I viewed the home with my cousin who was looking for a placement for her Dad. We didn't make an appointment, were greeted by the home manager who was welcoming and gave us all the information we needed. The atmosphere in the home is lovely, the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Staff always offer you a drink and have been offered a meal on occasions. The residents appear happy and well cared for. The food is home cooked and looks delicious.

I had been looking after Dad for the past 3 years but over the past few months his dementia was getting progressively worse and his medical needs were increasing.I reluctantly made the decision to place Dad in Orchard Views for some respite. It was such a very hard decision to make but Lindsey, the care home manager, soon put my mind at ease.It is obvious how passionate and committed she is to providing the best service and care possible and she has already made significant improvements to the home since taking on the role. She has gone above and beyond, even collecting a prescription for Dad on her day off! I have witnessed her 'muck in' with jobs when needed, a sign of a real team player.
All the staff are lovely and kind and make sure all Dads needs are met with a smile.
The food is wonderful and all home made, Dad particularly enjoys the puddings!!
I'm very happy to say that Dad has settled in really well which was my main concern.

I would not hesitate in recommending Orchard Views

I visit regularly with my dog as part of the Pets as Therapy Charity. I have always found the staff helpful and polite. The residents I have come in contact with all appear to be well cared for and happy at the home. It is clear from the renovations taking place that the facilities will be of good standard.

Been here for 20 years, it was the last place placement that I had at college and been here ever since, there's nowhere else I'd rather be. I feel like we are all a family all trying to do the residents which is our number one goal. Another positive for me is that I only live down the road from here. The staff are amazing.

My grandma stayed at Orchard Views in march this year for a short period of respite. We were both somewhat apprehensive as this was her first time staying in a care home. I can say this place far surpassed our expectations!
The manager Lindsay was there to welcome us & she was extremely knowledgeable & empathetic towards my grandmas needs & showed a genuine caring interest towards our situation, this put my grandma immediately at ease.
The home is immaculately clean & has great facilities & regular social events organised for the residents. The staff are friendly & professional & the residents are interactive & appear happy in their environment.

My grandma thoroughly enjoyed her stay & she said the food was excellent! She is looking forward to her next visit. Thank you to all the staff for making her stay so special.

I came to visit my grandma and was greeted by happy staff that made me feel very welcome. I was offered to have lunch with my grandma and the dos was first class and was freshly cooked in site. The kitchen assistant is also a fantastic baker. The main lounge is comfortable and cosy. My gram has a freshly decorated room and the care she receives is outstanding. I have even been invited to their summer BBQ next month which I didn't expect. The owner and the manager are very passionate about their community

Couldn't wish for a better place for my dad. Lyndsey and all the staff are just amazing. Dad has received the best care whilst at Orchard Mews. They have dedicated time and effort into getting to know all about dad's life (and also the family); so that they could best support dad's needs and his dementia. But more than that, they genuinely care about their residents and families. You can see it in the way that residents are presented, the interactions and communication, the cleanliness of the home and the beautiful food provided. Thanks everyone for all that you do. I'd highly recommend the nursing home to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved one.

We are incredibly happy with the quality of care my dad receives. He has quite significant health needs, and the team manage these exceptionally well with professionalism, compassion, and reassurance, giving our family real peace of mind.
The staff are kind, caring, and always treat him with dignity and respect. It's clear they genuinely care about the wellbeing and happiness of residents. The home is always clean, welcoming, safe, and well managed, and my dad's room is comfortable and homely.

The food is excellent, activities are engaging, and the overall standard of care is outstanding. Every area deserves the 5 stars we've given. We are so grateful for the dedication and support shown to my dad and would wholeheartedly recommend this home, for anyone with the easiest or more complex care needs.

We moved my dad to orchard view just before Christmas, and I've got to say the upgrade in the level of care is off the scale . The paperwork and attention to detail in the care plans ensures all staff know what they're doing . All the staff from the cook ,maintenance man , carers and management are warm and welcoming, always smiling and happy to answer any questions any time . The hold many events for family and friends to come alone and enjoy great days with their loved ones . The facilities are second to none freshly refurbished to a high standard .Am not one for leaving reviews but I felt orchard view thoroughly deserve one . I always leave smiling my dad's getting the care he deserves.

I was always made very welcome whenever I visited my friend and it was wonderful to observe the relationship between my friend and the staff, who clearly loved her dearly. The home was always clean and the quality (and quantity) of the food was excellent. There was no set breakfast menu, residents could choose anything from a bowl of porridge to a full English! Always two choices at lunch and tea and always home made. None of the rooms are en suite but there are enough bathrooms for the residents as well as a hairdressing salon. The biggest compliment I can give the home is that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Orchard Views to my family and friends and anyone looking for a down to earth, caring and friendly place to live.

My Dads first stay in Orchard Views for respite, so you can imagine my anxiety being his full time carer at home. Lyndsay recognised my guilt/anxiety straight away and put me immediately at ease, reassuring me, I was deserving of sourcing respite for my Dad, she had a personal, empathetic approach which helped relieve my feelings of guilt and anxiety. Lyndsay took time to listen and spent time with me discussing my Dads needs, wishes and preferences, showed me around and agreed respite that I felt would suit my Dads and my own needs.

My dad spent 2 days/ nights at Orchard Views and I was so happy when I went to take my Dad back home. The staff were all kind and gave person centred care, respecting my Dads needs and wishes and gave me a full update of his time spent in the home. My dad was smiling and happy, I have since booked more respite and thanks to Lyndsay and the staff, I am confident that my dad is safe and cared for so well. Thank you so very much Orchard Views.

A massive thank you to Lindsay, Omar and all the staff at Orchard Views. Mother needed a care home, quite quickly, after a fall to support her daily needs and get her back on her feet. This is exactly what they did. Lindsay is a first class care home manager, listening to the family and the client, as to the best way to provide care. Although only being in for 2 weeks respite, mother made friends, had 2 weekends of musical entertainment, cooked with college students, but most of all became her own person again. 5 star wonderful care.

My mother is currently in this home for respite care. In the past, when she has needed this, we have had experience of three other care homes. All of those homes were very disappointing. This home is a beacon of excellence. The manager is enthusiastic, kind and openly seeks you at for conversation when you visit. I have also never sat down and had a conversation with the owner of a home before - I have here. Should my mother need permanent care I have found the home for her.

On arrival I was met with great atmosphere and a happy, positive environment. This was the first time visiting my aunt so I wasn't sure what to expect. All my questions were answered professionally and was very reassuring. Lyndsays the manager showed me the facilities that my Aunt Shel uses. They are modern and fresh and the residents seemed happy. Some Irish dancers came and put on a performance which was great to see Aunt Shel involved. I wasn't sure what to expect but I am so glad my Aunt is thriving. Happy manager, happy staff, happy place.
