The room was cleaned and the bed linen was changed every day. Staff were on call 24 hours a day always cheerful nothing too much trouble. Meals served in the dining room after being ordered the evening before were prepared in on-site kitchens and of excellent quality and choice. The physio was excellent making my progress phenomenal and the Occupational Therapist, Physio Therapist and Social Worker made my move home easy. My aunt told me more than once that most of the staff did not care and they could not wait to get out of her room. Patients were meant to buzz for help but many times the buzzer was left out of reach of my aunt. Regular checks were not made. On two occasions she fell out of bed. I could give several more examples of where Beckfield failed in their duty of care. My cousin made an official complaint on 25 October but the manager has told the CQC that she has no record of this. This lack of accountability is unacceptable.
