Danesbrook House is a home away from home, offering a homely, clean and warm modern interior that is staffed by a team of friendly care professionals, which are all registered with Social Care Wales.

Danesbrook House carers fully understand residents personal requirements, and deliver person centred care, to help the residents enjoy personal freedoms, comfort and relaxation, while taking pride in high standards designed to achieve long-term health benefits.

The home and staff takes the security, health and nutrition of its residents very seriously, stands up for dignity, respect and privacy and is up-to-date with the challenges of looking after adults diagnosed with dementia.

In 2019, the home extended the dining room and main lounge areas, making them bright and airy, with two sets of double doors opening into the garden. This extension work also added two extra bedrooms, one of which has French doors leading to a small court yard and the other opening out directly into the garden. Seven other ground floor rooms are also overlooking the garden.

For the summer of 2022 the garden was transformed into a multi-purpose area that has a lawn surrounded by a tropical mixture of plants in raised beds, with built in sun seating and a lovely shaded area under the pergola. The garden also boasts a contemporary water feature and is framed with a levelled resin floor which makes it easily accessible by the residents and their families when visiting.

The staff at Danesbrook House are excellent. Very caring, attentive and looking after mum very well. She is very settled which puts my mind at rest. I would highly recommend the care home, they go above and beyond.

My mother was a resident at Danesbrook House for almost two years she passed away 4 weeks ago aged 98. I cannot thank Danescort for all the care that the staff gave her. It is a wonderful care home set in a beautiful garden. I would recommend the home to anyone. I will miss visiting.

My sister has been at Danesbrook House Care Home for two years and she loves it and feels the care couldn't be better. Because my sister has lots of foods she doesn't like, the cook goes through the menu plans for the week and discusses other options for the food she does like. The food my sister describes
as excellent. There are lots of activities arranged though my sister doesn't always take part as she likes to return to her room after lunch she's always encouraged to join in.

Mum came to Danesbrook House after moving from four different hospitals from a broken hip. I looked at quite a few care homes but Danesbrook House met her needs. My first impression when I went to visit was it was clean, calm and friendly. Residents look happy and contented. Mum has been there nearly
three months and has settled really well, enjoying the social interaction. The staff are kind, caring and friendly which has helped to settle her in. Nothing seems too much trouble and the management team too are approachable, very helpful and friendly. I know Mum has 24-hour care and most important, Mum is happy there.

I cannot praise the staff enough. They are always very friendly with visitors, offering tea and coffee. They treat my mother with dignity and respect.
The activities and food are very good too.

My mother was residing at Danesbrook House from January 2023 until August 2023. She was very happy there, the staff were kind, caring and well-trained and went above and beyond on many occasions to ensure that the residents were comfortable and felt loved. The management team were very approachable
and available. I was devastated when my mother had to transfer to another care home (because she needed nursing care). I wish that she could have stayed at Danesbrook House.

I always feel confident that my Dad is safe and looked after. All the staff interact with him as much as possible. They help him whenever he needs help and never make him feel he is a problem. I trust the staff to make decisions in dad's interests.

My mum was admitted to Daresbrook House in June. After visiting several other homes the family decided that Danesbrook House met with my mum's needs. The venue is smaller, it has fewer residents and displays a more intimate setting. A huge plus point would be the garden. It helps my mum enormously and
she loves tending to the many plants and flowers and also encourages her active exercise regime. All staff members appear caring, attentive and capable.

Home from home is apt. Staff friendly and professional. Food is presented well and is tasty. It is a safe environment for residents, the building is in good repair. Garden area is spacious and visitor friendly.

When my brother visited Danesbrook house before Mum became a resident, his words were 'It had a good feel'. Mum has been in Danesbrook House for 6 weeks and we are so pleased we chose this care home. She has settled in much better than we thought she would because of the wonderful, caring management

We were very unsure about this step but the staff made Mum so welcome and at home that she wanted to move in immediately. This feeling has been maintained, the staff are so lovely that she now has twenty-four-hour company. We are very happy as a family that our mum is happy.

Since my mother-in-law moved to Danesbrook House over 2 years ago she has benefited greatly from the excellent care she has received from the friendly and caring staff. Management of Danesbrook is efficient and any issues that arise are dealt with swiftly after having been discussed with family members.
Having a relatively small number of residents gives a homely atmosphere. The staff treat my mother-in-law with patience and respect which is especially important as she has dementia. She benefits from the social interaction when in the lounge but can retreat to her room to read her newspaper. She always appears enthusiastic when meal times come round. I would certainly recommend Danesbrook House.

Danesbrook provides excellent care to our mum. They provide good and clean facilities. They have done well during the pandemic, however, on occasions, small things have slipped e.g. Mum's hearing aids not in. Hopefully, as the Covid situation improves small things will improve.

It was a big step for my mother to move from her own home to Danesbrook three months ago but we are very happy with the care provided. Management is efficient and all the staff are responsive, caring and cheerful. We are very reassured that she is living in a safe but homely environment.

Since my mother was admitted to Danesbrook two years ago I have nothing but the highest praise for the way my mother has been looked after here in all aspects of her care. It made me realise how much better it is for her to be safe here rather than me travelling daily to see her and spend considerable

During this extremely difficult time, Mum's care has been exemplary. The staff are very kind and the home is extremely clean. Mum enjoys the activities. Overall, Mum is very happy here. Due to Covid, I am not able to see Mum's room, Mum says it's very cosy.
