Following a spell in hospital, mum was no longer able to continue living in her own house. The staff at Morningside Manor were fantastic about providing all the information we needed to get a room, even visiting her in hospital. Since moving to Morningside Manor, mum seems so much happier. The staff
are all very attentive and friendly. I wish we'd looked into this sooner.

I cannot conceive of a Carehome that could give better care to a loved one than that offered by Morningside Manor. They looked after my sister, Fadwa, in the last three months of her life with the greatest of expertise, empathy and dignity. When the time came, they facilitated a calm and painfree passing
with the greatest of care. Even in challenging circumstances, the professionalism and care they showed was above and beyond what we could have ever hoped. The staff are all experts in their field, always happy and smiling and really inspired confidence. Furthermore, they also take care of the needs of the family, leave a lasting impression in our hearts and a desire to maintain a connection. The home itself is beautifully appointed, bright and tastefully decorated with spacious en-suite rooms. It is spotlessly clean and secure. The gardens are beautiful and expertly cared for. I highly recommend Morningside Manor as the ideal place for your loved ones to see out their final days

Went for the wonderful Festive Tea with mum on Wednesday 10th. As always we've been blown away by the thought and effort that the staff put into the day. The room is very festive and attention to detail is superb. The food was delicious and we all had a fantastic time with mum. Thanks again to the amazing
staff for making the lunch magical. Happy Christmas.

My dear sister died peacefully at the end of November 2025 in Morningside Manor with her family around her.

From the moment we experienced this care home, it was clear that the staff genuinely care about the residents as individuals. They show remarkable patience, kindness, and humanity, particularly

when supporting challenging behaviour. The team will do everything possible for the residents, including advocating strongly to ensure that the best medical care is provided. The home is excellently managed, and families can have complete confidence that their loved ones are in safe, compassionate hands. I cannot recommend this home more highly. Spotlessly clean too.

Enjoyed a great afternoon tea with Helen a friend and work colleague . We have known each other for over 50 years and her daughter Carol is my Goddaughter. Carol was my flower girl in 1971. The chef prepared Lovely food which was a beautiful presentation and
staff, as always, very welcoming.

I

always enjoy my visits and often there is great entertainment in the lounge.

Dad is very well looked after by Thorburn Manor. He has a lovely room with a large window which suits dad as he spends most of his time in there. There is a large range of activities and entertainment for the residents and a beautiful festive tea in December. The staff treat dad with kindness and respect,
ensuring he is comfortable, well fed and hydrated. The home is always clean and very well maintained, beautifully decorated at certain times of year, to suit the occasion. They even organised a spectacular Diamond Anniversary party for mum and dad last year. Thank you, Thorburn Manor, dad and his family appreciate all you do.

I think that there is a high standard of care in this home, appears well-staffed and well-run, wide range of activities for residents to participate in, home is beautifully maintained & spotlessly clean. Staff are welcoming and approachable & have a good rapport with my father. He is very settled
and happy in the home.

Our family member over into Lorimer House in February 2025. Since then we have been so impressed with the unity of care and attention that is given every day. The level of kindness shown by the staff is exceptional.

Now today we are enjoying a festive tea in a private room organised by the staff

and on mum's 85th birthday . No surprise that the food is just superb and we're having a great time .

Thank you to all the staff for making this possible ....

Mum moved into the manor in April and the staff have made every effort to help her settle in and make a new life. All areas have been carefully considered from daily activities and entertainment to her special diet and nursing care when she needs it. Mum finds it difficult as a very private and independent
person to accept help from others but the staff at the Manor have been so kind and caring that she has grown very fond of them. She says things like "xxxx would give me the moon" (I've omitted the name as it would be unfair to name one person! If I started to name names it would be a long list of carers, nurses, chef and laundry staff)
As we go towards Christmas the manor have made so many plans to make the festive season special. Today we had a festive afternoon tea with mum. It was exceptional and very much appreciated as it's good to feel we are still making happy memories

The Lorimer house festive afternoon tea is just a wonderful occasion. Firstly the whole of the building is decorated seasonally inside and out I am also as always made to feel most welcome at the door. The tea itself is of such a high quality, I've said before, the food and presentation surpasses that
of any Edinburgh hotel. Lorimer, thank you for putting on such a Christmas treat. It's good to see the person I visit in another situation. The whole event is a huge credit to all involved. This is the best care home that I have experience of.

We joined Dad for a Festive Afternoon Tea and were given a very warm welcome at the door....as always! We were shown to the wee library where the table was set and ready for us. Afternoon Tea was wonderful! The staff popped in and out to check in with us and the food was fabulous! We thoroughly enjoyed
our time with Dad and he had a marvellous hour or so with us. Well done Thorburn!

I am confident in the care my Mum receives at TM.
Apart from the occasional communication slip up, the operation in excellent.
My Mums needs are well understood by staff she knows and who know her.

After 5.5 years stay in Lorimer, we are always very pleased with the care of our loved one . She is treated as a human, despite her dementia. She is always well presented in her own clothes.
If I eventually required residence in a care home I d be happy to be cared for in Lorimer .
