As a family we cannot praise Llanrhaeadr Hall highly enough. From the day my father moved there he as received the best possible care. Every single member of staff are kind and compassionate towards him and also towards us as his family. We are so grateful that he is looked after in such an incredibly
professional and caring way.

This review is based on 2x 1 hourly visits per week. This is a very good care home, occupying a small/medium country mansion house. The general ambience is very pleasant, and the staff are very friendly. Management are very receptive to any queries I may have. I am very satisfied that my wife is receiving
a good level of care, and I am very appreciative of the hard and at times difficult work of the staff.

The hall staff have been excellent with my Aunt who became a part of the hall community in early August 2024, following a protracted period in hospital. After having to leave her own home in an ambulance to be transported to hospital, she didn't have an opportunity to return there and the hall became
her new home.
The staff have been / are fantastic in creating a homely atmosphere and environment enabling my Aunt to adjust to her changed environment successfully. Staff interaction with residents helps generate an atmoshere of family, which has been vitally important, particularly as no family live locally to the area, and therefore family visits are not easiy able to be achieved. The staff go 'the extra mile' to ensure each resident feels individual care, and encourage participation in a range of differing activities. The hall is comfortable, clean and the decoration is reguarly revamped generating an ongoing freshness to help ensure the residents experience a feeling of improvement.

After living alone and independently for many years my aunt has settled here since August incredibly well. She has no family nearby, but the team have been brilliant at helping her settle in, and find a range of creative activities that she enjoys. She seems to have made good friends in the home, and
has been encouraged to personalise her room, which has it's own facilities and television.
We finally visited in February and were very impressed with the home, which was clean and bright and cheerful. From the outside the home seems quite grand with a long drive and red door which my aunt was quite taken with. The nearby Lodge is a great place to take her out for a coffee or lunch.
The staff we met were all friendly, caring with a sense of humour. It really does seem like a "home" and the staff and residents are like family to her. She seems really happy and settled and we are reassured that she is getting all the support she needs with day to day tasks, and treated with dignity.

All members of staff are so friendly, attentive, jolly and patient. They really understand my father and his needs whilst showing incredible patience. He is as happy and content as he can be in the care of LH. I have no doubt that LH is the best place he could be from the perspective of his care and
well being given his condition.

Just an example of one day. You can visit anytime, I popped in to see Mum who had not wanted to go into the Home and saw her reclining in the lounge with tea and biscuits getting her feet massaged. She had also had her hair and nails done. We returned to her room which was immaculate and smelled fresh.
All staff say hello and smile.

I can't thank the staff at Valley Lodge for all the care and support that they provide my Grandmother. They treat both herself and the other residents with dignity and respect and nothing is too much trouble. Management are helpful and approachable with any queries and are always keen to ensure that
the care of their residents is a top priority. I have visited at different times weekly and the home is always clean and welcoming.

This is my first visit to Llanrhaeadr Hall and I have to say I'm impressed. The welcome I received from the staff was lovely, the atmosphere was great. Seeing staff with residents was heartwarming, they were made to feel special. My friend, who I was visiting, had had her hair done and was well dressed.
It was obvious she was well cared for. Thank you to all the staff.

Llanrhaeadr Hall is an excellent care home. My mother has been a resident for three years and I regularly drop by to see her. My experience is of an extremely well-managed organisation. It is always welcoming and warm. The care home staff are genuine and really do care.
My mother is happier here than
she was prior to becoming a resident. I cannot praise Llanrhaeadr Hall highly enough. It is warm, friendly, and professional, the food is great and it is a very safe place for the residents.

My wife has been resident in Valley Lodge Residential/Nursing EMH Home for over three years. During that time her dependence on the staff looking after her needs has increased significantly. However, her needs are fully met by staff in a kind, compassionate and cheerful manner. The staff are alert to
any medical conditions which may be developing and ensure that appropriate action is taken at the earliest opportunity. The food provided is of a very high standard. The domestic staff, cleaners and laundry workers do an excellent job in often difficult conditions.

Following a rapid decline of his dementia and mobility my uncle was placed into valley lodge. From our initial visit to his acceptance, the manager explained the whole process with professionalism and empathy. She and her staff helped with our own sense of failure having looked after him for the last
18 months, ensuring as smooth as possible transition for us all.
Initially, he was placed into the EMI side but it soon became evident that his situation required full time nursing. Again, the manager and deputy manager were awesome. He was transferred internally onto the nursing side, changing rooms along with his upgraded nursing requirements.
His room is lovely and the facilities are maintained to a high standard. The staff are so good and caring, from the cleaners, kitchen staff, laundry staff, maintenance staff, carers and nurses.
My husband and I can't say thank you enough.

Valley Lodge is a caring home for my mother-in-law.
They provide a variety of activities; crafting, painting, cooking etc. for her to do.
She is well cared for and happy.
The staff are interested in my mother-in-law and take time to get to know her, so they can take an interest in her life and help
keep the memories alive.
Family is included in decisions made and we are always kept up to date with outside service involved with her care and welfare.
The staff are exceptional and hard working, from those who work in the kitchens, cleaning the premises, to hands on care. I can not thank them enough.

When my mam and I arrived last January, I thought what am I doing? But after a couple of hours I realised this was the right thing to do. Twelve months on, I and my auntie visit every week to see my mam so settled and happy it's a credit to the staff and management for everything they do. Also, I have
to say I also see what they do for the other residents.

My sister has been a resident at Valley Lodge for a number of years. She has CBD and is nursed in bed. The staff are very supportive and friendly, that includes all staff. My sister is cared for and fed by the staff who do a great job. The home has a varied range of activities especially leading up
to special occasions and holidays. The catering can be specific for any special diets and needs, drinks etc are freely provided as are snacks. I would choose Valley Lodge always.
