very happy with how my mum has improved since making that very tough decision and placing her in the care of Dearnlea Nursing Home. The staff go above and beyond in

I cannot fault at all this care home. My mum has been in about 3 months and the care for her with having dementia is really good the patience the staff have. Staff really bond with all of them. Mam was so tired after her party, went to bed at 7 o'clock, but they were checking on her all the time. Cleanliness
is really well not only in rooms but overall in the home. Well impressed.

The staff are very friendly and helpful at all times even when they are busy. The staff have gotten to know my mum and remember her name as soon as she walks in for respite care. The care home always feels warm and welcoming at all times.


The manager and receptionist have been especially accommodating

with my alterations to pre booked respite care holiday dates. Which I am very grateful for as it as allowed me to make the most of my respite care given to me for my mum.

Staff at Dearnelea took very good care of my brother.From day 1 so much care and love,me and my sisters became very good friends with all the Staff,and could not thank them enough.The rooms were very spacious and had a homely feel about them which made it more comfortable for the residents.Well done

We are incredibly happy with the quality of care my dad receives. He has quite significant health needs, and the team manage these exceptionally well with professionalism, compassion, and reassurance, giving our family real peace of mind.
The staff are kind, caring, and always treat him with dignity
and respect. It's clear they genuinely care about the wellbeing and happiness of residents. The home is always clean, welcoming, safe, and well managed, and my dad's room is comfortable and homely.
The food is excellent, activities are engaging, and the overall standard of care is outstanding. Every area deserves the 5 stars we've given. We are so grateful for the dedication and support shown to my dad and would wholeheartedly recommend this home, for anyone with the easiest or more complex care needs.

When Mum first arrived at Dearnlea in Feb 26 she had experienced multiple hospital admissions since Christmas. She has Alzheimer's so they had interfered with her routine, creating confusion and distress for her. Vicki and her staff took time to show me around and talk to me about what they could provide
and how they'd cater for Mum's dementia needs as it progresses. The staff were welcoming, caring, knowledgeable and interacting with the residents. Mum was given a detailed care plan, which I was able to add to. The home is clean and nicely decorated. It took Mum a couple of weeks for her to get her bearings but I have been impressed with how bright she has been when talking to her on the phone. She tells me she likes the food, enjoys the activities and joins in with everything that is going on. I can see this for myself on the social media page and see photos of her. She told me yesterday that it's the best move she's ever made. I'm happy that Mum's happy and thriving.
