My lovely mum has been in Lavender Fields for two years now. It is a wonderful environment with staff who are not only caring but go beyond the call of duty and embrace us into their family. Over the past year, during Covid, they have made sure we are all kept informed, and we have relied on them in
our absence. I don’t think any of us really know the extent of the work they have had to do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. That 100th Birthday party was spectacular. Special thanks to the team and the leader of this extraordinary team and everyone else behind the scenes. We salute you.

Lavender Fields is amazing from facilities to staff. I cannot recommend them more highly to anyone. I have never questioned whether leaving my grandmother is their care was the right decision because it so obviously was. A real 'home' with staff dedicated to a quality of care that cannot be exaggerated.

My mother has been a resident of Lavender Fields for over a year, and my brother and I cannot fault them for anything. The staff are fantastic; dedicated and have a genuine fondness for Mum and the other residents. They are also friendly to my brother and me when we visit. We cannot see how Mum could
be better cared for. Amazing place.

We are so happy with the care that our mother is receiving at Lavender Fields. She is so happy and says how much she loves it. The home is beautiful and everywhere is spotlessly clean. Mum enjoys the different activities that are organised - there always seems to be something going on! The staff are
very warm and welcoming and are always happy to talk and update us on how Mum is getting on. This was particularly supportive when she first went into the home and we were worried about the transition. There is a weekly email keeping us up to date with what is going on and the activities that Mum can take part in. We have been lucky that Lavender Fields has been able to keep visits going in various forms and it is lovely now that I can visit Mum in her room and hold her hand. I would highly recommend Lavender Fields.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! To everyone involved in welcoming our mum and dad to Lavender Fields, you have been amazing. From the moment we spoke to the family liaison manager we knew we had picked the right place. So efficient, so welcoming, so friendly and patient. Nothing has been too much trouble.
One member of staff is wonderful and just makes everything happen. Another was lovely and whose patience personified moving furniture and putting up their seven large paintings and a new kings size bed in their beautiful room. A staff member who runs the floor has made sure everything runs like clockwork. My parents were buzzing with excitement, twenty out of twenty they gave us on their first night in the home. We can’t thank you enough, your whole philosophy of treating people as individuals and the special care you give every resident really shines through. Well done team, we look forward to getting to know you!

My mom moved to Lavender Fields as one of the first residents, from another care home.
The staff made the move there a seamless experience and continue to provide a genuine consistency of care, nothing is too much trouble for either the residents or their visitors.
In these difficult times, I take
great comfort knowing that Mom is somewhere that she is both safe and well cared for.
Lavender Fields is a lovely building with lovely staff, I think we are lucky to be part of it.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming and they do an excellent job in looking after my nan who has been a resident for a number of years now. The building is modern and is always clean, tidy and well maintained. Throughout the pandemic, they have been committed to keeping the residents safe and
have gone above and beyond in following government guidelines in addition to implementing their own initiatives to keep everyone as safe as possible. I would highly recommend Lavender Fields to anyone considering it.

The care provided and the Home are second to none and mum is very happy there; she moved in on the 25th February 2021. There are a couple of teething issues, which we are working through and so far the team at the home have been supportive. It is safe to say that our expectations have been met, and
the only negative so far has been the meals on offer. Breakfast and lunches (albeit on the slightly small side for mum, however, if she asks for extra then she does get extra) are varied and "lovely" but tea times seem to have gone downhill slightly with only sandwiches on offer, with the same few basic choices of soup. Initially, there were alternatives of warm sausage rolls/baked potatoes/pasties and it would be really good to see these back on the menu. To be fair, mum does have a good appetite and possibly eats more than some other residents, but it would be good to see her fully satisfied with her meals as they are highlights of her day! She is loving being cared for; thank you.

We have been very impressed with the care and attention given to residents during the last year given the problems of dealing with the Covid virus. Whenever we have rung, the staff have been polite and helpful, there are always plenty of activities available for residents to do if they wish to join
in, and we have many times benefited from being able to Zoom our friend and enjoy seeing her albeit via a computer screen. It makes such a difference being able to see someone you care about. It will be a pleasure to be able to visit Lavender Fields again when we are permitted to do so.

Lavender Fields is the most caring and thoughtful care home we've experienced. The staff are excellent at keeping us up to date with how Mum is doing. They've also done an incredible job at keeping Mum entertained during Covid-19 lockdowns, despite being unable to go out or continue with some of their
regular activities. We cannot thank the carers and activity team enough for everything they do and especially in facilitating Zoom Birthday parties. We all had a lovely Zoom party to celebrate both Mum and Dad's Birthdays in the last couple of weeks. It has made a big difference to the family morale to be able to celebrate milestones and remain in touch during Covid-19.

Lavender Fields has provided loving, consistent care for my mother over the last twoi and a half years. She required four hourly medication for her Parkinson's Disease which was always on time and vital to her mobility and cognitive function. As an ex-nurse, she had high expectations and always confirmed
to us how well she was cared for. At her last stages of life, we were able to ensure we were with her and the team cared and supported us all. We are forever grateful.

'Come as strangers; leave as friends' is the message in the entrance but Lavender Fields is far more. It's a whole new family, where residents and families can feel loved, valued and secure. Carers go way above and beyond simple care, bringing smiles and laughter as residents engage in such a wide range
of activities: choir, pool, flower arranging, creative mixed media art, gardening, scrabble, cinema club (with a wide range of new films as well as classics) and more. There are outings, exercise classes and coffee mornings. The care first thing in the morning as carers take early cups of tea and tailored breakfasts, as well as late at night care is outstanding. To understand and appreciate the unique environment you need to go beyond the entrance hall to where it all happens - in the lounges, craft room, cinema and bar. I have visited a number of care homes but Lavender Fields is in a class of its own when it comes to knowing, understanding and valuing every individual so that each day is worth living.

Sadly my mother died on 22nd January 2019, however, I feel I should write to praise the staff at Lavender Fields. They cared for my mother for three years with great kindness, dignity and love.
This care home deserves much praise and I would highly recommend to anyone. There is always a warm, friendly
welcome offer of tea etc and an open door visitor policy which helped to fill in visits.
The care profession has taken bashing over the years so I believe with my experience Lavender Fields deserve my plaudit for its excellent care.

Since my brother moved into Lavender Fields I have been more than happy with the care he has received. The staff all seem caring and that the residents are part of the family.
I feel they have his bests interests at heart. He can be difficult at times but the staff always seem able to calm him down.

On our initial visit to Lavender Fields, it was very apparent how friendly and welcoming all the staff were and how settled the residents seemed, despite the fact that the home had only been open for a short while. Lavender Fields is beautifully furnished and equipped and there is a full programme
of activities for the residents to enjoy throughout the week.


Making the decision to move a much-loved relative into a care home, is a very difficult and emotional one, but I really can’t praise all the staff at Lavender Fields highly enough for their care, compassion and professionalism and nothing was too much trouble. Staff were so helpful at trying to resolve various problems and we felt fully supported during this difficult time.


Obviously, my sister and I miss Mum so much, but I for one, will also miss my visits to Lavender Fields and feeling part of the special ‘Lavender Fields Family’.

The manager has overseen a major move from another Greensleeves home in July 2018 with utmost professionalism and care for the residents.
There are so many issues when people have to go into care that Lavender Fields and the staff are aware of and deal with in a very sensitive way. Since my father's
death, my mother has been welcomed there anytime. I know from personal experience that this is the best care home in mid-Kent and as a solicitor specialising in elderly vulnerable law, this would be the care home that provides the best care, activities and choice for residents, in my view.
