My mum has been at Danesbrook for about 5 months now and has settled in really well. The house is always so clean and I am very impressed by all the activities they do to prevent people sitting in their chairs all day with the TV on. The staff are very friendly and kind and the garden is beautifully
kept and a nice space to have. It is great to have the flexibility on visiting times and be included in some of the activities they put on. It is definitely a relief to find such a warm place where I know mum is well looked after and safe.

I have found the staff at Danesbrook House to be very friendly, courteous and helpful at all times. They have made sure my cousin has all her needs met, keeping her clean and tidy with dignity maintained. My cousin enjoys the food provided and mostly joins in with activities laid on. Her room is comfortable,
clean with en suite. She has a lovely view of the well-kept garden from her window too. We are able to visit her at any time and always find a pleasant atmosphere.

10 out of 10. Lovely and homely, not too many residents so everyone familiar, even for residents with dementia. Same staff rather than too many changes so excellent at understanding individual residents' needs. The residents are happy, content and a very calming environment.

Mum has been at Danesbrook for about a year, and when visiting I have always found the staff very friendly and caring to the residents and visitors alike. Mum is well looked after, and any concerns we have are dealt with promptly.
There are lots of different activities for the residents to join in
with, if they wish, such as gardening, cooking, music, birthday etc, which is great. Danesbrook use social media to keep family up to date with what's going on in the home. It is reassuring to see mum joining in and enjoying the activities.

I am very happy with the care that my mum receives at Danesbrook . From the outset ( Aug 2024) we chose Danesbrook for the personal care rather than the building/facilities.
Mum has a lovely room which opens onto the garden and this garden area is a wonderful place for her to enjoy. There are activities
that she can join in with if she chooses and all staff are very respectful towards mum.
Mum is very happy at Danesbrook and I feel she is safe, secure and well cared for. The staff are exceptional in the care they provide and they truly 'know' mum. This is what matters and reinforces my belief that she is in the best place.
Communication is good and we are contacted when there are any health issues or concerns. I highly recommend Danesbrook to others looking for a place where their loved one is cared for with understanding and kindness.

My mother been in the home nearly a year now. Making the decision to put my mother in a home was the hardest thing we've ever had to do. The Manager and his team made it alot easier for us.. He reassured me that my mam would be looked after and that everything was going to be ok. He did just that! The
carers are absolutely amazing with mam. They are all very hard working, kind and approachable. The home has entertainment for the residents, on a regular basis.. which my mam loves. The activities co ordinator, is fantastic with mam.. She is hands on with all the residents.. My mam receives I very high standard of care, the food is beautiful and when you visit the home, its got a lovely warm vibe to it. The home wouldn't be run like this without the brilliant management team. Never met someone so humble, so professional and so kind.. any issues I have, he address them straight away. Thank you for everything Ael Y Bryn

Mum has been at Danesbrook for about a year. We had checked out quite a few care homes in and around Cardiff, but the moment we walked into Danesbrook we were struck by what a loving and caring atmosphere the place has. This is clearly down to the staff and management, who all work so brilliantly as
a team to make everyone feel as safe and cared-for as possible. The residents are well fed and catered for, with plenty of activities and visiting guests to keep them occupied during the week, and the rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily. We also thoroughly appreciate the central garden area, which is well-designed and maintained. When it came to deciding where to place Mum, the choice was easy, as we are totally confident that she is as safe as possible, and really well cared for.

Mum came to Danesbrook initially for respite but settled in extremely quickly, thanks to the very welcoming, caring and professional staff. Nothing was too much for her to feel at home. Her room is always kept immaculate and her care needs always receive prompt attention. Her social interaction has
benefited hugely and she enjoys the many activities/entertainment she shares with other residents. With only 25 residents, it has that home-from-home feeling. No restriction to visiting times is extremely helpful to families and staff are always approachable and helpful too. As a family, we know Mum is happy, safe and fed well at Danesbrook and it's lovely to see her being introduced to new skills and companionship.

My mum recently moved to Ael-y-Bryn on 14.7.25. She was very happy when she entered the home and was thrilled with her room. All the staff made us both feel very welcome and helped with her belongings. She has settled in very well and I'm able to call in and see her anytime which has made this first
week very easy as I've called in everyday. I can't thank the staff enough for all they do it gives me piece of mind that I know she's happy and well looked after.

My mother has resided in Danesbrook since April 2023.
She is very comfortable and happy, and feels secure. Catering is excellent with a good deal of variety to suit all tastes.
Danesbrook is excellently run, all the staff are approachable, friendly and professional.
There are plentiful well run
activities, you're encoraged to join in, although it's not compulsory to participate of you don't want to. Nobody is forced to do anything they don't want to...."it's their home"
