Mum has been at Harleston House for 3 1/2 years. Her care has been excellent through out as her condition has declined. All the carers have time to talk to mum so they can address her wishes and needs. Mum is less able to join some of the activities but is still included when she is interested, I am
very happy mum chose to live in Harleston House which has become her home.

Mum has been in Harleston House for 18 months now. I am one of three sisters, and we are all very happy with the care she receives on a daily basis. The home itself is warm and welcoming with a pretty garden. Mum's room is light and airy and always clean. The staff are lovely and really do care about
the residents. Mum is always clean and in clean clothes every day. The food is very good, and the entertainment and activities are endless. As a family, we feel that mum is receiving the best care she possibly could, outside of the family home, which unfortunately, we are unable to provide 24/7

My aunt has been in your care for over a year now. She appears to be happy and content. She is always clean and tidy. The food always looks amazing, and plenty of fluids. The entertainment is brilliant, lots of variety, everyone appears to enjoy it, and all the staff appear to be happy in their workplace.
Well done. Keep it up.

I cannot praise this care home enough. The staff are absolutely wonderful and it gives me great peace of mind knowing my mum is so well looked after. She is genuinely happy there, which means everything to me.
The level of care, kindness, and attention she receives is outstanding, and the activities
are amazing - there is always something engaging going on that keeps her active and smiling. It truly feels like a home, not just a care facility.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this care home. From everything I've seen, the standard of care is excellent and my relative is very well looked after. The staff are kind, attentive, and genuinely amazing, and it's clear they really care about the residents. It's reassuring to know she's
in such good hands.

I have been visiting a friend of a service user for 2 years now and have become very fond of the staff and other service users.
The carers and activities lead are very bright, confident and always very welcoming and extremely caring and professional to our families, friends and service users.
I
enjoy coming in to see my friend and to also have a friendly chat with others.
I have made a couple of friends from just coming into the home also and I always feel so comfortable being around everyone.
The carers work so hard in their jobs and even when sometimes it becomes challenging for them, they don't ever show strain or change character.
I really think this home is one of the most friendliest and brightest homes I've been in.

In September 2022 when Social Services instructed us to visit local care homes in order to find a new home for mum, we were so lucky to have discovered Henley House and cannot imagine she could possibly have been looked after by more caring, fabulous people.
Life always seems to be busy for residents,
and through the past three years we have been constantly surprised by the wide range of activities they have provided, and we will always treasure the images we have of mum doing everything from baking cakes to handling exotic animals. They even managed to get her out on the river Orwell, an adventure we know was really special for her.
We have been humbled by the care and attention that mum has received, not just during the period when dementia became a serious threat to life, but throughout the whole of her stay. A lovely home, staffed by lovely people, and very easy to recommend.
Reply from Rebecca Bewley, Home Manager at Henley HouseDear Mike, we are humbled by your kind words. Henley is special, it's all due to the residents, team AND relatives and visitors that make it so. I shall pass this onto the team and thank you for your involvement in our Henley 'family'. Please don't be a stranger, we will always remember Mum.

Couldn't have wished for a nicer home than Henley House. When mum moved in, obviously as a family we were worried how mum would adjust, aswell as the family accepting this new normal. Henley House has become mums home aswell as feeling comfortable for the family to visit. Mum has a beautiful room &
private ensuite. There's so many activities scheduled, which I like to get involved in too, Activities staff do a fantastic job. You can clearly see, that all the staff love what they do, they are so caring & have a natural nurturing nature. Knowing mum is well cared for, helps to relieve the worry we had.
Reply from Rebecca Bewley, Home Manager at Henley HouseThank you for your very kind words, we shall share these with the team. Reviews show those looking for care for their loved ones, what to expect from personal, experience but we also appreciate the support you give Mum, and as it's her home, it should also feel yours and free for you to visit at any time. Thank you again.

We cannot be more grateful for the excellant care given to our aunt throughout the 4 years that she was resident at Broadlands. All the management staff are so kind and friendly and everyone is treated as family. We were also so grateful for the lengths Broadlands went to to enable our aunt to return
there in her last few weeks rather than remain in hospital. She could not have had better care.

I have been meaning to send my sincere thanks & gratitude to all the staff of Henley House for the diligent way my dear mum has been cared & looked after. When she arrived in March of this year mum was a bag of nerves, living on her own for almost 10years of losing Dad,became too much, plus loosing a
son,she did remarkably well up to that point. Not wanting to leave her own home, mum just couldn't cope anymore.Mum originally just went in for a six week trial.Mum has blossomed since then, she is no longer lonely, worrying about things.Mum looks so well, she loves the staff & says how wonderful they all are.Mum has a lovely room, with bits & pieces of hers to personalize it.She even has showers now before it would have been a strip wash.Mum participates in most activities, she is enjoying life again, which I her daughter am happy,as I live away, this has given me peace of mind knowing my dear mum,is the person she used to be.So my deepest thanks to you all,you are truly marvellous at what you do.
Reply from Rebecca Bewley, Home Manager at Henley HouseWe are truly touched by your words about Mum. In the 6 months since Mum has been a resident of Broadlands we have seen an improvement in her wellbeing & engagement with friends & family. The care home staff have been welcoming & supportive to both Mum & our family. This has resulted in a smooth move into the home. All the home staff seem comitted
to giving all the residents good care in a quality environment. Its great to feel such a wellcoming atmosphere & cooperation working.

My mother has resided at Broadlands for over 2 years. During this time both she & I have been reasonably happy with her care & treatment at the home. The one issue that I have is the increase in residential care fees, whilst I realise that costs increase for all of us, I feel that over double the national
inflation rate for both last year 24/25 & this 25/26 is excessive.
Reply from Anne Maas, Home Manager at BroadlandsThank you for your review, we understand concerns about fee increases and always strive to keep them as low as possible. The 2025-26 review reflects rising costs affecting the entire care sector, including higher Real Living Wage rates, National Insurance contributions, and general cost-of-living increases such as food, water, and waste collection. As a Real Living Wage employer, we're committed to paying our carers fairly in line with national guidance. While the NHS is exempt from National Insurance Contributions, unfortunately, Social Care isn't, nor are our suppliers who have had to pass these costs on. These government changes, and wider inflation has made care delivery more expensive. Despite these pressures, we continue to monitor and renegotiate contracts to control costs while maintaining the high quality of our services.

What an excellent home this is, it has been one of the best choices we have made. My mum has been in the home for nearly a year and the care she has received, the activities provided and the staff's dedication has been brilliant. My mum's quality of life has improved and knowing this and that she is

The home manager and mini bus driver went over and above to ensure that my relative was able to attend an event which they recognised was very important to her.
