My mother has been a resident at Swn y Gan for nearly 4 years. She has advanced dementia and complex needs.
As her family, we are very content with the care she receives and with the way that we are treated by all the staff. From her carers, to the kitchen staff, admin staff , maintenance team and
managers we are treated with respect, friendliness and compassion.
We are always very happy to recommend Swn y Gan to anyone in the difficult position of needing residential/nursing care for a loved one. They provide mum with a safe and reassuring environment and are always more than willing to extend their care to her close family as well.

I would like to say a massive thank you to Andrew & his team who looked after my dad Brian until he sadly passed away. Everyone at the home made us feel so welcome and the care and compassion the staff showed looking after Dad was was above and beyond anything I have ever witnessed. They treated him
like family even though he could be a pain in the backside sometimes, LOL. So to all of you, thank you & next time we are down in Swansea we will pop in and say hello.

I moved my dad, Brian, to Ael y Bryn from Weymouth in July 2025 after his diagnosis of mixed dementia to be nearer to me. It was a home from home for him. The whole team from housekeeping, carers, kitchen team, maintenance and management were wonderful from the moment we stepped through the doors. the
care and compassion shown each and everyday by the team was genuine, warm and friendly. They made my dads last 7 months of his life wonderful and became his second family. We were always welcomed like old friends when we visited dad and I highly recommend Ael y Bryn to anyone looking for care of their loved ones.
Reply from Andrew Williams, Home Manager at Ael-y-Bryn Care HomeSuch kind words that will mean alot to the whole team. It was an honour to care for dad & have such a lovely family as part of the home.

My mother has settled
Very well within a short time this is due to the extremely supportive environment at Danesbrook, the care home is small enough to feel like home and the staff work tirelessly to create a fantastic environment encouraging social activities and stimulation. All the rooms are spotlessly
clean and look on to the enclosed garden. We couldn't have found a better place and their care provides both myself and my brother with peace of mind that mum
Is happy and cared for
Reply from Matt Dixon, Administrator at Danesbrook HouseThank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I will be sure to pass onto the staff your kind words.

Mum has been in Danesbrook House since New Year's week and absolutely loves living there. Recommended this home I visited same day mum fell again so that's when mums new chapter started.
Welcomed by Jo, Hayley & Matthew to view mum's room which is very clean is absolutely perfect for her as she has
a busy window of walkers with dogs and families daily. The staff are wonderful such kind caring beings who mum has chats and laughs with. The dining and living room area both bright and fantastic! I can't wait for the weather to get warmer to sit with mum in the garden her favourite place is beautiful and going to be a sun trap. We had lunch in a separate little dinning reading room the food better than mum ever cooked was delicious! My father heard stories saw pictures, happy mums enjoying her new home. Can't recommend this home enough, we love it there.

Thank you to each and every one of you looking after my mum X x x

Mum has landed! I smile every time I leave as she's happy there.

Reply from Matt Dixon, Administrator at Danesbrook HouseThank you so much for taking the time to write us such a lovely review. Mum has settled in very quickly and it is our pleasure to look after her.
Its always lovely when you visit, and sharing a joke and laugh with you, is always a highlight. Roll on the spring, so we can get you and mum into the garden, which is a favourite for many a resident and their families.

Yesterday I visited Ael Y Bryn care home where my late friend's dad now lives, and I was so moved by the experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. The home itself felt clean, calm, and full of positive energy.

My friend's dad was clearly well cared for as

he was clean, well-fed, and most importantly, genuinely happy. The staff and manager spoke to him with such warmth and dignity. It was clear that they truly care about the residents and take pride in what they do.

As I left, I felt a deep sense of peace knowing he is in such good hands. My friend (his daughter) sadly passed away 21 years ago under tragic circumstances, but I know she would be comforted to see her beloved dad so well cared for and content. I'm very grateful to everyone at the home for the compassion and dedication they show.

My mum has been at Danesbrook for about 5 months now and has settled in really well. The house is always so clean and I am very impressed by all the activities they do to prevent people sitting in their chairs all day with the TV on. The staff are very friendly and kind and the garden is beautifully
kept and a nice space to have. It is great to have the flexibility on visiting times and be included in some of the activities they put on. It is definitely a relief to find such a warm place where I know mum is well looked after and safe.

I have found the staff at Danesbrook House to be very friendly, courteous and helpful at all times. They have made sure my cousin has all her needs met, keeping her clean and tidy with dignity maintained. My cousin enjoys the food provided and mostly joins in with activities laid on.
