I find the staff very helpful and understanding of my aunt's needs.
Thank you for your review. I will pass your kind comment to the staff.
The staff are all amazing. They are so approachable, friendly and really care for the residents. Every time I see Mum she is smiling, laughing and doesn't stop dancing when music is played which is quite often.
Living in Australia used to be such a worry when Mum lived on her own. I no longer worry about her as I know 100% she is looked after more than I could ever imagine.
The management staff keep in touch with me in Australia and let me know how Mum is each week, for that I am truly grateful. Very happy family.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It is so nice that we have been able to give you peace of mind as you are so far away. Your mother is a joy to care for and is a much-loved member of our household.
I would highly recommend this care home, they are just brilliant.
Thank you for your kind review. I will pass on your comments to my staff.
Nice, comfortable, small, homely, lovely place with good, responsive management. All staff are always ready to help and very professional.
Thank you for your review. We tried within the limited time that we had to admit your mum as an emergency respite to make her comfortable in the room that we had available. We are sorry if you feel that the room was unsuitable. I will pass on your compliments to the staff.
Staff are very professional and very friendly. They are very attentive to my sister's needs. When I leave after visiting, I know she is being well looked after.
Thank you very much for your kind words. It is a pleasure to care for your sister and I will pass on your comments to my staff.
They also have a sister property and our uncle was in there and was equally well catered for and loved it and we took our recommendation from that alone.
We cannot fault it and our mum has been born again in many ways since being at The Oaks Residential Care Home.
Keep doing what you do The Oaks and all the team there.
Long may it continue.
Bravo The Oaks!
Thank you so much for your kind words. We endeavour to do our best for our residents and families, and we are grateful that you recognize our hard work. Looking after your mum is a pleasure, and she keeps us entertained! We are glad she is thriving here.
Both my parents have lived at The Oaks for several years and during that time they have been well cared for and looked after. The staff are kind and treat my parents with respect. Before my mother went to live at the home she was very anxious and unhappy. Now she is relaxed and happy, thanks to The Oaks staff. My father is in a very poor state of health, but he is well looked after. I would recommend the home to others.
Thank you for your kind words. We try to provide a homely and welcoming environment for all our residents. We will continue to do our best for the residents and their families. I will pass on your positive feedback to my staff. It is a privilege to look after your parents.
I would recommend The Oaks.

Awful place, smelly outdated decor, some of the staff are awful and seen first-hand how rude some are to the residents. It’s a sad place to have a loved one but ideal if you have zero feelings for them! I did not realise how bad this place was until my grandmother went into another home nearby. This is the worst home I have ever seen and I hated my loved one being here! Go and visit other homes, I beg you before you make a poor decision to send someone here.
I'm sorry you feel this way about our home. As we have no record of you visiting in the last 12 months it's hard to know how to respond to your comments. The 3D tour was created in July 2022 and we've made further improvements to the home since then, perhaps the decor is not to your taste but we...
My experience at being here has been wonderful. The carers have been so lovely, caring, kind, professional and always so helpful. The management has been outstanding and kind, the catering has been excellent, and the activities have been fabulous and varied, the cleaning staff are amazing, helpful and lovely, the home is very attractive and kept very clean and it has been a joy staying here.
Thank you for your lovely review. It has been a pleasure to look after you and please keep in touch. All the staff will miss you very much.
I have found the entire staff very helpful and at all times looking to ensure that the residents' welfare is paramount. They also make sure that visitors are very well looked after. The entertainment for all is at a very high standard. I strongly recommend The Oaks to anyone. A very big thanks to all the team, they have all been specially selected for quality. May you all continue in your excellent work.
This is an outstanding home with staff providing individual care to each resident.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Your father is much missed by us as he was a lovely gentleman and we are grateful for your kind words.
Because of Covid, I am still very nervous about going into a residential home
but I have been very impressed with the way the staff have coped during these
difficult times. I can honestly say that I am so grateful to them all for looking after my mum.
Thank you for your kind words, looking after your mother is a pleasure.
From the moment we stepped into the home to view it for our relative it felt like home. The staff and environment were welcoming, the residents appeared happy and well cared for. The rooms were clean spacious and calming. The garden area is tranquil and relaxing. We left with the feeling “this is the right home”. The following week we moved our relative to the Oaks. We couldn’t be happier, the staff listen and adapt to what the resident requires. Our relative has settled, is happy and above all well cared for. Thank you to all the staff at the Oaks, a weight has been lifted off our minds.
Thank you for your comments. We are so happy that you feel this way about our home and we will continue to do our best for all our lovely residents.
The home has kept my mother safe, well and as happy as these challenging times have permitted. The home is managed well, and the staff caring. Residents relations can raise concerns at any time, knowing they will receive a prompt answer, and requests will be acted on where possible.
Thank you very much for your positive comments; they are very important to us. I will be sure to pass them on to all the staff involved in your mums care.
My mother, who is s97-years-old, had to be moved from her care home in November 2020 as it closed down. In a very difficult situation because of Covid. The Oaks team isolated Mum in her room for two weeks. She was constantly checked to make sure she was ok. Mum is now very happy and settled, and The Oaks team have catered for her every need. She is very content, and so are we. The best move we could have made.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are pleased to have been able to help at such a difficult time.
Staff are always accomodating, friendly, understanding and helpful. Cannot thank the manager and staff for the care and support they have shown our mum during an extremely stressful time for our family, moving Mum into a home. For the home to be Covid free and safety measure that has been put in place to keep residents and staff safe, so thank you again for all your hard work in this area.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. I will pass them on to all involved.
This is a small (26 room) home with an outstanding level of management and care. Covid 'lockdown' safety measures were put in place before the Government instructed such action, which in my mind is a clear indication of the level of responsibility afforded to the residents here. The visitation restrictions imposed upon families and friends are strictly enforced but caringly explained to the residents, families and friends and to my knowledge no objections or complaints have been made. A procedure to send messages and video call or chat over the internet, etc. were put in place from the outset. Regular newsletters are sent out keeping families and friends up to date with life in the home and individually, phone calls enquiring about the wellbeing, etc. of a loved one are always happily received and responded to in a welcoming fashion.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. The support from our resident's families throughout this period has been second to none, and we are incredibly grateful.
The manager and all the staff are wonderful; I cannot praise them highly enough. The care, love and attention they give my mum are second to none. I'm absolutely confident in their ability to look after her and meet her needs. They are always welcoming when I visit; it's like going into someone's home. I used to visit care homes in a professional capacity, and The Oaks is one of the best I've ever seen.
Thank you for your amazing feedback. We are truly grateful for your kind words.
A very well run care home in whom I have complete trust.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the review. I will pass on your lovely comments to the staff.
