Some of the staff here are such gems - and all of them are dedicated and caring.
I could not ask for a safer, kinder, warmer place for my beloved grandmother.
With thanks.

I started volunteering at St Teresa’s Home more than two years ago, and I’ve been always impressed by how caring, and loving all the sisters and the staff are with everyone. The rooms and the house are lovely, everything is well run, the residents have all they need, and everything is taken care of
for them. But I’m sure that it’s people who make St Teresa’s home special. It really feels like being at home. During one of my mum’s trips a year ago (when we could still travel before COVID), she had the chance to come to St Teresa’ home to visit and ever since, she reminds me how nice it was and how welcome she felt and that should she lived in London, this is the place she’d like to come when she gets older and doesn’t feel like living on her own (and I agree! I really wouldn’t mind having my own room too).

Saint Teresa's Home provided excellent personal assistance for my friend helping her to improve her wellbeing through a good diet, daily physical exercise, a variety of activities addressed to maintain good memory and alertness while socializing and having a good time.
Despite the COVID-19 restrictions,
the staff made sure my friend and I maintained good contact not only through phone calls but Skype, and WhatsApp.
My friend was treated with the utmost dignity, and I was always encouraged to stay in touch with the staff who would kindly update me.
I highly recommend this home.

My uncle became a resident at St Teresa’s just over a week ago. He likes his room very much, finds the bed extremely comfortable and really enjoys all of his meals!

He is currently isolating on account of COVID-19 regulations, but is taken on daily walks, which he appreciates and, hopefully, in approximately

a week’s time, he will be in a position to meet the other residents.

Current Review Score: 8.5 (8.524)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.524) out of 10 for St Teresa's Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.697 for St Teresa's Home is calculated as follows: ( (25 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 33 Ratings = 4.697
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.827 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Teresa's Home is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 26 registered maximum number of service users is 5.2. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 5.2 = 0.577
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
