Our Mother spent 6 years at Cecil Court, and we always found their open-door policy very welcoming. The staff are all dedicated and hardworking. The location is excellent especially for walks to The Green, and Kew Gardens. The atmosphere is positive and happy and our family is very pleased to have chosen this care home. The staff were so kind, caring, and sensitive right up the end of our Mother's time there. Thank you to all of them.

Two years ago my mother moved to Cecil Court, where she is safe and really well looked after by the kind and caring staff. They are all excellent, very responsive and always ready to discuss my mother's care.
The country's current epidemic presents extraordinary challenges for the manager and her team and they are complete heroes. Along with my family, I congratulate everyone working at Cecil Court for their caring professionalism and the excellent work and dedication you have all shown.

We are confident that our mother, a centenarian, is in the best possible care. We are very proud of everyone at Cecil Court. This evening we'll be out again clapping in appreciation too.

Cecil Court in Kew is facing these unprecedented times with courage, humanity and cheerfulness in the light of an almost impossible situation. The dedication of all staff is so wonderful as they continue to care for residents while putting their own health and wellbeing as well as that of their families at serious risk. I am beyond words to express my gratitude to them all for so expertly caring for my very elderly Mother with devotion and endless kindness. She would be helpless without their care and support. Thank you so very much to the Cecil Court team. It means the world to me to know that she is so loved and cared for by you all.

Cecil Court is run professionally by the manager together with the deputy and the administration secretary. The home is very homely and has a very lovely atmosphere; you feel they really care.
The carers in the home are very respectful, very compassionate and look after all residents as they should be cared for. The manager is continuously sourcing new things in order to make the lives of the residents easier and more interesting.
Each individual carer knows each resident so well; that it is very comforting when you cannot be there to know they are being looked after.

During these trying times, it seems that carers are finally getting the recognition they require.

I cannot praise Cecil Court highly enough. During the early days of the Coronavirus outbreak, my 88-year-old father, who has acute vascular dementia, fell and broke his hip, necessitating surgery. The hospital was understandably keen to discharge him as soon as possible. The team at Cecil Court really stepped up and are caring for him very well indeed. His recovery since returning to the familiarity of Cecil Court has greatly accelerated his recovery from the surgery.
Despite being unable to see my father during the lockdown, the team at Cecil Court have facilitated ‘video’ calls with my sister, which is I think a great for him and to us as a family.

Thanks again to all the team.

My mum was at Cecil Court for nearly 17-months, and she couldn't have been looked after with more compassion.
She felt at home, and her words were; that the staff couldn't have been nicer, 'they are all so lovely'.
I visited often as I live close by, and I never walked into anything other than them being caring.

I would always recommend Cecil Court as it was recommended to us.

My nephew lived at Cecil Court for about a year. He had problems and was not easy to care for. The staff and managers at Cecil Court were extremely kind to him, he was shown kindness and support until he died in November of this year. Also, as I live in Bristol, everyone was very helpful in keeping me updated on my nephew's care. My nephew received the best care.

My cousin was very well looked after and the staff showed great patience and kindness to a rather difficult patient. He was very happy here even though he wanted to go back to his totally unsuitable flat.

The care given to my uncle during his stay was excellent. Carers were always happy to spend time with him and to treat him as an individual. The management team was excellent, always willing to discuss on the phone as I live a considerable distance away, and always with information to hand. When visiting I was always welcomed and able to discuss freely with staff. During his last days, my uncle was treated with great care and dignity. My uncle was happy there and considered it to be his home, glad to be back there after recent hospital stays.

Cecil Court is simply the best care home we could possibly have wished for when my mum was diagnosed with vascular dementia. The care staff are obviously very well chosen - compassionate and friendly. Mum was on the 'dementia wing' and we always saw the same carers there who got to know her well and were fond of her. I liked the lay-out of this secure wing - a dining area with a couple of round tables and chairs placed around them. Then a slightly separate area with a television and wing back chairs. This made it seem much more like 'home'. You would always get offered tea and biscuits when you came to visit.

The office staff, too, are brilliant. They always know your name, have a chat etc. There is always a warm welcome. Several times I have seen residents just go and sit in the office to talk to the staff there - so very much an 'open door' ethos. I can't recommend Cecil Court enough for anyone who is looking for a care home.

I would highly recommend Cecil Court for the support they offer to the residents living there. I visit my father often and I am much reassured knowing he lives in such a caring atmosphere. The staff are polite and attentive to everyone, including visiting relatives. There is a homely feeling and relaxed atmosphere. I was surprised to see how well they know my father, even a short time after admission.

Mum has been a resident of Cecil Court for approximately 13 years. Now, in the later stages of Alzheimer's Disease, she is cared for in the high dependency unit for residents with advanced dementia. Mum settled easily into life at Cecil Court with support from the manager and staff and they have always treated her with respect and dignity. Care staff are very skilled in managing the needs of people with dementia and Alzheimer's and I would highly recommend Cecil Court as a care provider.

My mother lives on one of the dementia floors at Cecil Court. It should be noted that care is residential only and does not include nursing.
Set in an old building in leafy Kew, the home has charm and character. It lacks the "institutional" feel of newer homes. The recently renovated garden allows residents fresh air in a peaceful environment.
The home is well run by a professional and responsive management team. They treat residents as individuals and collaborate effectively with families. Staff show genuine care for residents, work hard, and are well trained. As at all care homes, government requirements force staff to spend considerable time documenting the care they provide. This situation needs to change, but the problem is not specific to Cecil Court.

Despite my mother's complex needs, Cecil Court has gone above and beyond its residential remit to keep her safe and well, while retaining her dignity. I wish to place on record my thanks to the staff and my strong recommendation.

I can't say how grateful I am for finding this great home for my mother. My mother feels safe and at home and our family are able to relax more about her. The staff is fantastic. The care is thoughtful and kind. The management is fantastic, imaginative and kind. The building is lovely. The food is good and balanced. The location is fantastic. The garden is a beautiful haven. I think I would have completely broken if we had not found this place.

I only hope that I could come here if I ever needed such care.
