The first time I visited my grandad I felt the atmosphere to be very calm and all residence appeared to be settled, including my grandad. The staff interacted with residents, treating them with care and respect which made me feel very comfortable for my grandad. The home was spotless and smelt very
fresh. I am happy with my grandad living at Ridgeway.

Dad has settled in really well. Staff/management encourage Dad to be involved in activities that he would never of done whilst living with me. Staff interact with Dad and they have friendly banter which Dad loves. The care home is always spotlessly clean and smells fresh. Dad is always treated with
dignity and respect and not forced to do anything he doesn't wish to do. Staff and management are friendly and approachable, lovely atmosphere. I am very pleased all round with the care and support provided. Thank you.

Mt mother in law's experience at Ridgeway Lodge Care Home was a happy and very settled one. In fact, she referred to it as her home, which was very comforting to us as her family. She loved her room which was always warm and comfortable for her. She also loved the staff, who were kind, caring, polite
and helpful. They all treated her with such dignity. In fact, they were all amazing and were all very sad when she recently passed away.

Based on my observations during this period I feel that every effort has been made to give my Mother the best care possible. I was concerned about how we would manage the holiday period. However, the range of activities offered helped to make it a relatively stress-free Christmas and I am very grateful
for this. Thank you.

All staff are kind. All staff are professional. Ridgeway Lodge is hygienically clean but there are some minor DIY jobs needed. Windows needs cleaning too.
My Mother is safe and cared for.
Sometimes basic food stuff are not available which seems odd - no porridge!
Food quality and temperature (cold)
is the only thing my Mother complains about.
Everyone is friendly! They don't all wear a name badge.

After a friend moved to Ridgeway in the summer, have visited here three times and always found the staff and building environment to be welcoming and friendly. Arriving often after lunch, the cooking smells are fabulous. Christmas decorations and atmosphere are uplifting. Most importantly telling is
what my mentally it has lifted her enormously.

I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and love shown to my mum for the past 18 months. My mum is the happiest and settled I have seen her for a good few years. All the staff are exceptional. They give their best at all times. The activities team, reception, and cleaners are all amazing and should
be very proud of the level of care they give. I believe this is a well-managed care home which provides excellent care and an environment we are always welcomed to when visiting.

Every time I visit my father the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The home always feels safe and the residents are well looked after. Any questions I have had are always explained and quickly resolved.

My cousin/aunt has been at Ridgeway for about seven months. She settled in really well with the help of the ever-attentive staff. The care and friendship shown to her have been superb and very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend Ridgeway to others.

My mum, who usually lives in her own home has just spent two weeks 'respite' at Ridgeway Lodge.


She had a really good time there, and we found the staff to be very kind and caring towards the residents.


All of the staff seemed great - the 2 who I had the most dealings with were Claire and Justyna,

both of who really took the time and made the effort to make mum's stay very enjoyable.


Mum really enjoyed socialising with the residents and taking part in the daily activities.


The home looks lovely from the outside, appears very modern, clean and tidy, is recently refurbished so nothing looks too old or worn out, is well laid out, and offers a very safe environment for its residents.


The conservatory, lounge and dining rooms are all very nice too, as areas for people to meet in.


The bedrooms are fine, all with an en-suite toilet and sink.


All in all, I can definitely recommend it!

My father has been at Ridgeway Lodge for approx three months. We are really happy with the home, and the staff have been amazing, cannot speak highly enough of them. Would recommend Ridgeway Lodge to anybody.

My mother took residence in August 2016 and stayed until she passed away in December 2021, suffering from advanced Alzheimers. The care staff were considerate and gentle and interactive with my mother in a kindly and chatty manner. My brother and I know our mother was quite content in her new home even
though her health and ability to communicate declined over the period of residence. Our dog was always welcome when we visited which was very nice.

Despite Dad's confusion and understanding of his circumstances and moving to a care home, the staff have been excellent in helping him to settle. They understand his needs and encourage him to take part in activities. It is also good that it's local and I can visit him three times a week. Dad seems

Michele is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents. She closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident.


Michele extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Michele remarked: “Seeing our Residents have a good quality of life is really important to me”.


Michele has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievement being her four children who all work in the care sector as nurses or paramedics.


Outside of work, Michele enjoys looking after her four cats and relaxing with a cup of coffee and a book.
