Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother moved in in July this year and I and my two sisters visit individually once a week so we have had a lot of contact with all the staff.
There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere and we have found all the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly.
My mother can be quite difficult sometimes but
the staff take it in their stride and are endlessly patient.
Emma always knows exactly what is going on and has been incredibly helpful in making sure everything that needs sorting out is done.
Anna on reception is endlessly positive and helpful and has spent time talking to mum to try to keep things in perspective.
Kim, the senior medical assistant (sorry probably not her correct title) has been very patient with mum's demands.
The management team have been amazingly helpful and every member of staff know mum's name and are wonderfully friendly and hard working to make sure mum's needs are met.

Speirs House is a well-led care home. The staff are welcoming and caring towards the residents and the family. Meal time is well led with a choice of meal and served in a calm dining room. The property is well maintained, clothing laundered daily, and the nursing team always ready to answer questions
and look after my mother very well. The manager has worked very hard to ensure the smooth running of Speirs House.

My nan has been here since October. Despite her reservations regarding making the difficult move to a home she has been very pleasantly surprised. She tells me every visit how happy she is and that I couldn't have found her anywhere nicer! This is a massive relief to me! All the staff are amazing and
really do care. Nans room is very comfortable and spacious. She says the food is lovely and that they are always eating! A big thank you to Mandy and her team.

We cannot be more grateful for the excellant care given to our aunt throughout the 4 years that she was resident at Broadlands. All the management staff are so kind and friendly and everyone is treated as family. We were also so grateful for the lengths Broadlands went to to enable our aunt to return
there in her last few weeks rather than remain in hospital. She could not have had better care.

My mother has been a resident at Sharnbrook since March 2023 and is very happy and comfortable. The 24/7 care of my mother is exemplary and staff are never in hurry and treat her with respect and dignity. As a family we thankful for the facility. Although her room is rather small she is happy there
with a lovely view of village activity from the upstairs window.. The home is a wonderful provision for her needs.

Lavender Fields

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Both my parents have been in Lavender Fields care home for 10 months. We have found the care staff to be very friendly, caring, and attentive. As a family, we visit 2 or 3 times a week and my parents, and their rooms, always appear well looked after. Staff have liaised effectively with us about any
concerns that have come up. The meals are of a good standard - we have eaten with Mum and Dad on a few occasions. My Mum, who is cognitively able, speaks highly of the staff. They looked after us especially well when they helped us celebrate my Dad's 90th birthday.
On the downside, Lavender Fields have struggled with recruiting senior managers, and also use quite a few agency staff, which isn't ideal. But day to day, our family's experience of Lavender Fields over the last 10 months has been a good one.

My mother in law transferred to Rose Cottage as she was becoming unhappy at the residential home she was at. We couldn't ask for better care for her as we live a few hours away.
We are kept up to date with her needs and progress, receive timely emails and calls when needed and the staff are always
accommodating, friendly and caring.
My mother in law is so much happier now, enjoying the activities and the other residents company.

Kingston House

I feel that Mum is always listened to by the staff at Kingston House. Mum is not the most sociable of people and enjoys the quiet of her room. However, she is always encouraged to join in with the wide range of activities. Recently Mum was asked by the entertainments staff if she would like a trip out
on the minibus, to which she replied only if her family could come to. This was relayed to me and I was made more than welcome accompanying staff and residents on a trip to a garden centre.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kingston House.

I have been meaning to send my sincere thanks & gratitude to all the staff of Henley House for the diligent way my dear mum has been cared & looked after. When she arrived in March of this year mum was a bag of nerves, living on her own for almost 10years of losing Dad,became too much, plus loosing a
son,she did remarkably well up to that point. Not wanting to leave her own home, mum just couldn't cope anymore.Mum originally just went in for a six week trial.Mum has blossomed since then, she is no longer lonely, worrying about things.Mum looks so well, she loves the staff & says how wonderful they all are.Mum has a lovely room, with bits & pieces of hers to personalize it.She even has showers now before it would have been a strip wash.Mum participates in most activities, she is enjoying life again, which I her daughter am happy,as I live away, this has given me peace of mind knowing my dear mum,is the person she used to be.So my deepest thanks to you all,you are truly marvellous at what you do.

In the 6 months since Mum has been a resident of Broadlands we have seen an improvement in her wellbeing & engagement with friends & family. The care home staff have been welcoming & supportive to both Mum & our family. This has resulted in a smooth move into the home. All the home staff seem comitted
to giving all the residents good care in a quality environment. Its great to feel such a wellcoming atmosphere & cooperation working.

My mother has stayed in Speirs House for over two years. From the start, she has been well looked after and safe. The staff are all fantastic, kind and helpful. My mother's room is clean. There are plenty of activities. The food is good. I want to thank the manager of Speirs House and all the staff
for taking such good care of my mother. The recent CQC report is good, and this is well deserved. Thank you, everyone. I really appreciate all that you do for my mother.

De Lucy provided nanny with the highest standards of care and concern and made her time at the home as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much to ask from the staff and they all treated her like one of the family. We were also made to feel very welcome to visit whenever we pleased. The peace and

My mother has resided at Broadlands for over 2 years. During this time both she & I have been reasonably happy with her care & treatment at the home. The one issue that I have is the increase in residential care fees, whilst I realise that costs increase for all of us, I feel that over double the national
inflation rate for both last year 24/25 & this 25/26 is excessive.
