My dad passed away on the 14th of March this year, he was a resident for eight years at The Knells. First he was a resident with my mum, who died six years ago. My dad was 101 years old, in his time at The Kenlls he was treated with respect, dignity and love from the lasses! and the lads in all his
time there. He was as happy as he could be without my mum. His great age was celebrated many times with parties and cakes etc. I believe he lived so long due to being so well looked after at The Knells.

The Knells has 2 activity coordinators. Since they took up their roles in January 2025 the change in the residents well being has been amazing!
Every day there are 1 to 1 sessions with residents plus planned activities & entertainment throughout the day.
The activities are stimulating & enjoyable
& have improved the physical & mental welfare of the residents.
My mum is so much more engaged with others in the home & us when we visit.
It has transformed the home into a more relaxed happy place for visitors also.

The Knells is a lovely care home where every resident is viewed as an individual and treated with kindness, compassion and dignity. Cannot praise the staff highly enough - all go above and beyond. The activities' team is first class bringing endless cheer and laughter to their packed rota of events
designed to stimulate, entertain and help residents make the most of every day. Food at The knells is also great and plentiful and residents feel very at home here.

I am very pleased with the care my mother is receiving. She is very happy at The Knells with lots of interesting activities going on. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. She enjoys the meals and the staff make sure they have a varied choice of food according
to their tastes. She has a very comfortable room where she enjoys her privacy in the mornings. Then joins everyone for lunch and stays for the afternoon activities.
Visitors are also made very welcome.

My mother receives excellent care at the Knells . The carers are without exception attentive and look after her with humour and respect. at all times.

Very very happy with the care my Mother's has recieved since being in The Knells. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in the front door is Friendly and Homely. Truely one of the better homes. Thank you to everyone.

I would recommend this care provider for the following reasons. The home is so clean and tidy and does not smell of urine.
All the staff are friendly, kind, and supportive both to residents and family members.
They provide activities for the residents and fun days for occasions such as Christmas,
Valentine's day etc.
The kitchen staff provide nutritious meals and even fed relatives on Xmas day. They also make birthday cakes for residents. The care providers give families peace of mind that their loved ones are happy and well looked after 24/7.

Middleton Hall is a wonderful place for Mum to live; she is so well cared for in every respect. She is treated kindly and with compassion at all times. Staff provide a range of activities for residents to participate in if they wish to do so. The food is excellent and the place is spotlessly clean.
The family are always welcomed into the home and there is a lovely atmosphere when I visit Mum. Would highly recommend.

Middleton Hall Care Home well what can I say fabulous care staff who go above and beyond for every resident. The home is very clean, a friendly atmosphere, would highly recommend Middleton Hall Care Home. The staff show compassion towards residents respect their privacy and dignity towards residents.
There is always something going on and entertainers regularly. You wouldn't find a more caring team than the staff at Middleton Hall. Thanks to all staff keep up the good work you are doing.

My father has been in Middleton care, for just a year and throughout this time has been shown constant care and adapting as his needs change.
The staff continues to update me and my siblings on his needs and contact us if any worries.
Staff always seem cheerful even when challenges arise and continue

In my experience, Middleton Hall is a lovely care home. They get to know their residents and provide excellent care. The home is always welcoming and clean. The staff are amazing always taking the time to talk to both residents and visitors they are caring and always have a smile. The management are

The care is excellent, the carers are all very compassionate and understanding of our mother's needs and personality, treating her with dignity and respect. They always have a ready smile and are upbeat which helps to lift her spirits. The manager and all the staff are very warm and welcoming. The handyman
and cleaner who pop in to say hello and maybe share a joke perks her up. The food which she really enjoys is excellent both in quality and preparation. We cannot fault the care she is receiving in this lovely, warm, safe and friendly environment.

We honestly could not have picked a better home for Mum. Putting a loved one into care is not easy but everyone at the home has welcomed Mum with open arms and she's thriving in their care.
The staff are true professionals and genuinely care about the residents, and us as relatives.

you enough for the job you all do and the incredible piece of mind me and my sister have knowing that our lovely mum is in such brilliant caring hands.

My sister is a resident in Middleton Hall and I visit often. The home is always clean and there is a very homely feel. There is always something going on to keep residents motivated and there are frequent parties and entertainment. The staff are excellent and so is the food. Nothing is too much trouble
for them.

Middleton Hall Care home is so friendly, all the staff are always smiling and welcoming. My mum has been in the home for 13 years and has always been well looked after and treated like a family member. Any issues are dealt with immediately, especially regarding health. Mum has always been happy here
and I would not want her anywhere else. Since Horizon has taken over all the rooms have been decorated meaning it is even more homely.

My lovely mum spent the last 6 months of her life here and we couldn't have wished for better care for her, my sisters and I came in every day to see Mum and there were never any problems. The staff really do go above and beyond to ensure that the residents are happy and well cared for.

My mum came here for respite and ended up moving here, what a lovely place the staff are great they are so hard-working, and they are fantastic with my mum who thinks the world of them. They always have something on to entertain the residents and have great fundraisers to raise money so they can take
the residents on days out. Highly recommended.

Mum was placed at Middleton Hall in January 2024 initially for an assessment. The day after she arrived both my sister and I knew that Mum was going to be very happy there and we've never looked back. The care and attention that everyone receives is heartwarming. All the staff work hard whether it's
finding tempting things to encourage Mum to eat to making sure everyone is kept entertained in a safe environment and we are so grateful to have found this great place.

Well, what can we say? This is the best care home I’ve experienced! Spotless, fresh and clean. Amazing, caring, loving, professional, friendly staff and manager! The way they’ve looked after my aunt as though she was one of their own family. Open door policy. The manager is available without having
to make an appointment. I never saw a member of staff without a smile on their face! Great, happy atmosphere throughout. As a family, we would like to send a million thanks.
