The home is excellent and my only reservation is that where my friend's room is there is a very noisy kitchen next door and an office opposite the room with a door that is continually banging shut extremely loudly. Surely a door closer would be a better option. I must street that he, I and his family do not want him moved. He likes his room and the outlook.

We do not live locally and the staff always phone us about any concerns so that, although we don’t see her every week, we are always fully up-to-date as regards her mental and physical health.

2. Access to medical care. The GP visits the home every week and will see any resident who needs help. The staff are able to get support from the GP at all other times. I have met the GP on several occasions - he is excellent.
Mum seems content. She enjoys the food and was particularly pleased to find out that wine is sometimes served with meals.
The fees seem very reasonable, particularly when compared to other homes. Mum is well looked after and I have peace of mind so it's worth every penny.

If I need to discuss anything relating to his care someone is always available to talk to and follow up with action if required. My brother's move to the care home was something that we all felt rather anxious about, particularly given a geographic move. I am pleased to say it has been successful, and in large part that is due to the high level of care given by the team at Kingston House.
