The staff moved very swiftly in getting my mother into the residential home. Once in everyone were most helpful any made the transition easy. Anything we asked for was provided. Advice and help was always very useful and freely given. Thank you all very much.

What an excellent home this is, it has been one of the best choices we have made. My mum has been in the home for nearly a year and the care she has received, the activities provided and the staff's dedication has been brilliant. My mum's quality of life has improved and knowing this and that she is
so well looked after has given us such peace of mind, thank you.
Reply from Rebecca Bewley, Home Manager at Henley House

Thank you for those lovely words. We love to see positive changes when residents see there are benefits of friendship, company and stimulation from being part of the community at Henley House. Mum is very much part of the Henley family, and it's a privilege to have her here with such lovely support from her family. I'll ensure those comments are passed on to the team.

The home manager and mini bus driver went over and above to ensure that my relative was able to attend an event which they recognised was very important to her.
I find the senior carer excellent and feel that she really cares about the people she looks after.
I have no hesitation recommending all
of the facilities that Henley House has to offer and am confident in the care and commitment that they are giving my relative.

My wonderful aunt recently passed away after several years at Broadlands. From the moment we visited we knew this was going to be her forever home. From the warmth of the community and carers, the magnificent gardens, the activities, food and care she received we never had anything other than great
experiences .

My mother died in Broadlands at the end of March, having resided there for almost 5 years. There is nothing that the management or staff could have done to improve the care and love provided. From day one, everyone was wonderful. My mother was not easy but Broadlands treated her with the utmost respect,
patience and dignity to the very end. I, and my family have been treated likewise. It is clearly a vocation to the staff. The end of life care was perfection. Thank you.

This care home time after time exceeds expectations. Their wish come true and warmth of care initiatives created by their activity manager have been superb. My mother had a visit from a Shetland pony to the home, a group of residents celebrated the handing over of the lamp to start the pre-VE celebrations.
So much so both have created much interest from local papers, radio and tv. If ever there was an award for care home of the year then this one should win it. The staff treat residents as if they were part of their own family. To be honest, I cant praise them enough, thank you Harleston House!

Mum had a spell in hospital during September 2024. Mum didn't do well there but on return to Harleston House as been helped back to the best she can be. All staff have encouraged mum to do more. The daily activities have stimulated mum to participate more than she did before. To be honest on discharge
from hospital we thought mum wouldn't make Christmas. Harleston House helped her to have a great Christmas.

My dad has been in the home for a while now and I am very impressed with all the staff. They have been very supportive to my dad and also myself. I like the fact that they include all the residents. No one is singled out. The staff done the utmost to make the residents enjoy the festivities and I attended
the Christmas carol concert with Dad. Thank you.

Our overall experience is excellent. Dad has been treated with dignity and is looking better than he has for months. The care and support is wonderful. Staff are respectful and friendly. The management is obviously top class as the home is run so well. Dad's room is lovely. He has a window so he can
see the sky and we were able to put up his pictures and bring his own chair in. Everywhere is clean and well maintained. The food and drink look delicious - it's a long time since Dad has eaten so well. There are plenty of stimulating and fun activities going on daily and participation is not mandatory. Family as so pleased Dad is received the proper care as we discovered that we were unable to provide this.

I want to take the time to send this review because I think it is important to let people know the difference staff here make to people's lives. Our lovely Mum went into Henley House in 2023. We spent a long time choosing the right place and I have to say that from the moment we walked in we knew this
was right for Mum. Mum has dementia and needs dedicated care, every single one of the staff who care for Mum are absolutely fabulous. She is always clean, happy and well cared for. Any difficult problems are handled professionally and caringly. Management run the facility brilliantly and it is beautifully clean. The reception staff are smiley and welcoming. Any family concerns and feelings are considered and we always feel valued.
I have no hesitation in recommending Henley House to anyone who has a dear relative who needs deeper care, it is not a 'facility' it is a home as in a place for our loved ones to live in comfort and where we can visit and spend time with them.

Dad unfortunately was only a resident here for just over a week on the dementia floor, my brother and I were very impressed with the care he received until he passed away unexpectedly.
We wanted mum to come here initially, for respite care after a lengthy and traumatic stay in hospital where she lost
a lot of mobility due to heart failure. We are very happy with the care mum received, especially as the care is complex. Small niggles but we feel confident they get addressed.
Reply from Rebecca Bewley, Home Manager at Henley House

Thank you for the lovely review. It has been a pleasure to enable Mum to improve from her stay in hospital and following the loss of her husband. Her specialist dietary needs are complex, but nothing we cannot handle and she has most definitely become one of the Henley House family of residents.

I arrived in the summer needing to change from intermittent care. I am now as fully independent as possible and enjoying my life. Thanks especially to the in house staff who make this possible every day. All make me feel as though I'm the only one, kitchen staff make the extra effort to make my diet
safe.

I am also happy to continue to be your 'personal shopper' for all your preferred specialist food, we try to go above expectations when these things make a difference to someone's day. It is also a pleasure for you to have your family here for celebrations, this is your home to use and all are welcome. So thank you for such a lovely review, I will pass on the comments to the team.

Henley House, in my experience is the best care home I have visited. The building its self is very impressive, all the carers and seniors we have encountered, not to mention the cleaning staff have been amazing in the three years my mother in law has been living here.
It's hard to find anything to
grumble about. Highly recommended care home, in my opinion.

Broadlands is outstanding in all aspects. A beautiful setting, warm, caring team who go to extreme lengths to provide daily entertainment and close attention without a feeling of control, excellent meals in a hotel-like setting. My mother feels very much at home and well looked after.
As I live abroad,
it is such a relief to know she is content and settled and, as she herself says, couldn´t be in a better, happier place.
So many thanks to the Broadland team.

Our dad died recently at Broadlands at the age of 106. Initially, he went to Broadlands for a two-week respite period but it was so successful that he decided to stay and it wasn't long until he began to refer to it as "home". He had two very contented years there and it made for a very happy last chapter
to his long life. He always spoke so highly of all the staff and said he felt looked after with what felt like love. The house is very comfortable and well-maintained and the garden leading down to the Broads is really beautiful. There are activities twice a day as well as trips and visits from various entertainers and others from the local community. Mealtimes feel almost restaurant-like with high-standard, home-cooked food. All the staff were warm and welcoming and there was a lot of laughter and fun. There was always someone to talk to and something going on. We felt able to trust staff to care for Dad and communication with us was excellent. We highly recommend Broadlands.
