I cannot rate this home highly enough l, we had a tough start to residential care in a previous home and after visiting several homes across the borough, this one stood out. Not just aesthetically as it is being refurbished beautifully, but the staff are lovely, warm, welcoming and capable. The manager, Lindsay, has been here just over a year and is fantastic. Her care plans are detailed and personal to my dad, no stone is left unturned. My dad has complex needs following a stroke and they manage them really well. I have faith that they are transparent with communications and pre-empt his needs. The team work hard to find suitable enrichment activities for all residents and provide a variety of activites that all are encouraged to join in with. My dad is happy, well kept, well hydrated and has a lovely diet of fresh home made food. Some areas are still being renovated but the plans are impressive, don't let it put you off.

My friend is staying in Orchard Views for a few weeks post surgery.

On visiting I noted that the home was in the process of being refurbished, but the areas that were done, were to a high standard. The home is welcoming and clean, and the manager and staff helpful and friendly. The care being given being 1st class. The food is cooked on the premises and, according to my friend, excellent.

The care and provision at Orchard Views Care Home, Barnsley is nothing short of exceptional. Every member of staff I have met demonstrates genuine compassion, patience and professionalism creating an environment where residents are treated with dignity, warmth and respect at all times. The level of attention to individuals is outstanding and it is clear tha tthe team goes above and beyond to ensure that not only physical wellbeing but also emotional happiness and a true sense of belonging. The facility has recently been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard with further plans in place to improve the tenure of their residents. Communication with our family has been excellent, the atmosphere welcoming and reassuring with care standards exceeded my expectations. Orchard Views is a shining example of what outstanding person centered care shoud look like and I could not be more impressed. The care offered to my mother is beyond reproach and she has settled in very well already making friends, something I did not expect.

My mother-in-law is staying here for a couple of weeks respite care after a hospital stay. She was welcomed with open arms, and although it was late evening when we arrive,d she was given a hot sandwich and mug of tea straight away. All the staff we've met have been very friendly and have put my m in l at ease. She has improved health wise already and is sleeping really well here.

My mum stayed here for respite care whilst I visited my niece who lives abroad. I was really worried about leaving her, as she has lived with me for over a year since my Dad passed away. She has severe dementia and is unable to walk. As soon as me and my sister met Lindsay, the Care Home Manager, I knew we'd made the right choice. She was so passionate about providing the best care possible for her residents, and her knowledge regarding care for the elderly was exemplary. Lindsay wanted to know everything about my Mum so she could tailor the care she would receive. She showed us the facilities and where Mum would be sleeping. The reception rooms have recently been renovated to a high standard and are warm and inviting, and Mum's bedroom was lovely. I had chance to meet some of the carers who were so friendly and interacted wonderfully with the residents. I would heartily recommend this care home due to it's high standard of care and homely nature.

My Nanna has been a resident here for the past 6 weeks, whilst it was a difficult decision to move her from her home it is the best thing we could have done. The home has a lovely warm feel and all the staff are lovely. As a family we all feel so reassured that my Nanna is in the best place and is looked after. It is clear to see that the staff care deeply about the residents and their welfare.

Absolutely beautiful care home and well looked after.
Staff are so helpful and ever so friendly my Nannan has had a wonderful time here and it's fair to say it's the only care home she has truly settled in for her restbite period. All friends and family were welcome through the door and treated all the same with teas and coffees on tap and we even got to eat with Nannan too making it that much more special.

Would 100% recommend this care home my Nannan has never felt more but home.

On our visit to see my uncle at the care home, I was impressed with the amount of work that has been done since I last visited. Main entrance alot more inviting and the lounge is very relaxing with a huge, new flat screen TV. The staff have always been very friendly and always make us a drink when we arrive. My uncle is very happy there and always feels well looked after, which is the main thing.

My mum is a new resident here, it was a hard decision but as she has dementia it was best for her. I am so grateful to the manager and her team as they have given my mum the best care, she is safe, clean, cared for, has a structure to her day, company and has responded very well. It is going to be a little bumpy at times but I am positive she is in the best hands, I am very grateful to all the staff and have peace of mind now. Excellent care home & staff.
