Staff have been excellent, printed menu's we have read, very good. Our friend has been very well looked after and has showed much improvement during the course of this year. A very well run and caring Care Home.

It is a clean homely environment and I would recommend the home to others. 10/10 all around.

My experience of Appleby Grange Nursing Home is that it's a very happy place to be in, but with very professional and caring team. I am so pleased to have picked this home for my partner, it can't be improved from what I have seen so far. Well done to everyone concerned, you should all be very proud.

My mother in law has lived at Doddlespoole hall since May 2025 and we could not of wished for a better place for her to be. All staff are amazing, so attentive and supportive, nothing is too much trouble. The home has a fantastic manager, who is always doing whatever she can to enhance the lives of the residents. There are always activities for the residents to do and parties are always a time for everyone to get together. Doddlespoole has such a lovely family feeling.

One of the many attributes of the home is that the people employed by yourselves show an incredible level of true. Care It shows every day in their faces, actions , attitudes and general demeanour. Nothing is too much trouble and one is kept fully informed of actions good bad or humerus with regard to my mum We don't worry about her to the extent as a family we did in the past A big Thank You to all the staff employed at Doddlespool Especially the ones not in the front line .

Our parents have been resident at Doddlespool for around 18 months and the care they've received throughout this time has been exemplary. There are daily activities for residents, the food is cooked on-site and varied, the home is well-managed and staff are caring and professional. We, as a family, are happy and so are our parents. Keep up the good work!

This home is fantastic they look after there residents so well I would highly recommend this home to anyone. The staff do a fantastic job and always smiling when I go see mum. They always offer tea and biscuits.

My friend went into Doddlespool Hall for respite. I visited her and was delightful to see the improvement in her condition and the care she was having from all the friendly staff. The home was spotless and the food was excellent.

I came to Doddlespool Hall for 2 weeks post-op respite after an operation. All the staff were caring and professional. Good-sized rooms, bathrooms functional, home nice and warm. Privacy respected. I was able to look after myself. Meals good choices. I enjoyed walking in the garden.

My husband moved to Appleby Grange in April 2025 to be closer to myself and the family. My husband suffered with advanced Alzheimer's and we were a little worried that moving him at this stage would have a negative affect on his health. We need not have worried as the Appleby Grange family welcomed my husband and our family with open arms and cared for my husband with care and compassion. The staff at Appleby Grange showed great respect and cared for my husband in a professional and loving way reassuring us all at every step that this was my husband and our second home and that we were welcome at any time to visit my husband. Sadly our beloved passed away on the 23rd May and the manager and all the staff made sure that my husband's last days were filled with friendship and love, all his favourite music and professional care. Our grateful and heartfelt thanks to manager and all the Appleby Grange family. We will never forget what you did for us all.

Our only minor crisis is the decor. It is a little shabby and the colours are drab; some brighter shades might be considered.

Early days but so far so good, food very good, attention to dietry needs very good, staff on the whole are on the ball. The outside terrace area needs more attention, (cigarette ends, litter. etc)

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The home is very clean and the patients are well cared for.

Been to family day today which was a lovely experience with excellent food and entertainment. Overall dad is happy in Appleby Grange and well cared for, the staff give that little bit extra to make residents feel at home.

It's a real lovely home with a lot of patient caring people involved in the home. We are very fortunate to have been lucky enough to have my granddad welcomed and cared for in this home. There is always events on, the amount of care the staff give to the people is brilliant. Genuinely a beautiful home with beautiful people in it.

My dad is treated with dignity and respect. The staff are all very caring and do a great job. The home is always trying to put on activities to keep the residents entertained.
