My Mother has been a resident here for 2 months, initially for 3 respite stays and following review today has become a permanent resident. This is because we have been very impressed with the high standard of care and kindness shown to her throughout the stay, from all the staff at all levels/ areas
of care.
We have been very happy to entrust the staff with looking after our Mother and feel they got to know her very quickly, attending to her needs with much care and compassion, and ensuring all her needs are met.

My mum has been a resident for over 18 months and she is very happy. She has a large room, care around the clock, good food and activities to keep her busy and entertained. The building has lovely grounds for the residents to walk around and as a visitor I like to walk there in the warmer weather.
I feel that my mum is safe and well cared for.
I have attended a relatives meeting, which was very well organised.

My Mum moved into St Augustine's Care Home in January 2023 after having a heart attack and pneumonia and being left extremely weak and unable to walk. It was fortunately recommended to us by one of her friends. The staff were very welcoming and caring both to her and our family. They managed to nurse
her back to better health than we could have hoped for and keep her safe and happy. I am so grateful to the sisters, carers and receptionists for their kindness and the dignity with which they treat the residents. The atmosphere is perfect for my Mum and she loves the religious aspect, particularly being able to attend Mass at the beautiful little chapel there.

My mother chose St. Augustines Care Home in Addlestone because it is Catholic Residential Home run by the sisters, residents are able to attend mass twice a week and she has attended Sunday mass at the chapel previously.
We met with the care home manager who gave a very honest review of the home, the
improvements that enabled St. Augustines to have a good CQC rating and she showed us around the premises and facilities.
My mum after residing at the home for almost a year has settled really well and feels that it is her home with her own space when she wants privacy. The sisters and carers are really kind and ensure that my mum is well fed, cared for and can attend mass and medical appointments.
Being at the care home had enabled me and my siblings to feel peaceful that my mum is being well cared for and that mum is happy, has made some friends and feels that she is at home.

At New Year, we had an immediate need for short term respite care for my 92 year old father due to a terrible flu that affected his chest and mobility, resulting in a couple of falls. The team at Christ the King Footherly Hall were welcoming, understanding and provided immediate help in our situation,
for which we were very grateful. Our priority was our dad's safety 24/7, his recovery, and a period of respite care to rebuild his strength so he could return home if he was well enough. His room was well appointed and had stunning countryside views, the home was well equipped and set in beautiful rural grounds, and the team were friendly, knowledgable and kind. Dad was given a very warm welcome and looked after beautifully, with attentive medical care on hand to support his recovery. A big thank you to one staff member in particular and the team for all you have done for us and for Dad in our time of need. We are very grateful. And although he very much wanted to return home, he found actually saying goodbye quite emotional!

Mum has been a resident for almost 12 months now, in that time whilst her mental condition has sadly declined, physically she is so much better. Her terrible anxiety and depression has also reduced. The kindness and love shown by everyone at Christ the King Footherley Hall has made her feel settled
and happy, which therefore has also made me feel relaxed and happy. All the staff take an interest in her, as they appear to do with all the residents, she is always wearing clean clothes and her bedroom is kept spotlessly clean. There is a very caring atmosphere at Footherley which becomes apparent as soon as you walk through the door. There are some lovely activities, and in the summer when the weather was good their lunch was sometimes served in the garden which mum loved. I looked around many care homes before picking Footherley it is an overwhelming task! I cannot thank everyone at Footherley enough for giving me peace of mind whilst navigating the horror that is dementia.

Mum moved into Footherley in early February after leaving her home of 62 years. There was obviously an initial settling-in period, but after just a fortnight we noticed a marked difference in her contentment. We have been so impressed with the management who take a great deal of care in listening to
Mum and her family. The welcome from the friendly receptionists to the care shown by the carers, sisters and all members of the team is exemplary. She is enjoying her food and the company of the carers and residents. They are working hard on controlling her medication. Her room is perfect for her and the lounge and her favourite conservatory, where she enjoys reading her paper, are more than comfortable. I have witnessed a broad range of activities in the lounge which obviously are enjoyed by the residents. I have also noted the valued work of the friends of Footherley. Her settling into Footherley has given our family a real peace of mind.

My aunt came out of the hospital and had major mobility issues. She went from living independently to ending up in a hospital bed in the lounge. I contacted Footherly and she was assessed and offered a room. My aunt is now up and dressed and has her make-up on and her hair done and has a good quality
of life and is much happier. She has amazing care and I cannot recommend Footherly enough.

My mother has now resided at this home for just over 10 years. On her 10th Anniversary, they made a real fuss of her and threw a big celebration. When she went into the home, she was struggling with recovery from a severe stroke, but has defied all odds and has gained in health and vitality. That is
down to the tremendous care she has received at the home. It is well organised with excellent carers who treat each resident as though they are their own relative. And the setting is exceptional, with beautifully laid out grounds which the residents get to enjoy when weather permits. Can't speak highly enough of Footherley and would recommend it to anyone.

My mum entered Footherley Hall last July. It did not take long for my mum to relax and enjoy life there. The whole team are fantastic, everyone is involved in caring for the residents.
The home is so friendly and homely, it is set in beautiful grounds and there is a lovely chapel where my mum attends
Mass. When we go to see Mum she is so bright and happy, she has engaged with all of the activities quizzes, bingo and concerts she has even won a game or two of dominoes which we didn't know she could play.
My mum has never had a better social life. She has made friends in the home which is so lovely to see.
She has just spent her first Christmas at Footherley Hall and she had a fantastic time, there were; carol concerts, parties and a pantomime.
Whenever I visit Mum the staff are so friendly, and they have made the effort to get to know us as a family which means a lot.
I am very grateful to all of the team at Footherley Hall, you are all fabulous.

I have been extremely happy with Footherley with their due care and attention. In a stressful time, they accommodated my friend at very short notice and they were exemplary in making sure everything was taken care of at the outset. Since then I have seen all members of staff act respectfully and caring
not only with my friend but everyone else in the care home. It is a pleasure to visit there and if any queries or questions they are only too happy to help and make you feel very valued and welcome to the care home.

I cannot recommend Footherley Hall highly enough. Everyone working there is friendly and kind and they have made sure my mother felt welcome and safe.
Moving into care was a big change for her aged 98. She soon realised that everyone there will happily go that extra mile to help her. She is eating
well now and has put back some of the weight she lost in hospital. She often says the soup is 'to die for' and that the meals are well presented.
We feel happy knowing that she is looked after so well.
