My wife has been at Barham for nearly six years. For me in the whole of that time there is no equal to Barham. It is such a very special place.The care and love she receives is beyond outstanding. The care, skill, dedication and patience of every single member of the team is of the highest standard. They have my utmost admiration and respect. I am always singing the praises of Barham to the relevant local community. To visit Barham is always a joy and pleasure so very warm and welcoming. When I first went to Barham to enquire it was during lock down so I could not be shown around. However just going to reception to ask for a brochure I immediately knew it was the place I wanted my wife to be and that view has not changed one bit in six years. Thank you Barham is not enough!

My dad moved in the home a week and a half ago. Rooms are a great size with ensuite . Tv in room . Very spacious place for my dad to walk round. His settling in nicely got a smile on his face , even talking more when we visit him. The cares are very nice, they do lots of activities with him.

After spending 6 weeks in hospital prior to going to the care home, dad was very poorly. Walking in today, March 3rd dad is sitting up in the lounge area in a lovely, comfortable chair. He has eaten well since he has been here, which is great. Looking so much better, it's a joy to see. Manager very approachable and cheerful.

They always treat my husband with great care & respect.

My husband has resided at Baylham Care Home for two years. We are always welcomed when my sons and I visit. The staff are dedicated to keeping the residents safe and well cared for. The food at Baylham is excellent all cooked in their kitchens. A recent Valentine's coffee morning was enjoyed by both visitors and residents down to the huge effort by the staff. We look forward to Baylhams finding the resources once again to take residents for trips out. This has sadly been missing for the last year.

General all areas need improvement, plesed with food, the older members of staff are brilliant, but have noticed over the last month some younger staff are better. Activities have improved slightly. The home needs a working minibus so that it can take residents out, been promised this for the last 4 years, still nothing done all down to mangment. Hope I see improvement in the coming months & a minibus.

As a family we've enjoyed a wonderful morning with mum and her new care home family. All the staff have worked so hard to put on a lovely party that we've thoroughly enjoyed. How nice it's been to enjoy everyone's company. Thank you so much for all your efforts and for making us feel so welcome. The chef has done a brilliant job as always too!!

All staff where very friendly. As my sister hasn't been here long can't answer for everything. All the staff I spoke with were really helpfull and informative. I found the centre really clean. All the staff took time to speak to us and inform us as to what goes on. Her room is really nice and clean. They have put my mind at rest over a few things which was good.

The big problem I have is with the financial department ,They do not pick up the phone or reply to your email .It would be nice to have a brake down of invoice ,When Nelson was there I felt it ran better

We have always been happy with my husbands care at Barham. The staff are so kind to my husband Robi. The food is amazing, and the rooms are bright & cheerful. its good for dementia to have lovely colours. The entertainment is god but need more live music please. The laundry staff are amazing for the hard job they do.

My brother has been in baylham for over 9 years. He was only 61 when he became a resident due to a brain haemorrhage. We have always been happy with his care , more so he has been as happy as can be going into a home. The only issue we've had is lack of telephone connection to his room not being connected , which has been like that for over a year, numerous calls and e.mails have had no effect, my mum liked to talk to my brother in between visits and special occasions. I was shocked to receive an e.mail about the ccq inspection and their findings, as my brothers care has always been outstanding, so I felt I had to do a review. Well done to all staff who care so well for him, thank you from all his family.

One thing that I find upsetting is the difficulties I have getting in contact with someone at the home for updates about my wife. I am not contacted when she is unwell at times, I find out when I visit the home. They did inform me when she went into hospital. I am concerned that her fingernails are not always cared for. The chiropodist does her toenails. Also I pay for her hair but this is not being done as regularly as needed.

Dad had been in the care home for six months. The staff were excellent and he was given the best care he could have asked for. It is like extended family. Lots of activities to take part in if he chose to and a couple of trips to Needham Lake. When Dad passed away, he was treated with dignity and the staff were very respectful.

Barham Care Centre has caring and engaging staff who cannot do enough to help and look after the residents. There is a lovely, relaxed and happy atmosphere and all the staff are really professional and so hardworking. We really couldn't fault this care home for our family member and we, as well as our family member, are treated with kindness and respect always. The carers never know when we are visiting and it is always the same lovely, calm atmosphere.

My husband received excellent care during the two years that he was a resident at Baylham Care Centre. The staff are very caring, supportive and skilled in looking after residents who may have challenging behaviour. The Physiotherapy and Activities teams are first-class and ensure that an individual's needs are catered for. The trips out in the mini-bus are especially welcome. The manageress is very approachable and is working hard to maintain high standards. There is a friendly atmosphere in the Home and relatives receive a warm welcome when visiting and any concerns they may have are dealt with promptly and efficiently. Baylham Care Centre is a very special place.

My friend is in Baylham Care Centre, Ipswich. What a fabulous place, the care is amazing. The staff know exactly what they need to do to help the residents. Activities, singing. Excellent place, thank you for looking after my friend so well.

The physiotherapy team worked miracles - their humour, knowledge, expertise and positive approach ensured mobility way beyond our expectations and we can't thank them enough. The new manager was attentive and responsive, working hard behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. The care and admin staff were friendly, encouraging and patient. Thank you.

What a relief to know there’s a home from home at Baylham.

Safe and functional and adequate. No non-essential frills and great value for our private money.
