We always feel able to approach management at any time. The staff we have got to know pretty well due to her length of time here, and the fact that the same staff have been here for some time too. Woodbury Manor was our first choice when we needed to make the decision for our wonderful mum in 2023, we felt lucky to get a room here. The home is impeccably maintained including the gorgeous gardens. The staff from management, reception, all the amazing care team, housekeeping, catering and activities all work so hard and the result is a caring and inviting place for mum to live and our family to visit. We always felt that mum was cared for exceptionally - she was always well dressed and the staff knew exactly where she was when we were greeted. The kindness our family has been shown and the love mum was given during her final weeks in particular will be something we'll never forget and always be thankful for. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Woodbury.

My nan's final days there really opened our eyes to just how invested the team, staff, and managers are in each and every resident there. They went above and beyond to respect our wishes as a family, fought for my nan till the very end and when she did finally pass the care and love we felt will never be forgotten. Woodbury Manor will always hold a special place in my heart and if you ever have to make that choice of a care home, I would recommend Woodbury time and time again. They truly are amazing.

Management, two members of staff in particular are very approachable and welcome constant feedback to keep this care home at a very high standard. They act quickly on the feedback given. Our dear Mum moved to Woodbury Manor in March 2021, just as we were coming out of COVID, sadly she passed away in August. During her time there she was well cared for, she was kept safe and the staff showed nothing but kindness and compassion. As Mum's dementia deteriorated, she became more challenging but the staff managed her individual needs. They are really miracle workers. Mum was very happy there and saw Woodbury as her home. Staff and managers were friendly and would keep you informed with what was going on. A big thank you to all the team in the Dementia Wing. Superb facilities, hairdressers, chiropody, onsite health care, and in-house activities.

Five stars - cannot recommend this home enough. From the moment we arrived Mum felt at ease. She suffers from dementia. All the staff are highly experienced in dealing with all aspects of old age and dementia and the love and care they give is just like a family member would give. It has a vibrant feel and positive vibe from the fabulous, caring staff. The GP also is regularly seen to ask questions about your loved ones. The food is top-quality and served with a smile. Clean, bright, happy and homely.

In terms of communication, we will ask the manager to liaise with you directly on this but please rest assured now that we are coming out of the pandemic we will be able to reinstate our relative meetings which we feel really help with general communication around the home. In terms of activities in the dementia wing, we find that difficult to understand as we have a very large and varied activity program throughout the day in both the residential and dementia wings (which can be evidenced from the posts on social media) - therefore perhaps you have not seen this first hand which can happen should your normal visits be more in the evening than during the day. However, as you have raised this as a concern we will again ask the manager to speak to you in this regard to see how we can improve. Thanks again for your review, we hope to improve on this.
