I had a warm welcome, and I was taken to my aunt, who was very happy and had been told I was coming. The staff are so friendly, and we always talk to other residents and their families. It is such a family environment. Beverley and Anne know me by name and always take time to ask how I am and also keep me informed how my aunt is. The care home is so clean and modern, and comfortable. I was offered a cup of tea and biscuits. My aunt is so happy and always tells me how well she is treated.
Thank you very much for writing a review. We are all very pleased that you feel so welcome when you visit and that you are really happy with the care that your aunt receives.
After viewing eight care homes in my area, choosing Ebury Court Care Home was an easy decision. Their standards of care are second to none, and the facilities are truly first class.
My aunt has advanced dementia, so it was essential that the team could fully understand and accommodate her condition. Every member of staff demonstrates genuine empathy, kindness, and compassion in everything they do. Making the decision to move my aunt into residential care was incredibly difficult for our family, but the team ensured the entire transition was seamless and reassuring.
The manager is always available to provide support-not only to my aunt, but to us as a family as well. As I work away frequently, it was vital for me to feel confident that my aunt was safe, well cared for, and that all safeguarding measures were firmly in place. Communication has been outstanding; the staff regularly call with updates, which gives me complete peace of mind and reassurance that she is happy and settled.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are truly delighted that you are so happy with all aspects of our care and service, this means a great deal to all staff.
I live overseas and it is very comforting to know that my 93 (soon to be 94) year old mother is well cared for and looked after to a very high standard. I return to the UK two or three times a year and each visit to Ebury Court reassures me that she is receiving the best possible care.
Thank you for the review I am very pleased that you are happy with our care which must be very reassuring when you live so far away.
My wife has been at Ebury Court since March 2021. My wife is now receiving palliative care. My wife is very, very well cared for by the staff, many of whom have worked there for decades. There is a feeling of love and warmth once the doors open. The food is plentiful and varied. My wife has never complained or left food. I have eaten there regularly until 2025 when my wife became worse. Nothing is too much trouble, you ask, and it is done. I am most satisfied with Ebury Court, and as I told the CQC, I would be very happy to stay there.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. We are all very delighted that you are so happy with the care your wife and yourself receive.
Living in her own home on her own, with carers coming in four time a day was nowhere near acceptable to her and all the family. We visit regularly to see her and she is always very happy and appreciative of the the superb care that she is getting and has never had a bad word to say about the excellent care that she needs and gets. Her room is first class with a nice view over the football training ground with all her needs on call at hand.
I have never heard any complaints from her about the care that she gets from excellent caring staff that are always there whenever she needs them.
Since being there for nearly four years now she is always happy and looking forward to being 102 on her birthday in August 2026 this year. Visiting is made easy and parking is normally always available.
Thanks you all.

My mum has received excellent care at Ebury Court. The staff team are consistently professional kind and caring and always go over and above to ensure that mum is comfortable and happy. The staff are always welcoming and the environment is calm and friendly, there are regular activities and during visits and it is apparent that residents are engaged and it is usual to hear laughter and singing. The home supports residents to celebrate birthdays and special events with their family and there is a private garden suite available which has been really beneficial for our family. The managers are very approachable and always willing to discuss any issues or worries and offer reassurance and solutions. Maybe the best testimony for the home is my mum's obvious improvement in her overall health and mobility and well being.
Many thanks for taking the time to review us. We are delighted that you are happy with all aspects of our care and especially pleased that you can see such an improvement in your Mother's overall health, mobility and well being. This is what we all strive for at Ebury Court.
The senior members of staff have always kept me updated on my aunt's wellbeing and have answered any questions I have asked regarding her health .

Looked at about 6 care homes in the area and only liked Ebury Court. The staff are all welcoming and friendly and they have catered for my mums needs as they have changed since she was a resident in June. The care is excellent, the rooms well maintained and the living areas clean and airy. The food is excellent with plenty of choice and cater for all needs. Would recommend this care home. Plenty of activities available for those able/wishing to take part.

Dad is happy & settled in a lovely room with his own patio area. He also loved sitting in the main garden in the summer. The staff are all friendly & helpful, & have a lovely relationship with dad. He is treated with respect & listened to. Everyone genuinely cares about the residents & does their utmost for them. It is a welcoming place for family to visit & we are made to feel at home too. There is a range of activities for residents & events to which families are invited too. I would highly recommend.

We are very pleased with the excellent care that mum receives here. She loves the staff who know her well and are therefore able to meet her needs. The food is wonderful and there is always a choice. I love the fact that residents' interests are considered and addressed. A very clean and welcoming environment including a beautiful garden.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. We are thrilled that you are so pleased with our care. We strive to get to know our residents really well and place them at the very heart of our care.
My auntie had an accident in her own home which made it impossible for her to live there. I looked at many homes in the local area and Ebury Court kept coming to the top of the list, if I had to pick one for myself this would be it. My aunt who has now been in the home for a couple of months now looks at it as her real home and is happy to be there now. She says the ambience of it is lovely, all the staff treat her with dignity and respect, I like the way all the staff call her by her name and not darling etc. She tells me the food is lovely and her room met all her requirements and her room cannot be entered by other residents only by staff as the door is automatically locked when she leaves. Her appearance always looks well-kept with her seeing the hairdresser on a weekly basis. When I explained to her this was going to be her permanent home, she replied with a big smile on her face and said "good"
Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are truly delighted that you and your auntie are so happy with every aspect of our care; this is what we all strive for.
The management genuinely care about the residents and the staff, they are proud of their home and rightly so. They take every opportunity to include and listen to families. Every member of staff I have met has been kind caring and respectful, no matter what level they are. Ebury Court to me is the Gold Standard of what Care Homes should be.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. Our whole team work together to give the best care we can and it is genuinely heart warming to read a review that refers so positively to all aspects of our care.
My aunt and uncle have been happy and very well cared for at Ebury Court Care Home. The staff are lovely, always kind and helpful and genuinely care for residents. The home feels like a home, it's warm and comfortable with a beautiful conservatory and a lovely garden. I have always felt confident that my aunt and uncle are being looked after and communication is very good. Thank you to everyone there.
Thank you for your review. We are delighted that you are so happy with our care.
My dad has been a resident at Ebury Court since early 2024 and our experience has been nothing but positive. As a family this is our first experience of care homes. The team at Ebury Court made an extremely daunting process so much easier to cope with. We know our dad is safe and being cared for either respect.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We are especially delighted that you feel your father is safe and well cared for.
Ebury Court has been a wonderful place for Mum to call home after she could not safely look after herself any longer. I find the staff there, indeed anyone I have come into contact with associated with Ebury Court, to be kind and caring. Greater testimony than that is that Mum loves those who look after her and says herself how content and rested she is now. I have found the facilities to be spotlessly clean, Mum likes the food and her room, communal facilities are more than comfortable. I could not recommend Ebury Court highly enough.
Thank you so much for reviewing our service. We are all very touched by the sentiments expressed and this is exactly the kind of care that we all strive for.
The home have a very low staff turnover, which is good for the residents to see the same familiar faces, also for the families.
The food always looks amazing and is cooked on site, there is always a choice of menu for the residents.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. We are delighted that you are so happy with our care.

Meet the Team (4)

Ebury Court is an independent family-run business, established by the Chairman, Mr Key (Senior), in 1981.
It is still very much a family concern. Richard has worked at Ebury Court for over 40 years and is now the Managing Director.
Richard is passionate about the quality of our service and keeping older people at the very centre of our care. He has a visible daily presence within the home, is involved in all aspects of the service and is committed to ensuring that, not just the care, but also, the physical environment is of the highest standard. To this end, he ensures that there is continued reinvestment in the business to enhance the quality of the residents' lives.
He is very interested in cutting-edge technologies. An example of this would be the sourcing, purchase and introduction of the Carendo shower chair which has truly transformed the lives of our residents.
He has extensive knowledge and understanding of the care environment necessary to ensure the highest standards. He oversaw all aspects of the design, procurement, construction and subsequent furnishings of our wonderful Orangery.
He is also unique in his commitment and support of new groundbreaking care initiatives, for example, Namaste Care and The Lavender Club.
Staff feel he is very approachable and supportive. He is actively involved in staff meetings and listens to their views before making important decisions. He also knows all the residents within the home and can often be seen socialising with them and their loved ones.

Beverley has been the Registered Manager at Ebury Court Care Home since 2004. She has worked in Health and Social Care for over 40 years in the fields of Mental Health, Child Protection and the elderly. She is a passionate advocate of the rights of older people and committed to ensuring that the intrinsic discrimination which is present within our society does not prevail at Ebury Court. She has a keen interest in cutting edge initiatives and has developed unique care programmes to meet the needs of both those with early and end stage dementia. She worked with Professor Ladislav Volicer on a research programme in relation to Namaste Care and her article was subsequently published in the American Journal of Alzheimers. Another ground-breaking initiative was the concept of Nursing Associates working in a residential setting. She supported a senior member of staff to complete the Nursing Associate degree and he is now practising within our home, one of the first ever to practice within a non-Nursing home environment – a true integration of health and social care.

Ann is a very well respected and key member of our management team with over 33 years’ experience in social care. She has a considerable amount of expertise in relation to palliative care, together with her extensive knowledge, makes her an excellent Care Leader and outstanding role model. She shares her knowledges freely and shows staff the practical skills in relation to end of life care and also enables them to understand the emotional challenges involved for both the residents and their families. She is an excellent communicator and uses these skills to discuss advance care planning and DNAR with both residents and relatives ensuring that all documentation is in place thus supporting residents to die peacefully and pain free in a manner and place of their choosing. Ann works very professionally and efficiently with a range of other health and social care professionals including our GP. She co-leads the weekly in-house GP surgery, co-ordinates the practical aspects of the clinic and ensures that staff have a solid understanding of resident’s healthcare issues in order that these can be promptly identified and addressed. She is a very popular Care Leader and staff feel confident to approach her to discuss any aspects of resident’s care knowing they will be listened to and supported. Ann has the unique ability to not only lead staff but also to focus on keeping the residents care needs at the very heart of her care practice.

In July 2004, Ajeesh came to the UK with the purpose of pursuing higher education with a view to working in the care sector. In October 2005, he successfully applied for a part time position at Ebury Court, commencing his career in December 2005. In 2009, he was offered a full-time position and continued in this post for 3 years taking up all training opportunities including achieving NVQ level 2 and 4 in Health and Social Care. In 2012, Ajeesh was promoted to the role of Senior and in 2014, Ebury Court recognised his outstanding qualities and created a post of Senior Care Co-ordinator for him. As part of these new responsibilities, he continued to grow and develop gaining significant qualifications including the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services ‘Adults Management. In this role, he has also taken the lead for co-ordinating end-of-life care. Since March 2020, he took full responsibility for overseeing and co-ordinating the COVID 19 testing. Working collaboratively with clinicians confirmed that he wished to become a clinician. However, he was hugely conflicted as he was committed to Ebury Court where he had worked and flourished for many years. The dilemma facing him was to choose between working in the Care home and an apprenticeship at the local hospital. However, thanks to a new pilot Apprentice Nurse Associate Programme, Ajeesh was able to do both, qualifying in September 2022. He has flourished within this role which culminated in him being awarded the Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care’s Silver Award. He is now able to use both his considerable skills as a Carer and a Nurse within Ebury Court – a true integration of Health and Social Care.
