It was important for my mother to move to a care home in the area she knows.

After a long hospital stay, she moved into Westport Care Centre. She is being well cared for by the excellent staff. She has a well-appointed room.

Mum is happy and healthy at the Centre. She is not really aware of her circumstances but likes the staff and has a rapport with them. When she has a problem it is sorted out.

I have visited my ex-wife’s aunt with her twice recently as I’ve moved closer and both heard and seen great things. The friendly staff and cleanliness impress. The aunt has been very happy here and a fantastic manager. She has handled any issues superbly.

Could not recommend a care centre more highly.

My experience of Westport is entirely positive. I am an only child and Westport has released me from the anxiety of my mothers well being as her dementia increases. She knows she is liked and well cared for, she often tells me so. Westport has a relaxed, caring atmosphere, the staff are kind and create a family feeling about the place.

Ginger the cat is a nice addition.

I cannot praise the daytime staff at this home enough. They try to do everything possible, to make life more comfortable for my brother. It has been a very stressful time, for him especially, and for us as a family, but the care staff here really helped him feel at ease. He is not the easiest of people to try and help, as he has always been independent, but the staff would always greet him with a smile.

My sister is a resident and is very well looked after. They have also recently taken in her husband and he is also very well looked after. I also told the manager that I would be happy to be a resident there should the need arise.

Have cared for my brother for the past 5 years and I am happy with him being at Westport. Staff always notify me of any concerns and keep me up to date with everything. I have spent the last couple of Christmas days there with everyone and the atmosphere, food and everything was lovely. I would recommend Westport to anyone that needs a care home for their loved one. My husband's father (we wanted him to spend his last days at Westport) received end of life care there and it was a dignified and caring death.
