While we aimed to act quickly, the process was disjointed. We're truly sorry for the added stress and have taken steps to prevent this happening again.We were saddened that, after reassessment, we could no longer safely welcome your relative back. As discussed with you, she now requires nursing care we're not registered to provide.Our 'Home for Life' is a financial assurance and applies when a resident's funding runs out. Please accept our apologies if this was ever unclear.We hear your concerns about staffing. Thank you for your review, we are sorry that aspects of the service we provide are not meeting your expectations. We are very actively recruiting for care staff and for the role of General Manager, and at all times we have had an experienced manager at an appropriately senior level overseeing the home. We were recently joined by our new Activities Coordinator, and offering our residents more opportunities to go out for trips is a top priority. Our Support Services Manager is working closely with the Activities and Catering teams, along with support from homes and head office staff, to develop these hugely important aspects of our service which have so much impact on residents' quality of life.

I enjoy the family atmosphere at Lavender Fields. I’m always around
to help arrange bedrooms when our new residents move in whether it’s
to hang a shelf or favourite picture. When I’m not at work I enjoy fishing and spending time with my family.
I love working at Lavender Fields and have worked in care for 13 years now.
What makes my job great is seeing the residents are happy and when I
can put a smile on their faces. My hobbies are riding my bike and going to the gym.
I enjoy the daily contact with residents and their relatives, hopefully people see me as a happy face on reception when they enter the home. Away from home I embrace family life and my daughter always keep me busy, when I do get to enjoy some me time I like going to the cinema.
I am massively passionate about cooking and healthy eating, I’ve
always promoted good nutritious healthy food. I really enjoy talking to
the residents and including them in my meal choices for the home. I have a great young team who really enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busy kitchen. In my spare time I enjoy flying aeroplanes and helicopters.
