Danesbrook House is a home away from home, offering a homely, clean and warm modern interior that is staffed by a team of friendly care professionals, which are all registered with Social Care Wales.

Danesbrook House carers fully understand residents personal requirements, and deliver person centred care, to help the residents enjoy personal freedoms, comfort and relaxation, while taking pride in high standards designed to achieve long-term health benefits.

The home and staff takes the security, health and nutrition of its residents very seriously, stands up for dignity, respect and privacy and is up-to-date with the challenges of looking after adults diagnosed with dementia.

In 2019, the home extended the dining room and main lounge areas, making them bright and airy, with two sets of double doors opening into the garden. This extension work also added two extra bedrooms, one of which has French doors leading to a small court yard and the other opening out directly into the garden. Seven other ground floor rooms are also overlooking the garden.

For the summer of 2022 the garden was transformed into a multi-purpose area that has a lawn surrounded by a tropical mixture of plants in raised beds, with built in sun seating and a lovely shaded area under the pergola. The garden also boasts a contemporary water feature and is framed with a levelled resin floor which makes it easily accessible by the residents and their families when visiting.

The new extension is wonderful! Lots of light and space. Very happy with the care Mum receives at Danesbrook House. Any issues are dealt with and discussed with family members. Staff treat Mum with dignity and respect, especially as she has dementia and cannot always express herself. Great to see activities
in the home daily and Mum is encouraged to join in when possible. She loves her food and cups of tea! A good relationship with all carers.

My Aunt lived at Danesbrook House and was very happy. She was cared for extremely well by all staff. She was always saying to me about the care she received and how amazing the food was. I would certainly recommend this dare home. It is a very caring home with a friendly atmosphere.

My nan has been a resident of Danesbrook for the past 8 years and recently celebrated her 105th birthday. The staff and residents of Danesbrook really made it a day to remember for both my nan and our family - they organised entertainment and a singer came in and had everyone engaged. My Nan at 105
was even up dancing (with the help of the staff) which was absolutely amazing to see. I visit my nan weekly and every time the staff, residents and most importantly my nan, are happy and content. The atmosphere is always so welcoming and caring, you really feel like they are part of our family. The staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels safe, secure and cared for which to me is wonderful. We, as a family, know our nan is safe and receiving genuine loving care and truly believe that our nan would not have lived to the amazing age of 105 without this care and commitment of the staff at Danesbrook. We truly are thankful to each and every one of them.

Danesbrook House provides the most excellent standard of care for my father. He is treated like a VIP and we were so fortunate to find this wonderful establishment with the completion of the new extension. The communal and dining areas provide the home comforts any child would want for their loved ones.
The staff are second to none, and we would highly recommend the home to anyone looking to find their parents the best living experience for their twilight years.

My mother was extremely anxious and unwell when she originally moved into Danesbrook House. The staff there have played a huge part in transforming her into a more content and happier person despite her underlying condition. They have taken the time to get to know her well and tailor her care to her
wishes and temperament. Her family could not ask for better care. My mother recognises Danesbrook House as her home and when I take her out for a day she is always very happy to return. This is a great endorsement to me and reflects the professionalism of the management and staff.

I cannot speak highly enough about Danesbrook House! Everything about the place is amazing! My mother in law has just flourished since moving in, she just looks so healthy and well, her room is gorgeous and cosy (more like a hotel room) and we were even able to have her own phone line fitted so she
can call the family whenever she feels like a chat.
The staff are so wonderful, they are like a second family to all of us, nothing is too much trouble and you can tell they all absolutely love their jobs.

My mum has been in Danesbrook House for over ten years. Since moving there in August 2009, she has flourished. The standard of care and the attitude of all of the staff and management are exceptional and we regard ourselves as very fortunate to have found such a lovely place for mum. It is also very

The home is light and very airy. This is important as my mother is registered sensory sight-impaired. All residents are able to sit at the table together for meals. There are three lounges as well as a separate dining room so plenty of space to be together or alone.
My mother is a day resident and
is always greeted by the words ' let's have a cup of tea and you can tell me about it'. Staff are very attentive and always have time. Plenty of activities too. It is the place, and I have visited many, that eventually I would be happy for my mother to stay.

Mum moved into Danesbrook House late 2016. From day one, she settled right in. Even with her dementia, she loved every minute with the other residents.
The staff became her family and she loved hearing all about their families, holidays and things they got up to on their days off.
The staff not only
looked after Mum, they also gave love and support to the family and we will never be able to thank them enough. I would recommend well. Yes, we have all put our names down for the future.

I provide an assortment of entertainment for our residents including daily exercise sessions, sing-a-longs, crafts, quizzes and much much more.
We also have outdoor entertainers come into the home ranging from singers to games afternoons.


I really feel part of this team and thoroughly enjoy working with my peers.
