We recently moved my mother to this home and are delighted with it! My mother has settled in very quickly and we honestly can't fault anything. The staff are universally wonderful, friendly and caring. Stayed for lunch with mum a couple of days ago and had a delicious meal, I think I'll do that regularly!
The building is a characterful old property and has beautiful extensive grounds which my mother is getting a lot of pleasure from. It's giving myself and my sisters huge peace of mind to know mum is being so well looked after and is contented.

My father has been a resident at Sharnbrook House for 5 months now and my family and I have nothing but praise for the Home, the Staff and the care he receives there. The Management Team have gone above and beyond to help him settle into his new surroundings (he has dementia) and to make him feel very
much at home. He absolutely adores 3 staff members in particular who are so patient and encouraging with him. Every single member of staff knows him by name and will stop to have a chat with him which, as he is still very sociable, makes him extremely happy. Whenever I visit I am made to feel very welcome, nothing is too much trouble for the staff - whether that's the Carers, the Laundry Team, the Cleaners, the Maintenance Team or the Management Team. They are all exceptional, I really cannot recommend Sharnbrook House highly enough.

My father has been a resident of Sharnbrook House since December and I am extremely grateful for the care he is receiving. He is well fed, clean, and the staff genuinely care about the residents-often with them encouraging Dad to join in activities and being mindful of explaining things to him as his
dementia is advancing. Specifically, I want to call out the care they have shown navigating a complicated family situation and ensuring that Dad is kept safe. They deeply care for him, and it shows in how happy he is there. Every time I visit, the team update me on how he is, normally giving him an extra pudding at lunchtime as he loves the delicious food! The team have made what is incredibly difficult-moving a loved one into a care home-a good experience. Huge thank you to the management team and the care staff!

My grandad has been living at this care home for a few months and I couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful environment he's in. From the moment you arrive, the house feels welcoming and homely. It's always clean and well looked after, with beautiful, well-kept gardens he can sit and enjoy this
summer.
What sets this place apart is the atmosphere - it's so warm and positive. The staff are incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely caring. You can tell they really take the time to get to know the residents and treat them with respect and compassion. Both the residents and staff always seem happy and at ease.
My grandad is calm and content living here. It brings such peace of mind to the family knowing that he's in a place where he feels safe, cared for, and at home. I couldn't recommend this care home more highly.

My grandad has been at Sharnbrook House since January, and the difference in him is amazing. He used to be anxious every day, but now he's so much more relaxed and happy-it's truly heartwarming to see. The staff are wonderful, not just with him but with our whole family. They always take time to chat
with us and make us feel welcome. The activities are great, and the food is honestly incredible-I always want a portion when I visit! For his birthday, they made him a personalised cake and really went all out to celebrate him. It's such a joy visiting now, knowing he's in great spirits and so well cared for. Thank you, Sharnbrook House, for making these years of his life so special.

Since my father-in-law moved into the care home in December, the experience has been nothing short of wonderful. I want to extend a special thank you to 3 staff members in particular for their exceptional care and kindness.
Ali brings such joy by singing with my father-in-law-something he truly loves
and looks forward to. One staff member keeps our family closely connected by regularly sending my wife lovely photos and updates of his daily activities, which means the world to us. And the fact that he's been welcomed to sit in the office has made him feel like his old self again-like he's back at work, with purpose and pride.
The compassion and thoughtfulness shown by the team have made a real difference in his life and ours. We are incredibly grateful.

Visit every week and in the last couple weeks there has been a new senior who has been so friendly welcoming and has been so knowledgeable it was such a pleasure to chat with her when I visited.
When I have previously visited staff don't sit and chat which is not always a nice experience but this particular
member took time to chat to me which was so comforting.

Outstanding Care at Sharnbrook House
Moving a loved one into a care home is never an easy decision, but our experience with Sharnbrook House has been exceptional from the very beginning. My father joined the home in December last year, and the professionalism and warmth shown by two staff members immediately
reassured us that he was in safe hands. Their support made an incredibly difficult transition so much easier for our family.
The entire care team is genuinely lovely, and it's clear they take pride in what they do. My father is truly happy there-whether it's the delicious home-cooked meals, the engaging entertainment, or the spotless cleaning and laundry services, everything runs seamlessly. Every time I visit, I find Dad happily chatting with the staff, which is a testament to the caring environment they've created.
Sharnbrook House has exceeded our expectations and we're deeply grateful to two of the staff and the entire team for making such a positive difference in Dad's life.

I cannot recommend Sharnbrook House enough. It's never an easy decision to place a family member into a care home, but the staff are so welcoming and caring that the transition for both my mum and me has been very easy. The care, respect and patience the staff show their residents is wonderful. The
atmosphere in the home is relaxed and happy, and residents have everything they need. From personal care to making sure nutritional needs are met, everything is covered. There are communal areas that can be used for visits and beautiful gardens. Mum is settling in really well and I'm happy knowing she is receiving excellent care 24 hours a day.

We have had an excellent experience with the care of my mother-in-law at Sharnbrook. The staff have been very patient, attentive, and caring. We could not have asked for a better engagement to encourage my MIL to participate during her stay for respite care. We noticed a significant improvement in her
mobility during her stay. Thank you to all the staff who have supported her move into care and also for their constructive support as she transitioned from Sharnbrook. In our experience, the home is friendly and all carers were empathetic and genuine in their care and duties.

We were greeted in a friendly and professional manner on arrival. Our relative was nicely dressed and very contented with her care. She was served with excellent refreshments during our visit and was treated with dignity. She is clearly known and treated as an individual and her general health and mobility
have improved during her time at Sharnbrook House.

Due to Mum's dementia/health we needed to source urgent respite care for her. After visiting several homes, Sharnbrook was our preferred option. They were very accommodating in assessing Mum's needs and their ability to meet her needs. It was a smooth transition from her home into respite then permanent
residence. Mum appears to have settled in well with safeguarding issues addressed and communication with family is excellent. Overall, we are very happy with Sharnbrook House.

I have no worries for my partner being at Sharnbrook House, where she is well looked after. Each time I go to see her, I am always made welcome by the staff and they are always willing to help me enjoy my visit to see my partner. I never feel uncomfortable about going to Sharnbrook House.

Since my mother-in-law was admitted to Sharnbrook House in March, the care given has been of a very high standard. The staff have been very friendly, caring and supportive, they thrive to create a 'home from home' atmosphere.
The meals are excellent, and a good variety is served daily. Especially during
the hot weather it was reassuring to see that the staff offered extra fluids throughout the day!
Sharnbrook House is a lovely bright, well-maintained and very clean home.

Lovely, homely care home. Caring staff who are always available to help where needed. Good quality meals. Wide variety of activities. Lovely garden to enjoy. Residents are treated with dignity and respect.

Staff are always very cheerful, positive and most helpful. My mother is not easy to look after, but the home manages this with grace and dignity. I shall always be very grateful. Whenever I leave the home, I feel that there is good in this world and that it will endure.

Hello, my name is Lisa Houghton and I am extremely honoured to be the Interim Home Manager of Sharnbrook House.
The team at Sharnbrook House ensure the residents are seen as individuals and they are encouraged by the staff to continue to maintain and enjoy their pastimes to the full.


Sharnbrook House is a 19th century period building situated in idyllic grounds with terraced gardens and pathways leading to its own lake. Sharnbrook House benefits from being in the hub of the village with all the local amenities within a short walking distance.


Sharnbrook House has always been part of the local community and all the staff team and volunteers continue to embrace the village spirit.
I pride myself on always making myself available to all who come into contact with the home and will always find the time to sit and discuss any issues that may arise or just have a chat over a cup of tea.


The staff team and myself strongly believe that all who come into contact with the home should have a positive experience, whether they are residing or just visiting.


I personally believe that this is each individual’s home, not just a care home, where family and friends are always welcome.
