My mum is so happy in Danesbrook and the staff are absolutely amazing, nothing is too much trouble. So pleased that we found such a great home for mum.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write us such a lovely review. Mum has settled in very quickly and it is our pleasure to look after her. I will pass your kind words onto the rest of the team.
When mum was in her final months, the care home and all staff treated mum and all the family with quiet dignity and respect.
We are very grateful for all the care shown.
Thank you for your lovely words and taking the time to write us a review. I will pass your kind words onto the rest of the team.
Very well within a short time this is due to the extremely supportive environment at Danesbrook, the care home is small enough to feel like home and the staff work tirelessly to create a fantastic environment encouraging social activities and stimulation. All the rooms are spotlessly clean and look on to the enclosed garden. We couldn't have found a better place and their care provides both myself and my brother with peace of mind that mum
Is happy and cared for
It is truly our pleasure to look after mum as she is such a lovely person.
Welcomed by Jo, Hayley & Matthew to view mum's room which is very clean is absolutely perfect for her as she has a busy window of walkers with dogs and families daily. The staff are wonderful such kind caring beings who mum has chats and laughs with. The dining and living room area both bright and fantastic! I can't wait for the weather to get warmer to sit with mum in the garden her favourite place is beautiful and going to be a sun trap. We had lunch in a separate little dinning reading room the food better than mum ever cooked was delicious! My father heard stories saw pictures, happy mums enjoying her new home. Can't recommend this home enough, we love it there.
Thank you to each and every one of you looking after my mum X x x
Mum has landed! I smile every time I leave as she's happy there.
Its always lovely when you visit, and sharing a joke and laugh with you, is always a highlight. Roll on the spring, so we can get you and mum into the garden, which is a favourite for many a resident and their families.
My friend is settling down well at Danesbrook House and she seems very happy there. Whenever I visit (try to visit weekly) I have found all staff very welcoming and friendly. There is a cheerful caring atmosphere and it makes me feel reassured that my friend is being looked after well.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a lovely review. All the staff strive to make everyone feel welcome when they visit, so i will pass on your kind words to the team.
Very nice home, comfortable. Food is good. Staff very friendly and helpful. I like doing jigsaws, which is my hobby. I have been here a few weeks and am quite happy.
Its our pleasure to look after you, and we all cant resist helping you with the jigsaws whenever we pass by. Thank you fr taking the time to write us a review.
Overall very happy that my aunt is being treated and cared for very well at Danesbrook House.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. Your aunt is a pleasure to look after, she is a lovely kind lady. We always look forward to your visits as they make her so happy. See you soon.
My mum has been at Danesbrook for about 5 months now and has settled in really well. The house is always so clean and I am very impressed by all the activities they do to prevent people sitting in their chairs all day with the TV on. The staff are very friendly and kind and the garden is beautifully kept and a nice space to have. It is great to have the flexibility on visiting times and be included in some of the activities they put on. It is definitely a relief to find such a warm place where I know mum is well looked after and safe.
Thank you for your lovely words and taking the time to write us a review. We pride ourselves on the activities we provide as we truly believe that a stimulated mind is a healthy and happy mind. I will pass your kind words onto the rest of the team. See you when you next visit.
I have found the staff at Danesbrook House to be very friendly, courteous and helpful at all times. They have made sure my cousin has all her needs met, keeping her clean and tidy with dignity maintained. My cousin enjoys the food provided and mostly joins in with activities laid on. Her room is comfortable, clean with en suite. She has a lovely view of the well-kept garden from her window too. We are able to visit her at any time and always find a pleasant atmosphere.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a lovely review. We love looking after your cousin, she is a wonderful lady with such a kind heart. We look forward to seeing you when you next visit.
10 out of 10. Lovely and homely, not too many residents so everyone familiar, even for residents with dementia. Same staff rather than too many changes so excellent at understanding individual residents' needs. The residents are happy, content and a very calming environment.
Thank you for your lovely kind words, and for taking the time to write us a review. I will pass them on to the team who will really appreciate them.
There are lots of different activities for the residents to join in with, if they wish, such as gardening, cooking, music, birthday etc, which is great. Danesbrook use social media to keep family up to date with what's going on in the home. It is reassuring to see mum joining in and enjoying the activities.
Thank you for your kind words. We pride ourselves on the level of care we provide, so thank you, and I will let the rest of team know.
Mum has a lovely room which opens onto the garden and this garden area is a wonderful place for her to enjoy. There are activities that she can join in with if she chooses and all staff are very respectful towards mum.
Mum is very happy at Danesbrook and I feel she is safe, secure and well cared for. The staff are exceptional in the care they provide and they truly 'know' mum. This is what matters and reinforces my belief that she is in the best place.
Communication is good and we are contacted when there are any health issues or concerns. I highly recommend Danesbrook to others looking for a place where their loved one is cared for with understanding and kindness.
Thank you for your lovely words and taking the time to write us a review. I will let all the staff know your kind words. Its our pleasure to look after mum, who keeps us on our toes as you know. we look forward to seeing you when you next visit.
Mum has been at Danesbrook for about a year. We had checked out quite a few care homes in and around Cardiff, but the moment we walked into Danesbrook we were struck by what a loving and caring atmosphere the place has. This is clearly down to the staff and management, who all work so brilliantly as a team to make everyone feel as safe and cared-for as possible. The residents are well fed and catered for, with plenty of activities and visiting guests to keep them occupied during the week, and the rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily. We also thoroughly appreciate the central garden area, which is well-designed and maintained. When it came to deciding where to place Mum, the choice was easy, as we are totally confident that she is as safe as possible, and really well cared for.
Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to write such a lovely review. I will pass on your words to the rest of the team, as they will mean the world to them. We love having mum with us, and we are so happy that she is settled. We all look forward to seeing you when you visit.
Mum came to Danesbrook initially for respite but settled in extremely quickly, thanks to the very welcoming, caring and professional staff. Nothing was too much for her to feel at home. Her room is always kept immaculate and her care needs always receive prompt attention. Her social interaction has benefited hugely and she enjoys the many activities/entertainment she shares with other residents. With only 25 residents, it has that home-from-home feeling. No restriction to visiting times is extremely helpful to families and staff are always approachable and helpful too. As a family, we know Mum is happy, safe and fed well at Danesbrook and it's lovely to see her being introduced to new skills and companionship.
Thank you for taking the time to write a lovely review. Everyone loves mum, with her infectious smile and happy demeanor. It's also a pleasure to see you and your family when you visit.
Very happy with care received and the environment.
Its always nice to see you when you visit, and thank you for your kind words.
We have been very happy with the care my mum has received since moving into Danesbrook 4 weeks ago. She is much happier and healthier and the staff are incredibly patient and understanding of her dementia and memory issues.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a lovely review. Its our pleasure to look after mum as she is a lovely lady.
Thank you to everyone involved in Mum's care.
Thank you for a lovely review. It is truely our pleasure to look after mum, and its always lovely to see your close bond when you visit her. I will pass on your kind words to the team.
She is very comfortable and happy, and feels secure. Catering is excellent with a good deal of variety to suit all tastes.
Danesbrook is excellently run, all the staff are approachable, friendly and professional.
There are plentiful well run activities, you're encoraged to join in, although it's not compulsory to participate of you don't want to. Nobody is forced to do anything they don't want to...."it's their home"
Overall, delighted with all aspects of Danesbrook.
Thank you for your kind words. Mum is a pleasure to have at Danesbrook and it's always good to see you when you visit.
The staff and management are kind, caring and approachable, and I have seen how they treat the residents as individuals, according to their different needs and personalities.
Danesbrook provides a wide variety of activities, so there is something for everyone, and residents can join in, or not, as they choose. Coupled with the social interaction with other residents and staff, this has meant that my Mam has settled in quicker than I could have hoped for.
Danesbrook is clean and well maintained, with a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. They offer a varied menu throughout the week, with lots of tea, coffee and biscuits. The welcome also extends to visitors.
I live away, but have the peace of mind of knowing that my Mam is safe and happy, as that is exactly what I see when I visit each week.
Thank you for your lovely words it means a lot. It's always lovely to see you when you visit. I agree mum has settled in to our home really well.
I do not live nearby, but whenever I visit I always find the staff most friendly, kind and helpful. It is very reassuring to feel that my mum is being well looked after in a caring and well-organised environment.
Thank you. Its always a pleasure to see you when you visit, and we love how much mum gets involved in all the activities.
