I am always made welcome but staff continue to focus their attention on caring for the residents. This is as it should be.
My mother is clean and her hair is always combed and clipped back nicely.
When my mother had a fall she was appropriately cared for whilst awaiting the paramedics and on her return
from hospital. Thank you.
It was lovely to visit the café and to see Mum welcomed there by a member of staff who not only remembered her name, but how she liked her coffee.
Reply from Supriya Sunder, Marketing Lead at Ellwood Place Dementia Care Home

Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We are delighted to hear that you feel welcome during your visits and that your mother is receiving the attentive care she deserves. It is reassuring to know that she is well looked after, from her personal grooming to the support she received after her fall. We are also glad you had a positive experience in the caf and that our staff remembered both your mother and her preferences-these small touches can mean a lot. Your words are truly appreciated and will be shared with the team.

My mother spent 5 years in the care of the staff at Elwood Place, Ifield Park, Crawley.

During her long stay the staff worked tirelessly to help her with those aspects of her life that she needed assistance with. In addition to her physical needs, time was spent ensuring that she was mentally stimulated

through various activities and the carers psyience and general interaction. As her dementia worsened, she needed more time and care which was always given with empathy, understanding and patience.

The atmosphere of the home was that of 'a family'
and it was of great comfort to us as her immediately family that we could relax in the knowledge that she was professionaly cared for.

My relative has been a resident at Ellwood Place for16 months and is very happy there. She is very well cared for and always clean and nicely dressed.
The staff are very caring and attentive to all the residents.
Over the last year, Ellwood Place has undergone a great refurbishment in the living
areas and has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard making it a very relaxing and comfortable place for the residents and visitors too.
When we visit we are always made very welcome and offered refreshment and the staff always ensure that we are able to have a comfortable area to sit with our relative for the visit .

I am very pleased with all staff in Ellwood especially permanent Senior Carer who know residents very well and Deputy Manager who been here for a year. The place run sooth, with nice calm atmosphere, could not find better place for my mum as Ellwood place. Lady Senior carer and Man Deputy manager run
that place i will say to outstanding standard of care. My mum wasn't long there but long enough to see warmness, calmness, compassion and homely atmosphere. When mum was on EOL they always fins time to come to her room and spend time with her even if was so busy they always been there with us, support my mum emotionally but also myself and my sister, we build so good relationship with staff but especially with Senior carer and deputy manager, as those 2 you will see them all the time and they are very easy to talk and give correct advice.

My mothers care has been very good, the staff have been very supportive kind with mum and myself. I felt very supportive in mums final days and throughout her stay. Mum enjoyed the entertainment/activities and if there was something that could be worked on I'd say activities at the weekend. Would recommend

The carers are always cheerful and attentive to the residents. Mum is cared for well and is clean and tidy. If any issues arise, one of the seniors contacts me to keep me updated and explain the situation in a clear manner, but always with thought to the interests of both the resident and her family.
I have the freedom to visit Mum at any time or to phone and get an update about her at any time.
I am very happy with delegating my mum's care to Ellwood Place.

Have not had many problems - my only concern is some of my friend's clothes seem to go missing - he wears items that are not his - clothes are kept clean by laundry. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. Some days are not good for visiting. Soft menu food does not seem to vary - can be boring.
My friend is happy there - it is hard to get to as I don't drive and am disabled myself - can only visit every other week. Covid regulations have been well maintained.
Reply from Tanya Surtees, HR Administrator at Woodroffe Benton House

Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it. We are pleased that your friend is happy at Ifield Park. We are sorry to hear that you have concerns your friend is wearing clothing not belonging to him and his clothes are going missing. We have looked into this, as we were not aware of your concerns prior to this review. All our residents' clothing is clearly labelled, and we take considerable care to ensure they have their own items of clothing only. Your friend accepted the offer of some donated clothing and we believe that these are the clothes that you are referring to. Your friend has full capacity and can make decisions regarding this. I hope this alleviates your concerns. All our menus change with the seasons and are nutritious and well-balanced. We have options that our residents can choose from daily and encourage them to choose a variety. If you have any further concerns, please speak with a member of staff during your visit and they will look into them immediately.

Ifield Park Care Home (Woodroffe Benton House) have supported, reassured and cared for my mother over the last two years. The frightening transition of losing her memory has been kindly supported. The Covid-19 experience facilitated visiting when possible and recognised the benefit of familial social
interaction to individuals with memory impairment. The staff are kind, caring and positive in their behaviour. I have been very impressed with their care of my mother.
