I wanted to leave a review to express how grateful I am to The Oaks team for their kindness and support during my mum's recent transition into their care. It's been a very emotional journey, but for the first time in a long while I can sleep at night knowing she is safe and well looked after.
Whenever I've had a concern, management have always been available to listen, advise, and offer reassurance, which has made such a difference. Every visit is met with a genuinely warm welcome from the staff, and there's a real sense of care and compassion throughout the home.
Bringing my son to visit his nanny feels like visiting an extended family-both the staff and residents go out of their way to make him feel comfortable and included, which means a lot to us.

Thank you to everyone at The Oaks for the support, kindness, and dignity you show every day.

My husband was placed in The Oaks as I am his carer (he has Parkinson's) as I have to have an operation. The care has been superb. He is stronger now then when he first entered. The staff are great and always happy. A lovely atmosphere. The food is very appetising and nutritious. His room is warm and comfortable. So pleased we chose The Oaks

All staff are so friendly and welcoming
My brother had been to several care homes and this one is by far the best..he settled in quick, staff are attentive and professional, my brother's needs were always met.
Entertaining the residents with karaoke singers where they all are encouraged to join in. The Christmas party was lovely with residents having a sing a long and dance

Well done to all the Team at the Oaks x

Very helpful and caring team with hearts of gold. These staff actually care about the elderly residents. It is a very clean home and the staff are very welcoming. I joined their Christmas party and all residents were up dancing and having fun, lovely to see and be a part of.

unfortunately my mother had to go into care when her dementia meant she could no longer be left by herself. As a family it was a difficult decision to take but we also realised that she needed to be looked after in a safe environment. We visited the Oaks and were pleasantly surprised by how friendly all the staff were and how clean it was. Mum moved in about a year and a half ago and the change in her was remarkable. the staff really brought out the best in her treating her like a guest and not as an invalid. Mum loved the food and never had a bad word to say about the place or the staff. When we visited she looked nice and clean and always well dressed and happy. entertainment was provided where everyone was encouraged to join in if they could. Sadly mum had to go into hospital when her dementia got so bad that she couldnt eat and she passed away shortly after.. Thanks to all the staff for making mums final months of life so much better for her, you are very special people.

Every visit my wife and I make, the staff are very welcoming to us, and are friendly. All residents who are mobile are always in the lounge or in the reception room. There appears to be enough staff to cope with the resident mobility problems. My father in law has taken time to settle in. All the staff like him which is good.

Thank you for your review. However, we are surprised that your experience is remarkably different to your wife's experience regarding our service considering the fact that you and your wife visit together at all times. A warm welcome is always received from the carers and management when visiting the home. Dad is usually in the main lounge and a carer will accompany him to a more private area for us to have a chat, along with a cup of tea and biscuits. The carers and management provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere whilst continually being attentive to the residents' requirements. They have a good understanding of my dad's needs and I am happy that he is being well looked after.

My friend's mum is in The Oaks, I have visited the home myself and have taken my friend's mum out on a few occasions, each time the staff are friendly and approachable. The home is very clean and tidy and you can see they have put a lot of thought into making the home comfortable and welcoming. Since my friend's mum has gone into The Oaks, my friend has totally relaxed knowing her mum is in a safe and loving environment where quality care is delivered. The Oaks is a truly lovely home

The Oaks atmosphere is warm, welcoming & genuinely feels like a home. Staff are incredible, they all go above & beyond, they're professional, kind, friendly, empathetic, patient & truly caring, which is everything we had ever hoped for. When seeing mum, I've seen how staff have the ability to adapt to each residents needs & have seen they go out of their way to ensure residents are happy & comfortable.

Mums room is spacious & bright with a large window overlooking the main road. The home is always clean & smells lovely. The varied & stimulating activities have helped mum socialise & make friends.

Since moving to The Oaks, mum has regained her appetite & looks healthier, even enjoying second helpings at meals.

Knowing my mum is in such an amazing home gives us huge peace of mind & I would recommend The Oaks to anyone.

I cannot thank The Oaks enough for everything they're doing for my mum. They've made this incredibly difficult Dementia pathway so much easier for me & our family.

The most passionate and caring staff. After a very stressful period, the Oak's welcomed us and our family member and have been there for us ever since. The daily dedication to their residents families and guests makes tis care home a relaxed, warm and inviting place to be. We cannot thank them enough.

My brother has been in The Oaks care home for nearly six weeks. On arrival he was not looking after himself, his weight had dropped because he was not eating. The staff have been so kind to him and he is now looking so much better. He celebrated his 70th birthday and danced and sang all day with staff and residents.
