We looked at a few homes before we were lucky enough to find well springs which was by far the best we'd seen. My dad was very unwell when he went there , I was told he had only few months to live yet he was still there nearly 5 years later ! The care and love shown to him there was brilliant and made
me feel a lot better about him having to be in a home . All the staff seem to go that little bit further and dad loved the attention he got . He was treated with respect and dignity. Anyone looking for a care home could not hope to find a better one to take care of their loved one
Reply from Ben Redhead, Managing Director at Well Springs Nursing HomeThank you! Your review is wonderful and we all truly miss your dad. When someone is here for 5 years it feels incredibly different without them around. I use to love our chats in the corridor and he'd often be singing and always in the jovial mood we'd all come to love. He really was a total gentleman in all sense of the word. Thank you for your support as a family. We loved that you could still take him to the coast for the odd weekend. We know how much this meant to him. Once again, thanks for taking the time to leave this review and sharing your experience of what Well Springs is like.

From our very first contact with Well Springs our experience has been excellent. Mum arrived from hospital in a very frail condition and has been treated with care, warmth and kindness by every member of staff. Although still frail her condition has greatly improved, all due to the excellent care she
is receiving. Mum is happy and settled in the home and, as a family, we feel reassured that Well Springs is a fantastic home and the best place for her to be.
Reply from Ben Redhead, Managing Director at Well Springs Nursing HomeThank you for such a lovely review. We are thankful you chose Well Springs for your mum as we know what level of care we can offer to those who need to move in to a nursing home. I am so glad you feel that reassurance that we want for all families of loved ones here at Well Springs. It can be such a tough time choosing a care home when you only want the best for your family member. Thank you again for taking the time to leave this review.

Mum moved in to Well Springs for what turned out to be the last 12 months of her long and happy life and the care Mum received could not have been kinder or better.

Mum was wheelchair bound and suffering from Parkinsons, but nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Well Springs is very well resourced

with motivated and well trained staff and this shines through in the care they provide.

It was a huge comfort towards the end to know Mum was surrounded by people who genuinely cared about her welfare, comfort and dignity.

Based on our experience and having had experience of other Nursing Homes, I would not hesitate to recommend Well Springs to anyone looking to provide care for their loved ones.

Reply from Ben Redhead, Managing Director at Well Springs Nursing HomeThank you for these kind comments and taking the time to leave the review. We were privileged to care for your mum. Finding the right home is very tough and I remember from our conversations that it was a hard decision to move mum from her previous home. I am thankful you felt it was the right decision as I knew we could care for your mum the way she truly deserved. Often people settle for "OK" homes thinking all are the same and not realising some homes do truly try their hardest to go that extra mile. Thank you once again for putting your trust in us to get things right for your amazing mum. We loved the time we had with her.

From the very first day of mums arrival the staff were professional, yet welcoming. The staff from management to maintenance are polite, knowledgeable and could not do enough for my mums comfort and wellbeing. They also kept family members well informed of the situation with my mum. I felt that the
staff treated their employment more like a vocation rather than just a job. I honestly do not have anything negative to say.
I would highly recommend Well Springs Nursing Home to anyone who wants to be reassured that their loved one is being well cared for and respected for the individual they are.
I also thank them sincerely for the empathy shown to myself, family and friends who visited my mum during her last day with us. As said previously this care home goes above and beyond if they can.
Reply from Ben Redhead, Managing Director at Well Springs Nursing HomeThank you for your lovely review and thank you for choosing Well Springs. It was our pleasure to care for your mum and for us to get to meet your family. A lot of our staff have been with us for many years with a third of our workforce having been with us over 10 years. Whilst we won't always get things right, we have many staff who truly love what they do so always try to make sure people get the care they deserve. I personally feel privileged to work with so many like-minded people who do truly care. Thanks again for your review!

My mum went into Well Springs Nursing Home just over a year ago. From her very first day she has been treated with care, compassion and lots of love. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and even though they are all very busy, they still have time to chat with the residents and their families.
The home is bright, clean and has a lovely atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door. It feels like you are part of a big happy family! The range of daily activities offered are good and are enjoyed by the residents. Families are encouraged to join in too! The gardens are well maintained, with seating areas and a lovely pond to enjoy.

Thank you to everyone at Well Springs for all you do. It is very reassuring that when I leave I know mum is in the best place possible.

Reply from Ben Redhead, Managing Director at Well Springs Nursing HomeThank you for your review. I always remember our first conversation when your family were keen to find a better alternative to your mum's previous home. How families feel at times when they cannot visit is often a true barometer of the trust that can be built when loved ones come into good care homes. Care homes should be a loving environment, and do everything in their power to celebrate and empower people who reside there. Thank you once again for taking the time to write this review. Mum moved to wells springs in Oct 2024 since her move she has improved in all aspects of life considering her frail condition I credit this to the whole team at Well springs who look after her in a magnificent way, all staff are friendly courteous, polite and very professional.
The home is well staffed
, well appointed, has great activities for residents who are encouraged to take part, food is good , ice cream van comes, entertainers come, has well tended gardens, mum is very happy with her room, clothes always cleaned and ironed, and every aspect of been resident there
So im elated at my choice for mum to make the most of what precious time is left in the best possible way
Keep up the good work all at well springs you do a tremendous job of which we as a family could not thank you enough

My wife's mother had a spell in several homes, but Well Springs Nursing Home was the best by far - an excellent place that truly stands out for its high standard of care and genuine compassion. We found the surroundings peaceful, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to provide a calm and pleasant
environment for residents and visitors alike.
What really makes Well Springs special is the management and staff. They are not only professional and attentive but genuinely kind-hearted. Every member of the team treat my mother-in-law with dignity and respect, and met her needs with patience and understanding.
It's clear that this is more than just a place to live-it's a community where residents feel safe, valued, and cared for.
I would highly recommend Well Springs to anyone looking for a nursing home where quality care and human kindness go hand in hand.

Well Springs is a gem of a nursing home. The atmosphere is one of genuine community. As I pushed mum's wheelchair around the grounds last weekend (mum loves to look at the flowers and the birds), residents waved and staff beckoned to join them on the terrace for an ice lolly. Mum and I have spent a
life-time taking care of one another. At nearly 92, after a stroke on top of dementia, we could no longer do this alone. Being there, for the both of us, is like having an extended family around us everyday. In choosing Well Springs, I know in my heart that mum is in the best of all places. Thank-you Well Springs staff. You're awesome!
Reply from Ben Redhead, Managing Director at Well Springs Nursing HomeThank you for this review and trusting us to care for your mum the way she deserves. She is a lovely lady and we are so lucky to be able to help her in her time of need. I know your mum means everything to you and this is why this review speaks volumes. We often get the "extended family" comment and this is because we have such great staff tenure and retention that it is the same people, day in, day out that get to build and harness those relationships. So many of our staff truly love their job! This inevitably has a positive impact on the care we can provide at Well Springs. Thank you for your review. I will share it with the team.

My Granny moved to Well Springs from an alternative care home last year. I was so impressed from the initial visit and can honestly say it's the best move we have made. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. Communication from the Management, in terms of what's going on in the home is regular and
much appreciated. All the staff really do go that extra mile, for not only my Granny but all the residents. It feels very much like a family environment, I've got to to know so many of the residents and staff too which is lovely. They have a monthly activity board with a variety of different activities and great that as a family we can join in and be involved in too! The home itself is in lovely grounds where you can take your loved one outside, it's very modern, clean and well maintained. It's really comforting knowing I can leave the home after a visit and know that she is happy and most importantly well looked after and safe. I would highly recommend Well Springs.

Well Springs Nursing Home is exceptional and quite unique. When looking for a home for our mother we wanted the best possible care in a pleasant, stimulating and homely environment. The care given to all residents at Well Springs is outstanding and quite inspirational. Nothing is too much trouble and
all staff are deeply committed to each resident's individual needs and wishes. The ethos and culture of the residents being at the heart of everything they do pertains to all staff - management, nursing, care, cleaning, catering, maintenance. Well Springs is situated in beautiful gardens and is very peaceful. The interiors are more like those of a hotel than a nursing home! I cannot thank them enough for all they are doing for my mother to ensure she is happy, contented and well cared for. The progress she has made since her arrival has been amazing and far beyond what we could have hoped. This is all down to the care and environment at Well Springs - well done and thank you, to you all!
Reply from Ben Redhead, Managing Director at Well Springs Nursing HomeWe really appreciate the lovely review. Thank you so much. "Exceptional and quite unique" is a wonderful description as I would say it perfectly captures the approach of a lot of the staff who love what they do here. We have loved the last 9 months of looking after your mum. She is a bundle of positivity and I believe that's played a huge part in her progress. She amazed me when I saw her back on her feet for the first time with us. Her wink to me when i shared my disbelief summed her up perfectly. Well Springs Nursing Home has been a beacon of excellence over the past year for my father and our family. The staff's personal, person-centered approach to care ensures people feel valued and supported. This nurturing environment fosters a sense of community and belonging, significantly enriching my
father's quality of life. I can fully appreciate why Well Springs is rated 'Outstanding' in 'caring' by the Care Quality Commission as they truly set the standard for exceptional care.

Well Springs is a fantastic Nursing Home. All the staff are very kind, compassionate, caring and went out of their way to accommodate my Mum's needs. Mum felt loved and very safe there. She went in during COVID, in the first lockdown, when we couldn't look round or settle her in, but we didn't need
to worry, they became her family, when we couldn't visit, they were very strange times, but I can't praise all the staff enough, the carers, nurses, catering, cleaning, admin staff, are all amazing. Mum was there 4 years and the care she received was the best. They were always there for us too, nothing was too much trouble. The care she received at the end still pulls at my heart, they were all amazing. This is a family run Nursing Home and everyone is treated like family, you will not be disappointed choosing this home for your loved one.

If anyone ever asks me to recommend a nursing home my answer would be definitely Well Springs. Initially, my parents went in for respite due to my dad's illness & then they became residents. Sadly my dad passed but my wonderful mum is still there. As a couple they had a twin room, which was so lovely
& other nursing homes do not provide this facility. But more than that, the staff, carers & nurses have provided us as a family with not just care but love. They even allowed me to stay for 7 nights to be close to them when Dad was very poorly & I felt honoured to be there when he passed peacefully in the knowledge that he truly had been cared for so well. Mum & I consider the team a second family to us & Mum wanted to stay to be cared for in such a wonderful, friendly, professional, caring home. Nothing is too much trouble & you really do feel the love. 10 out of 10 you can feel the warmth when you come through the door & everyone with a smile. Just first class.
Reply from Ben Redhead, Managing Director at Well Springs Nursing HomeIt was our true pleasure to care for your dad when he needed us most. Thankfully your mum had time to build up the trust with all of us and this has undoubtedly helped her during this difficult time. Your parents were a perfect picture of a long and happy marriage, and seeing them together was always great fun and a privilege. Thank you for this review. You didn't have to leave one as we know how much you love what we do here and you are never shy to tell us! We will continue to work hard to make your mum smile as often as possible, and to ensure she feels the warmth and love our team have in abundance.

We will be eternally grateful for the care and compassion our mum received from everyone at Well Springs. From our initial enquiry to Mum's final days as a resident, the help and support received was amazing. The facilities and surroundings are of a very high standard but it is the staff who work there
that make Well Springs a very special place. They worked tirelessly to ensure our mum's needs, which were sometimes complex but which they knew very well, were well catered for and they always went above and beyond. There is a true feeling of family amongst staff and towards all residents and the relationships are built on genuine care and love. Mum never wanted to leave her own home but if anywhere could have been a home-from-home then it was Well Springs. The feeling of family extends to visitors too. We as a family got to know the staff really well and their support and friendship will never be forgotten.
Reply from Ben Redhead, Managing Director at Well Springs Nursing HomeThank you for the review. We did love caring for your mum. She was a very special person! The one thing that sets us apart from most care homes is the drive to recruit people who will buy into what we do and avoid agency use. The copious numbers of staff who have been with us for decades, help shape new starters. Our firm belief is, to treat staff as well as possible so they can enjoy their job, and give them the tools to deliver truly authentic care. Your lovely review is something I will share with the whole team and thank you once again for allowing us to care for your beautiful mum.

We were despairing of finding a good home for our mum, whose condition is not easy and put off the few reasonably good homes we found in our locality. Such a relief to find Well Springs, who were very positive, accommodating, sensitive, knowledgeable and professional from the outset. Well Springs is
far and above the other homes we viewed. The environment is very pleasant. The staff have taken our mum's condition in their stride and done a great deal to make her comfortable and happy. I didn't really understand what caring truly meant until I saw the gentleness, courtesy and good humour of the whole Well Springs team. It's a pleasure to visit and I know my mum is treasured and well cared for. I feel very welcome and cared for too. It was hard to hand over my mum's care to others after caring for her myself for a long time, but Well Springs has put my mind at ease. Highly recommended.

My grandma stayed at Well Springs from July 2020 (following a brief stay at another home which had proven to be inadequate) until she died in January 2024, aged 99. When my grandma arrived there, we felt that we'd been very fortunate to find Well Springs. The response from the management at the time
was extremely reassuring, especially in the context of the COVID pandemic and our recent experience with the other home. That feeling never changed because our initial impression of Well Springs was repeatedly reinforced over the years by the excellent care that my grandma received, notwithstanding the difficult circumstances, and the support that we received as her family. The staff are all kind, friendly, attentive and hard-working. The building is clean and well-maintained. The food and facilities are excellent. The management are committed and capable. I don't think my grandma could have been in better hands. My family and I are very grateful.

Well Springs Nursing Home has done a great job integrating my mother into the care home after being diagnosed with Dementia. Staff go out of their way to try and understand my mother's state of mind on any given day and have learned how best to approach her and look after her depending on her mood.
Staff
have also gone above and beyond when my mother fell during the night; staff were quick to attend and whisked her off to A & E with a broken shoulder. Staff stayed in attendance throughout the hospital visit despite it taking 15 hours to get appropriate treatment and subsequent discharge. As a family, we would not be able to cope with our mother's mental, emotional and physical needs and the staff at Well Springs are highly engaged with us and our mother throughout. Highly recommended.

The Well Springs team provide first-class care, support and friendship to residents and their families. It is so reassuring to me to know that my mum lives happily at Well Springs and is safe and so well looked after. Thank you all.

What can I say, my husband was 65 when he was diagnosed with PSP which stands for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (it takes away anything the body does automatically).
There is no cure for this, it's about palliative care. His legs were the first to go, then his speech became quiet and slow. Once he
was no longer able to walk we started to look at nursing homes. As we lived in Clayton there was a place he went to but could not settle so I began to look for somewhere. Someone recommended Well Springs. I rang them and after 2 weeks my husband moved into his new place. He settled in very well. It really was like home from home, the staff are outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, the food is delicious and often they would ask if I wanted some too.
My husband passed away on the 20th May 2023. Staff came to the funeral which was really nice. The donations I got an arbour seat and plaque for the gardens at Well Springs. If I ever need a home I would check myself into Well Springs. 5-star accommodation.
Reply from Ben Redhead, Managing Director at Well Springs Nursing HomeIt truly was our privilege to look after your husband. I was moved to hear the recordings you had put together of when he used to sing at home. It was lovely to see his face light up when we all listened to these together. Thank you for trusting us to care for him. The bench is beautiful and a lovely spot for all of us to sit and remember him. Thank you for this lovely review. We know we will see you again soon at future Well Springs events!
