Superb care and communication with all staff. I cannot fault anything. The parties are well organised and my father is very happy. The staff are very attentive and always looking after each other. There are always a lot of staff available to assist. I have no issues at all with communication via email or phone and all enquiries are often answered straight away. A lovely care home. A+

Rowallan House seems to be a very pleasant place for the residents. The staff are kind and caring. The level of cleanliness is very good and the residents always appear to have good hygiene and clean clothes. My only concern would be the quality of food, are they getting enough fresh fruit and vegetables? From what I have seen the food seems bland and overcooked.

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to all the staff at Rowallan House for the care and respect they have shown to my mother and all the other residents and visitors. We can phone and visit at any time and the staff are all consistently caring and welcoming. They have regular social events where relatives and carers are able to mingle and join in. A big thank you to all concerned.

Mum has been in the care home for 5 years and during the awful Covid period. Staff at Rowallan go above and beyond in the care they provide to Mum and also to the family members of their client. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to anyone when looking for a care home for loved ones. 10/10 rating.

I have found all staff to be very friendly and supportive over the last 14 months. The home appears to be well managed and has good facilities. Improvement ideas would be more fresh air and better food though I appreciate budgets are limited. Not sure about activities. Summer party was great.

The manager is always very friendly and approachable and I enjoy his company, often having a general chat before I depart. The medical staff are very friendly and respond promptly to any concern I may have. My father seems to be content with his care and the carers seem to get on well with him.

Mum went into Rowallan House for respite care in July 2020 following a hospital stay. Shortly after she was diagnosed with vascular dementia and is now a permanent resident. It has been such a difficult time with all the Covid restrictions but the staff have been so kind in arranging video calls and window visits. They now do Lateral Flow Tests on visitors to ensure the home stays Covid-free.

Dad (age 91) was admitted to Rowallan House in June 2021 on discharge from hospital as Mum could no longer cope with his dementia at home. The staff are absolutely lovely and nothing seems too much trouble. The house manager and the carer who cares for Dad are brilliant. It has given my mum peace of mind and they are very good at keeping us informed about Dad. It feels very much like a family home which is just what we were looking for.

Friendly and caring staff who have been looking after my father for over two years. An advantage in Rowallan is that the staff are always the same - the continuity of having regular staff is comforting for my father and we have the confidence that we know the staff to contact and provide more of a family than just temporary staff.

2020-21 has been a difficult year and the fact that Mum is alive, well and cheerful at 101 and has so far survived a global pandemic is a testament to the love and diligent care shown by all Rowallan staff. Mum has deteriorated quite a bit during the year but at every stage, all the staff have risen to the challenge and Mum is still very much herself. It's good to know they treat her as a person with a life history and not as a resident. Care has also been shown to the family: staff kept us up to date and facilitated contact even in that dark period when in-person visiting was not allowed. That was an additional burden that everyone took on with sympathy and courtesy. We cannot thank Rowallan enough.
