I have worked in care since 2016. I began as a carer and soon developed a passion for the role. Having a strong work ethic and dedication I developed my skills and quickly rose through the hierarchy to management level.
It is an honour to care for people and provide a high quality service.
I am now the manager of Orchard Views and it is a privilege to be part of this community.
I am very proud to have a team that is as passionate as myself in delivering high quality care.
I hold a Psychology BSc (Hons) from the University of Leeds and before entering care I worked at the Academic Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Leeds General Infirmary. I conducted several research projects which had a focus on falls prevention in older adults and I am very proud that two of those projects were published.
This previous role provided me with knowledge and skills that incorporate well into the role of a care manager.

My name is Sam and I’m proud to be working as a Senior Carer on days here at Orchard Views. I first joined the team in 2019 after gaining valuable experience as a community carer, and it’s been a real privilege to grow within the home over the past few years.

In addition to my senior care duties, I’m also the Moving and Handling Facilitator, which means I support the team with safe, effective practices to ensure the well-being of both residents and staff. I’m always happy to offer guidance or refreshers if anyone needs support in this area.

It’s really important to me that residents feel respected, comfortable, and well cared for—and that staff feel confident and supported in their roles.

My name is Kayleigh and I have worked in care for five years.
I am one of the day seniors at Orchard Views and I hold a NVQ3 qualification.
I really enjoy working here because I like to make a positive difference to peoples lives.
I am very enthusiastic when it comes to delivering a gold standard service of care.

My name is Kay, and I began working in care in 2021. Since then, I’ve gained a great deal of experience supporting older adults, and it’s become a role I truly cherish. I approach my work with kindness, patience and empathy, always taking the time to understand each person’s needs and the little things that matter to them. Being able to offer comfort, reassurance and companionship is something I value deeply, and I’m committed to helping residents feel safe, respected and uplifted each day. It’s a privilege to be part of their lives, and I strive to make every moment we share feel warm, meaningful, and genuinely cared for.

My name is Augustine, and I’ve been working in care for the past two years. I’m someone who leads with empathy and compassion, and I take real pride in supporting the people who live here. Every day brings an opportunity to offer comfort, encouragement, and companionship, and I always aim to bring a sense of fulfilment and joy to residents’ lives. Being part of their daily routines and getting to know their stories is genuinely rewarding, and I’m committed to providing care that feels both personal and meaningful.

I joined the team in 2023, bringing with me over 20 years of experience in the care sector since starting my career in 2002. I have a genuine passion for supporting the elderly, with particular experience in dementia care. Working night shifts allows me to provide comfort, reassurance, and high-quality care to residents during the quieter hours, ensuring their well-being and dignity are always maintained. I am committed to making a positive difference every night I work.

My name is Jean, and I have had the privilege of working here as the Head Chef for the past 27 years. Throughout my time here, I have dedicated myself to providing nutritious, delicious, and comforting meals for our residents. Over the years, I’ve come to know many of our residents personally, learning their individual preferences and dietary needs, which allows me to create menus that not only meet nutritional guidelines but also bring a bit of joy to their day.

For me, cooking isn’t just about food — it’s about care, comfort, and creating a sense of home. I take great pride in working closely with our care team, dietitians, and families to ensure that every meal supports the health and well-being of those we serve. After nearly three decades, this kitchen has become my second home, and it’s an honour to play a part in the daily lives of our residents.

My name is Becki. I have worked at Orchard Views for 8 years.
I am very enthusiastic regarding the nutrition and hydration of older adults. I really love working here because I feel part of a community. I feel part of the service as I don't just confine myself to the kitchen I like to build strong relationships with the people that reside here.

My name is Nicola and I’m part of the Domestic and Laundry team here at Orchard Views, and I’ve been with the home for the past six years.

My role involves making sure the home is clean, tidy, and comfortable for everyone living and working here. I take great care in my work and always aim to help maintain high standards throughout the home.

It’s a pleasure to be part of such a supportive team, and I’m always happy to lend a hand wherever needed.

My name is Alan, and I’ve been the Maintenance Man here for the past three years. My role is to make sure that our home is always safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for our residents and staff. From keeping the heating running smoothly in the winter to making sure every lightbulb works and every handrail is secure, I take great pride in looking after the building so that everyone can feel at home.

Even though I work mostly behind the scenes, I enjoy getting to know the residents and making sure they feel comfortable raising any concerns, big or small. For me, it's not just about fixing things — it’s about creating a safe, pleasant environment where residents can relax and enjoy their day-to-day life without worry.
