Since my grandmother moved in, I have not been disappointed with the level of care shown to her. My grandmother is very settled and happy and this is down to the commitment and care of the staff. The communication from the staff to myself is excellent, I am kept completely up to date on my grandmother's health and welfare. I couldn’t have picked a better home for my grandmother and cannot thank whole team enough.
Your comments are very much appreciated.

When I visit, I feel like this is dad's home and leave knowing he is safe and looked after well which means such a lot to me. Special events are always celebrated, especially birthdays. The management in this care home are very hands on.

Ebury Court is an independent family-run business, established by the Chairman, Mr Key (Senior), in 1981.
It is still very much a family concern. Richard has worked at Ebury Court for over 40 years and is now the Managing Director.
Richard is passionate about the quality of our service and keeping older people at the very centre of our care. He has a visible daily presence within the home, is involved in all aspects of the service and is committed to ensuring that, not just the care, but also, the physical environment is of the highest standard. To this end, he ensures that there is continued reinvestment in the business to enhance the quality of the residents' lives.
He is very interested in cutting-edge technologies. An example of this would be the sourcing, purchase and introduction of the Carendo shower chair which has truly transformed the lives of our residents.
He has extensive knowledge and understanding of the care environment necessary to ensure the highest standards. He oversaw all aspects of the design, procurement, construction and subsequent furnishings of our wonderful Orangery.
He is also unique in his commitment and support of new groundbreaking care initiatives, for example, Namaste Care and The Lavender Club.
Staff feel he is very approachable and supportive. He is actively involved in staff meetings and listens to their views before making important decisions. He also knows all the residents within the home and can often be seen socialising with them and their loved ones.
Beverley has been the Registered Manager at Ebury Court Care Home since 2004. She has worked in Health and Social Care for over 40 years in the fields of Mental Health, Child Protection and the elderly. She is a passionate advocate of the rights of older people and committed to ensuring that the intrinsic discrimination which is present within our society does not prevail at Ebury Court. She has a keen interest in cutting edge initiatives and has developed unique care programmes to meet the needs of both those with early and end stage dementia. She worked with Professor Ladislav Volicer on a research programme in relation to Namaste Care and her article was subsequently published in the American Journal of Alzheimers. Another ground-breaking initiative was the concept of Nursing Associates working in a residential setting. She supported a senior member of staff to complete the Nursing Associate degree and he is now practising within our home, one of the first ever to practice within a non-Nursing home environment – a true integration of health and social care.
Ann is a very well respected and key member of our management team with over 33 years’ experience in social care. She has a considerable amount of expertise in relation to palliative care, together with her extensive knowledge, makes her an excellent Care Leader and outstanding role model. She shares her knowledges freely and shows staff the practical skills in relation to end of life care and also enables them to understand the emotional challenges involved for both the residents and their families. She is an excellent communicator and uses these skills to discuss advance care planning and DNAR with both residents and relatives ensuring that all documentation is in place thus supporting residents to die peacefully and pain free in a manner and place of their choosing. Ann works very professionally and efficiently with a range of other health and social care professionals including our GP. She co-leads the weekly in-house GP surgery, co-ordinates the practical aspects of the clinic and ensures that staff have a solid understanding of resident’s healthcare issues in order that these can be promptly identified and addressed. She is a very popular Care Leader and staff feel confident to approach her to discuss any aspects of resident’s care knowing they will be listened to and supported. Ann has the unique ability to not only lead staff but also to focus on keeping the residents care needs at the very heart of her care practice.
In July 2004, Ajeesh came to the UK with the purpose of pursuing higher education with a view to working in the care sector. In October 2005, he successfully applied for a part time position at Ebury Court, commencing his career in December 2005. In 2009, he was offered a full-time position and continued in this post for 3 years taking up all training opportunities including achieving NVQ level 2 and 4 in Health and Social Care. In 2012, Ajeesh was promoted to the role of Senior and in 2014, Ebury Court recognised his outstanding qualities and created a post of Senior Care Co-ordinator for him. As part of these new responsibilities, he continued to grow and develop gaining significant qualifications including the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services ‘Adults Management. In this role, he has also taken the lead for co-ordinating end-of-life care. Since March 2020, he took full responsibility for overseeing and co-ordinating the COVID 19 testing. Working collaboratively with clinicians confirmed that he wished to become a clinician. However, he was hugely conflicted as he was committed to Ebury Court where he had worked and flourished for many years. The dilemma facing him was to choose between working in the Care home and an apprenticeship at the local hospital. However, thanks to a new pilot Apprentice Nurse Associate Programme, Ajeesh was able to do both, qualifying in September 2022. He has flourished within this role which culminated in him being awarded the Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care’s Silver Award. He is now able to use both his considerable skills as a Carer and a Nurse within Ebury Court – a true integration of Health and Social Care.
