Carly was employed as an activities co-ordinator back in 2017, and from that time she has put her heart and soul into making the residents' lives fun and connecting with them in a special and heart-warming way.
As the activity co-ordinator, she plans the many daily activities we arrange for all our residents within Rowallan House, along with getting the Carers and residents' families involved with our activities. Her role demands high levels of imagination and versatility. She is always able to ‘think on her feet’, adapting to someone’s needs.
Her goal with every resident is to ensure that they don’t feel that their life has changed too dramatically by moving into our home. She throws herself into using all she knows about the person, their interests, and what comforts them if they get upset. Carly believes in our goals and says if someone has only participated in an activity for a short time that day, it will have made a positive difference to their general wellbeing.
