The Meadows Residential Care Home caters for 29 residents across 24 bedrooms. It is a family run care home designed for people who like the intimacy and homely feel of a smaller care home. The incredible team go above and beyond to anticipate their residents' every need.

Since 2020, the Home has been undergoing major upgrading work to embrace the notion of continuous improvement to the general environment of all communal areas and all private rooms. All bedrooms have a full set of en-suite facilities with brand new ceramic sanitary-ware and spot-lights to the ceilings. All floorings have been replaced with non-permeable flooring and all walls skimmed and newly decorated.

A rear and side extension are due to be completed by this summer to provide an additional 6 bedrooms and a much larger lounge, quiet area and dining room.

It is located in Greenford, West London, with easy access from the A40, the M25 and is also a 5-minute walk from Greenford Tube Station, which is on the Central Line.

The staff are acutely aware of the problems and anxieties that moving into care can bring. They will support your transition sensitively with compassion and understanding. All of the staff have the knowledge, experience and skills of dealing with the issues and concerns surrounding such an important change, for which reason they will offer you constant support and guidance.

They boast a long-standing permanent workforce who always believe in putting their residents first. They believe that they’ve created a family in both their carers and residents and only believe in employing outstanding individuals who are able to meet exceptionally high standards.

The Activity Coordinator provides relaxation classes /sessions every morning to aid relief of many issues facing older people such as depression, loneliness, and isolation and the Team believes in the application of diverse techniques to boost residents' morale.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother was a resident at The Meadows up until she passed away in July of this year.
She was lucky to of had 4 and a half years here and received excellent care and compassion throughout.
There have been many changes during that time, most notably the change of ownership to its present owners.
The
managers are continuing to develop The Meadows to ensure that the best possible care and attention is given to all the residents.
The care that my mother was given towards the end of her life was above and beyond all duties.
I now have my aunt still a resident there and she is very well cared for and well looked after.
The manager and all the care staff are excellent and treat all residents as individuals.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.862 for The Meadows Residential Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (145 Excellents x 5) + (21 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 167 Ratings = 4.862
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.85 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Meadows Residential Care Home is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.85
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 29 registered maximum number of service users is 5.8, which has been reached with 14 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
