Personal care is good from most of the staff and the food is of a high quality. However the wellbeing/activities fall short for may of the residents especially the younger residents. It's fine if you're one of the residents that can join in the main activities but if not, there is next to no wellbeing
and you're just left to sit/sleep all day. From what I can see, there are no attempts to get the younger fitter residents outside to help them maintain their physical fitness

My dad has been a resident a Vida Court for around 18 months now, and we couln't be happier with it. Everybody that works there from reception to carers to cleaners and kitchen staff are all so kind and friendly, it really made a difficult transition much easier. I have nothing but praise for Vida Court,
we're very lucky to have found such a lovely place for my dad to be cared for.

All staff are friendly and try to help with any queries. Good variety of entertainment, with carers trying to encourage residents to join in. Plenty of smiling faces. Carers are willing to communicate with you and help in all areas. They interact with residents in a good manner.
Reception staff are
very helpful and can usually answer a question, without reference to anyone else. They keep the reception area and self service kitchen area clean and stocked up. It has an uplifting feeling, despite the circumstances.

Having never previously been at risk of falls it was during my fathers most vulnerable palliative care stage that he suffered six falls all within an eight week period. Although four Managers were aware and had acknowledged our distress 'via email' no meeting was held and no reasonable adjustments were
implemented to ensure his safety. We also found that not all Staff here are competent. A unidentified injury was raised with safeguard, cctv footage was allowed to erase despite my concern and I never received any internal investigation outcome. Monumental failings!
I felt pressured by managers to move him to a different house which would have undoubtably caused him distress. I refused. We received no support at all throughout this very difficult time. As his final fall was on the morning he passed he was failed to the very end. I wasn't even asked about our wishes and preferences for his end of life care. What an extremely poor standard of care this was. Outstanding!. I think not.

My dad has been a resident on Regent house at Vida Grange for almost 3 years. The care given to him by all staff at Vida Grange is of the highest standard. The staff on Regent are amazing and nothing is ever too much trouble. My dad is in the best place possible and I would highly recommend Vida Grange
to anyone looking for specialist dementia care.

My husband has been living in Vida Hall for nearly a year. He received a lovely warm reception on admission and I was treated exactly the same. Throughout his time here my husband has been treated with the highest respect and courtesy and the caring staff seem to be genuinely fond of him. He is always
allowed his rights to choice, dignity and privacy and is encouraged to have social connection with other patients as well as staff on a daily basis which helps to stimulate him and avoid isolation. The level of care is extremely high and is done with tenderness and understanding. As a regular visitor, I am always welcomed by a friendly staff member and offered a drink which is so very welcome after a long journey and they always make time to have a few words with me which I appreciate during this difficult time. Despite the distance from home I would not wish for my husband to be anywhere else, Vida Hall is outstandingly good.

We have had really good feelings about our family member being a resident in your care but over recent months have encountered some very confusing conflicting information about their dementia journey as it seems to be coming to the later stages it's not good .. as we have to pass on information to
family members who have chosen not to visit this can sometimes be quite stressful ..

My husband came to Vida Grange in November 2025, I am so happy with the way all the staff are with Peter and myself. He settled in very quickly and started to put on weight. The food,he thoroughly enjoys his meals and the snacks available for him. The well being team are all so kind, caring and mindful
of his needs. As soon as I enter the building I am always greeted with a friendly face and smile. So welcoming in so many ways. The whole team on Harlow Carr House are amazing in every way so thankful for everyone involved in my husband's care.

My mum has severe dementia and having entered a care home in August I and the healthcare advisers felt she required a more specialised Dementia home. She moved to Vida Grange Crimple Valley house in October and they have been fantastic. The calm and relaxing vibe really has helped and the staff are so
loving giving hugs all the time and reassurance, with something to join in with if she wants to most days,a lovely cafe room we can sit in and it feels like we are out for coffee and cake in a coffee shop, great idea. She has become more relaxed and settled and is getting super care I am very pleased I chose them.Excellent all round.

My lovely wife of almost sixty years was diagnosed with Alzheimer's dementia in September 2020. I nursed her through covid19. She went into the care home system in October 2021. It was a difficult time for both of us.
In January 2024, I set myself a goal to get my wife a placement in a Vida Care Home.
This was achieved on 19th February 2025. Such a relief!
She is now in a safe place receiving excellent loving care at Vida Hall. Carers, nurses and the managers really do care. The plaudits go on; domestic cleaning, catering/kitchen staff and excellent food. Front of house reception, admin, maintenance and of course gardens.
Everyone I meet on a daily basis lives and breathes the Vida Ethos. The staffing ratio to residents ensures a relaxed and happy environment.
Visiting my wife every day at Vida Hall is an absolute joy, smiles abound!
Vida healthcare is a remarkable success story my wife and I enjoy all the best bits daily.
Full credit must go to the Board of directors and investors, Vida is a great success story, long may it prosper.
Vida will have a place in our hearts forever.
Thanks, with love T&C.

Since the end of January 2025 my mother has been at Vida Court. Firstly she was in Howson House but due to deteriorating physical health and after a discussion with me, she was moved to Harrison House. In both Houses the care has been exceptional! The staff are very friendly and on observing them on
many of my visits they show true compassion and have a very calming manner. I feel that there is a good structure of activities with the support of the Wellbeing Team. The staff work well together. They are all marvellous! The Lead Nurse in Harrison House is very good at supporting me too. I live in Leicestershire so I have regular updates on how my Mum is doing. A BIG thank you to you all.

Very happy with the care my husband receives both physically and emotionally. Excellent physical care addressing his needs, for example occasional skin 'breakouts' Emotional care - most attentive. He can become upset for no apparent reason. Staff take time to comfort and reassure him. All such incidents
are communicated to the family. Staff show genuine concern.

After my mother passed, what stayed with us was deep gratitude for Vida Grange. It became more than a care home, it was a second home, where my mother was truly seen, respected, and loved. After a traumatic experience at her previous home, the care, compassion, and professionalism from the Vida team
gave us instant relief. My mother slept peacefully from her first night, no longer scared or anxious. Thoughtful details, like using her familiar pill pots, made all the difference. In her final days, staff treated her with such tenderness - brushing her hair, spraying her perfume, and gently comforting her. They looked after her and us with extraordinary kindness. Her last home was peaceful, safe, and dignified. If she could, I know she'd thank you for looking after her and her girls. So, I'll say it for her - thank you.

My mum had been a resident at Vida Grange for 18 months now. As a family we are so pleased and happy with Vida Grange. Where to start. All the staff are asset to the care home, from the lovely receptionists that provide a friendly warm welcome every time we visit. The porters, catering and chefs are
always so friendly and professional when they come onto the units. They sometimes have come over to talk. The maintenance also are amazing, and I have observed the way they interact with the residents, acknowledging them and even one maintenence staff took a residents hand and guided them. But we also have to say the carers and nurses that work on the unit that my mum is on are fantastic. Each and everyone of them are are a credit to vida grange. They go above and beyond and are person centred. I observe the way the interact not only with my mum but the other residents and they treat them with dignity, respect, kindness and show each resident so much attention and love.
Thank you!!

Dad was moved to Vida Hall just over 2 months ago - and the difference in him is a joy to see. The staff are fantastic with him and us and we feel he's now in very safe hands in a home from home.
Communication is good and the ratio of carers to residents is great. There seems to be lots of activities
for those that want them and the staff go above and beyond on special days such as Valentine's Day!
The catering looks good and most of all the residents appear to be treated with respect.
